What do you use?
Do any of you mix and inject your own peptides?

I feel so silly bumping a three-year old thread, but at least I have the consideration to do a search before starting a new thread. OP, if you're still around, I'm about to start this. Well, it'll be a mix of two injectable and two oral peptides. Primarily focused on fat loss, muscle gain and, then, general anti-aging. I do all the 'good stuff' -- weightlifting, cardio, calorie deficit, creatine etc. But, square dab in the midst of middle age, I need an accelerant. So, about to start this process. After you spend weeks doing some research online, it starts to get less scary as a prospect. And just DIY at home is going to save me THOUSANDS over going to a clinic to have them do the exact same thing I'll be doing at home. Plus, I'm getting comprehensive labs to monitor my health and I have a very direct relationship with my doctor, so I'm making him aware of everything I'll be taking.
Did you end up starting anything? A lot has changed in this world since you started this thread!

Some threads are better left alone.

Unless you're a professional athlete, you don't need this.
I also wonder if OP wasn't asking abot facial peptides.

No one NEEDS most supplements, R3. But that doesn't mean one can't BENEFIT from certain peptides and compounds.

Sorry hit 'post' too quickly. Also meant to add, R3, OP specifically asked about injectable peptides (some of which, yes, can benefit anti-aging in skincare or hair.) I'm not doing any of those, but I already use topical peptides which I highly recommend! Some of my friends thought I had botox recently, but it was just adding peptides to my skincare routine that have helped. They can be pricy, but a little goes a long way so the per/day cost ends up being very manageable.
I love these ones (links, below...)
For face this one...

Yes! I started Tirzepatide a month ago. $100 a month vs $400 for a compounding pharmacy. I will be starting Glow and Nad+ injections soon (also reconstituting) no issues!

$100 is amazing, R10! Congrats. What's been your experience so far? Are you doing injections for Glow or capsules?

Are you radioactive yet?

[quote]but I already use topical peptides which I highly recommend!
They're a complete scam, but I'm not surprised you'd fall for them. There's no evidence they penetrate the epidermis, they're just a super expensive way to hydrate your skin and temporarily fill your wrinkles, much like topical collagen.

Yes, OP. But it will only work if you own a labubu and inject them while drinking an iced matcha latte.

You people ain't right in the head.

R13 - it's more complex than that. It depends upon the peptide. Some peptides are small enough (under 500 Da, short chain) to penetrate the skin. Especially when they're in products that have lipid modification or encapsulation.
For example, GHK-Cu, one of the best peptides in topical skincare is small enough and has clinical studies demonstrating that ability to penetrate the skin. You're certainly right that not all peptides are small enough to penetrate the skin, so investigating the exact peptide makeup of the product + the product's "delivery method" (ex: lipid modification) is essential.
Sorry for adding some nuance to your declarative statements.

R1 here - I started this process a little later than anticipated. I'm half way through my first cycle of the combined CJC / Ipamorelin (Non-Dac) peptide and I'm shocked at how well it's worked so far. Everything I've ready suggests most people don't even see a minimal impact until 6 weeks into their cycle, but I started seeing it in week 2. I've done 4 weeks, dropped 3% body fat (so far) and gained 4 lbs of muscle mass. I was already doing weightlifting and cardio and counting calories and doing my protein macros and taking my creatine and hydrating and getting enough sleep. And... I'm still doing all of that... but this shit has really helped. It also has given me very deep sleep -- wasn't expecting that side effect, but, apparently it's a very common one. No negative side fx so far (blood glucose, blood pressure, heart rate all normal.) I'm supposed to cycle off it after 10 weeks, but, damn, that's going to be hard to do if it keep working this well. I thought it would be end of 2026 before I meet my goals, but, maybe I'll actually get there before 2026!

R10 here almost at goal 12 weeks in, 20lbs down on tirzepatide $100 a month. Did a cycle of GLOW ($89 for six weeks) will do one more before I comment on results. Nad+($89 a month) has given me a good bit of energy so I may stick with that.

Keep us posted on GLOW, r21. I already do so much topical skincare I'm not sure I see the benefit in an injectable, but curious to hear what your experience was. Did you do SS-31 and/or MOTS-C before your NAD+? I was advised to do both before starting NAD+.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 18, 2025 8:25 PM |
R20/22 I have not yet combined Nad+ with ss31 but will consider it since they seem to work even better together. In terms of glow I do see an improvement in skin texture (face and body -slightly less crepe-y ness, no change to dark spots. I will start my next round of six weeks of GLOW in November. Keep you posted.
