Liz was exceptionally beautiful and charismatic, even if she was an extremely affected actress whose delivery was theatrical and mannered. As R1 has said, she also knew how to tread the fine line between reasonable ostentation and the garish vulgarity of a nouveau riche, while remaining pleasant, approachable and humble - at least in public.

J.Ho is plain without makeup, isn't particularly charismatic, is a bad actress who always plays herself and lacks both style and any real glamour. She is just a trashy underclass bitch who slept her way into superstardom and like all parvenues, she thinks that divadom is the same as rudeness, being unreasonably demanding and lacking any finesse whatsoever, just because 'you got money'. JLo is almost 60 and far from plain. Her face just looks washed out because when you wear makeup for so long you can’t stop. Ru Paul can attest to that. Jlo is still in great shape. Liz while I would argue had prettier eyes than Jlo is equally as beautiful. However by the time she was 45 she couldn’t say no to diamonds and pies and it clearly showed. IMO: Elizabeth Taylor never came across as pretentious or infatuated with herself. She seems to have had a delightful sense of humor, and she had friends among her peers,. She was genuine and very candid in person. Watching her on LArry King, or with Barbara Walters I got the impression she was empathetic, and kind. I get nothing like that from JLo. JLo seems very programmed and calculating and there's no spontaneity that I can see. Any comparisons between the two would have to be very superficial.

One thing I will say is Liz seem to naturally exude class. Like she just felt like royalty and it came across in interviews and commercials. That’s probably why she was humble at least outwardly so. Queen Bey reminds me of her in that regard. They just naturally exude beauty, class and excellence so they don’t feel the need to pull the diva card.
