Why the fascination?

I think he's cute and an aw-shucks kind of sexy. I think he was brilliant at coming up with 'show pieces' as dances on DWTS. It's a strange talent that has little to do with teaching the steps, like a teacher in a ballroom dancing class. It's more like very very quickly designing a Broadway number for a novice (well, usually a novice, he did have Jennifer Grey but she was 50.

Len's tribute dance had me in tears, too. It was so beautiful, so elegant, and the perfect tribute to him. I don't know how some of the pros were able to get through it.

There's something about watching a brilliantly executed dance that just moves you to your core.

The dance was simple and elegant, just as Len kept advocating.

Mauricio did his best dance this week, but I think modern dancing helps hide a multitude of sins. It's more about body movement, not technical precision, so you can get away with more.

Reaction to Goodman tribute.

Sorry, two dancers should have been invited: Cheryl Burke and Sharna Burgess.

Cheryl has badmouthed DWTS on her podcast or some such. They also didn't invite Edyta Sliwinska's husband Alec Mazo who won the first ever DWTS with Kelly Monaco. But he complained so much about their lousy pay (I think when the show started the pros were paid less than $10,000 -- Alec said he could make more money at his dance studio) -- anyway, they punished him with a few super model losers and then Toni Braxton, and then I think he was out for good.

Anyway, they couldn't invite everybody so it doesn't really matter to me - at least Louis van Amstel, Edyta, and I think Anna Trebunskaya , go all the way back to show #1. I don't think Cheryl was part of that cast.

So Keo and Sharna admit they were cut from the show and didn't want to be. Bet there are plenty others but I bet think the show lets them lie if they want to and say they wanted to leave (when they didn't).
