"Bottoms" (2023)

Rachel Sennott was the worst thing about the very bad Kyra Sedgwick show Call Your Mother.

The Prince from red Hot and Royal Blue is a shitastic actor.

There's something distasteful about a lesbian woman (non-binary, of course) giving her movie a title that immediately conjures images of gay male sex. There might be a reason why the movie has that title, but I cannot imagine it's good enough to justify it.

Wow, that trailer was quite cringe-inducing.

The old trope by passive-aggressive predatory dykes about how everyone is oppressing them, but in film form. Exhilarating.

Why those Lezzies look so haggard?

R11, I almost didn't see the movie because the trailer was so awful, but relented because the reviews were strong

It's a very mixed bag. The plot is dumb and almost everything about the film requires a massive suspension of disbelief, but most scenes have a few funny lines. It's a bunch of good jokes connected by a terrible plot.

Is it about bottom surgery?

'Comedy' now seems to be a cranky, cooler-than-thou whine. And don't forget to cuss a lot; helicopter Boomers never let their boonchkins say the f-word or the brown word (or 'gay').

I rented this movie last night on the advice of a friend and it’s my favorite film of the year. It’s absolutely brilliant.
