I'd like to take a bubble bath, but I don't have any bubble bath liquid. Can I substitute Dawn? Or will it dry out my delicate skin?
Use oatmeal instead.

By all means!
And scrub hard. Until your skins starts coming off.
Throw in some Ajax or Comet, while you're at it.

Oatmeal does not make bubbles!

Of course you can. Your cooter will itch to no end…but go ahead. Bless your hear.

Fuck that! I don't want an itchy cooter!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 15, 2023 9:19 PM |
DId anyone hear about of the varieties of Dawn taking non-stick coatings off of cookware? I'm thinking this was Dawn Platinum.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 15, 2023 9:44 PM |
It's probably OK. They used it on those baby birds after the Exxon Valdez oil spill.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 15, 2023 9:57 PM |
Sure. Side perk: if a lantern fly lands in there it’s toast
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 15, 2023 10:00 PM |
Don’t do it! You’ll be farting blue bubbles for a month!
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 15, 2023 10:00 PM |
Your skin will be sandpaper. Go for it.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 15, 2023 10:07 PM |
Use shampoo
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 15, 2023 10:28 PM |
Just eat a can of beans before getting in the tub
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 15, 2023 10:52 PM |
While Dawn is good enough to remove crude oil from waterfowl, only Palmolive is good enough for your skin!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 15, 2023 10:58 PM |
Do you have oily feathers, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 16, 2023 2:01 AM |
Dawn cuts through grease so your asshole will appreciate being clean for a change.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 16, 2023 2:07 AM |
I do recall the dishpan clitoris fears expressed in the Palmolive ad produced for The Playboy Channel. “You ‘re soaking in it.” “In dishwashing liquid?!!”
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 16, 2023 2:25 AM |
Thank you, r15! I had Dawn and Palmolive commercials confused. Rest assured I used neither in my bath, for fear of irritating the oily feathers in my vagina.

Dawn's great for bubble baths, if you use a little trick my dad taught me when I was a kid: before stepping into the bubble bath, cover your body with a quart of 10/W/40. It works even better if you can get an environment too. scrub you.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 17, 2023 8:45 PM |
Just add laundry soap, leave your clothes on and you can complete two tasks.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 17, 2023 11:27 PM |
Unless you have fleas, no, it's not recommended.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 18, 2023 12:24 AM |
When I was a kid, I used to use Joy.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 18, 2023 12:26 AM |
U can drink it!
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 18, 2023 12:35 AM |
I use it as both shampoo and as a refreshingly bubbly ass-douche.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 18, 2023 12:57 AM |
No just as an anal douche.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 18, 2023 1:13 AM |
Um no. Dawn is a degreaser. Guess what is in your skin? Natural oils. You would be stripping your natural oils. I mean unless you are covered in crude oil and you are a baby duck, yes. Otherwise. No.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 18, 2023 1:25 AM |
We used dishwashing liquid for bubble baths as kids - that was before Dawn was introduced - so probably Joy or Ivory Liquid. We survived.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 18, 2023 2:21 AM |
Just go to the nearest Piggly Wiggly and get your ass a box of Mister Bubbles, for crying out loud!
by Anonymous | reply 29 | September 18, 2023 2:21 AM |
You're soaking in it.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 18, 2023 2:26 AM |
Ivory and Joy were not like Dawn. Let me put it this way. If you wash your car with Dawn it will strip the wax from the car. You really want sit in that?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | September 18, 2023 2:29 PM |
There's are reason they use Dawn to clean off animals caught in oil spills. They don't use Joy or Ivory for that. Those soaps won't dry your skin nearly the same as Dawn.

Okay, Boomer, but no one is saying OP will die if he does this. We're saying his skin will be dried out from lack of natural oil to an extreme degree that will be both uncomfortable and unsightly. Your memaw finding an economical way to wash your 6 year old ass in 1951 is not really relevant.

Why so agist, R33?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | September 28, 2023 2:37 AM |
Why so bad at spelling, R34?
Oh, dear.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | September 28, 2023 2:43 AM |
I swear I never bathed with Dawn!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | September 28, 2023 2:45 AM |
Do you have a Dollar Store nearby? Maybe you could pick up a bottle of Matey.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 28, 2023 2:50 AM |
Has OP been refraining from bathing this whole time while we debate the merits of Dawn for his ablutions?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 28, 2023 4:27 AM |
Are you a 🐧 or a 🦦 in an oil spill, op?

Are you a duck caught in the Exxon Valdez?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | September 28, 2023 5:57 AM |
I recommend Philosophy from QVC.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | September 28, 2023 5:58 AM |
Postmates much??? Order some!!
by Anonymous | reply 42 | September 28, 2023 6:44 AM |
R15, I came here to post that.
I thank you.
Madge does too.

No, I took a bath. I still haven't taken a bubble bath. I can't find one I like.
