Hot, Hot, Hot

It’s so hot….how hot is it where you are? I’m trying to do some end of city gardening and I can’t. The temp isn’t that high - it’s between 80-90 degrees but the humidity is 90% and dew point is 75. I can’t breathe. Yesterday I was only outside about 10 minutes and I started getting nauseous. I was drinking some nice cold water from my insulated cup but it wasn’t helping. I had to go indoors.

Stay indoors and hydrate gramps!

Why are elderly people more susceptible to dehydration in hot weather? Is it because sweat glands dry up and disappear? Is it because capillaries also dry up and go away?
