Kevin Costner: Christine Baumgartner is a CHEATING ADULTERESS WHORE, darlin'!

Kevin Costner says he didn't cheat on estranged wife Christine during their 18-year marriage, but he's not sure she can say the same.

Infidelity is now at the forefront of their ongoing divorce battle. According to court documents obtained by Yahoo Entertainment, the Yellowstone actor, 68, says he "does not know for a fact" whether 49-year-old Christine, who filed for divorce in May, engaged in any "extramarital romantic relationships" before their separation.

The documents were filed Aug. 21 — ahead of their child support hearing on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 as well as a November trial to determine the validity of their prenuptial agreement — and center on Kevin's finances. Christine is seeking all of Kevin’s financial records, both personal and for his 20-plus businesses, accusing him about being "evasive" about his money. The Dances With Wolves director is worth an estimated $400 million.

In an exhibit listing what records she demands he turn over, Christine, a former handbag designer, requests “all statements, receipts, invoices, canceled checks (front and back) and other documents reflecting expenses paid by you, or any person at your request or on your behalf, relating to any extramarital romantic relationships.”

Kevin objected to the demand, calling it “harassment,” but added that he “does not know for a fact if Christine engaged in any ‘extramarital romantic relationships’ before separation and, if so, whether she spent any of his money or charged any expenses in furtherance of her affair(s) on credit cards he paid.” However, he “has no responsive documents for ‘extramarital romantic relationships’ in which he engaged” to turn over “because he engaged in none.”

Rumors have swirled from the start of this bitter divorce that cheating was a factor. In May, there was an unverified rumor claiming he impregnated someone who worked on Yellowstone, which a source close to the actor quickly shot down as “not true.” The next month, real estate investor Daniel Starr, who rented one of the houses on the couple’s beachfront compound in Carpinteria, Calif., denied having an affair with Christine.

Kevin’s first divorce, from college sweetheart Cindy in 1994, involved alleged infidelity on his part, fueling the speculation this time around.

Christine was awarded $129,755 a month in temporary child support — toward the couple’s three children, Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13 — until the matter is settled at the upcoming hearing.

The bigger picture is she appears to be gearing up to contest the premarital agreement that she signed in 2004. Christine's lawyers have said she didn’t understand the prenup, giving her a $1.5 million settlement in case of divorce, when she signed it.

According to a new TMZ report, additional court documents filed by Christine state that Kevin’s wealth increased from $100 million to $400 million during their marriage. (He earned $19,517,0641 last year alone, largely fro Yellowstone.) If the prenup is enforced by the judge, his increase of wealth wouldn't matter because their agreement stipulates that all their earnings during their marriage are to remain separate. According to the outlet, she may try to argue that he didn't disclosed his full earnings when the prenup was put in place, therefore making it invalid.

Christine filed for divorce on May 1. Kevin claimed he didn’t want a divorce, and suggested that his wife had secretly planning it for months before pulling the trigger. The divorce quickly became contentious as she wouldn’t move out of the family home, per the prenup, but since has (though to another property owned by the star). He accused her of spending $188,000 a month on plastic surgery bills last year.

Last weekend, Kevin and Christine came face to face at a deposition for their divorce. The actor-director is now in Scotland, paparazzi photos show.

YES, Kevin!!!

Drag this pig through the mud!

by Anonymousreply 1August 25, 2023 8:00 PM

It just confirms what we all knew.

Christine is a cheating cunt gold digger.

I hope Kevin destroys her.

by Anonymousreply 2August 25, 2023 8:03 PM

JFC he is a big piece of shit and I know a cocktail waitress who fucks him/ does blow with him whenever he’s in Chicago and this has been going on since the beginning of his marriage.

by Anonymousreply 3August 25, 2023 8:11 PM

I love this!!!!

That gold digging whore Christine thought that Kevin would just roll over and die, rather than getting "bad publicity" from the divorce.

But it's fucking fantastic that he's doubling down, and calling her out for being the WHORE that she is!!!

Go Kevin!!!!

by Anonymousreply 4August 25, 2023 8:15 PM

More men need to start doing this in divorce hearings.

by Anonymousreply 5August 25, 2023 8:16 PM

MRA thread

by Anonymousreply 6August 25, 2023 8:25 PM

She put up with his cheating ass longer than his first wife and bore half his publicly acknowledged children. I think she deserves more than the pre-nup.

by Anonymousreply 7August 25, 2023 8:33 PM

He cheated on her as early as the honeymoon.

by Anonymousreply 8August 25, 2023 8:36 PM

Tee hee.

This is funny.

Christine will forever be known in Hollywood as a gold-digging whore.

At least Kevin is warning other rich men ahead of time.

by Anonymousreply 9August 26, 2023 8:36 PM

He’s still doing blow, R3?

Isn’t he 70 something years old or pretty fucking close?

While I’m sure he as good drug connections if he’s still partying, he’s a fool for snorting anything.

Anything can be laced nowadays. You’re taking a HUGE risk by ingesting anything in your body as far as illegal drugs are concerned.

Also?

He loves fucking waitresses & the help. I’ve heard of this personally from someone who claims to know.

by Anonymousreply 10August 26, 2023 8:45 PM

Love that he says he hasn’t had an extramarital “romantic” relationship.

Yeah. No romance. Just good fucking.

by Anonymousreply 11August 26, 2023 8:49 PM

[quote] He loves fucking waitresses & the help. I’ve heard of this personally from someone who claims to know.

Well he fucked Christine, so I guess that's a true statement.

by Anonymousreply 12August 26, 2023 8:52 PM

Who would cheat on Kevin? He's a hot daddy.

by Anonymousreply 13August 26, 2023 8:57 PM

[quote] the Yellowstone actor, 68, says he "does not know for a fact" whether 49-year-old Christine, who filed for divorce in May, engaged in any "extramarital romantic relationships" before their separation.

This sounds pretty weak, to me. He "does not know for a fact." What are you guys getting excited about?

It sounds like they're both going on a discovery fishing expedition. Both are speculating.

Costner definitely has the money to have her followed by a private investigator. So ... he has nothing on her.

by Anonymousreply 14August 26, 2023 9:03 PM

Meh. He could have done worse, R12.

She stuck by him for 20 plus years and raised & is still raising his children. So far, nothing indicates she’s a shitty mother.

I’m not sure what happened here, but it’s never a good idea to leave your family or specifically your wife alone for long periods of time. Of course, this doesn’t justify cheating, however, it does explain why sometimes, cheating occurs.

If you want a relationship to work, sometimes you do have to fight for it before it gets to the point where one or both partners bail on the relationship.

Men view this very differently than women. Men could cheat, fly back home to his family, & he can still genuinely love his wife. For women? Once they cheat, 9/10, it’s far too late to salvage the relationship.

Also? There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being a handbag designer, just like there’s nothing wrong with being a waitress, a housekeeper, an actor, director or producer. All are legitimate jobs.

by Anonymousreply 15August 26, 2023 9:04 PM

[quote] It sounds like they're both going on a discovery fishing expedition. Both are speculating.

Um, you realize that she was already spotted on a cozy trip to Hawaii with a new man, don't you?

Who just happened to be both a FRIEND and NEIGHBOR of Kevin's, who lived nearby to them in Carpinteria.

THIS is what Kevin is talking about.

The whore made no secret of it. It's obvious she had been cheating with this man for some time.

Kevin Costner’s divorce from Christine Baumgartner continues on in the courtroom, but the documents are revealing something very curious about Yellowstone. The actor departed the show in the middle of the fifth season, but the series is a point of contention between the former couple’s lawyers.

A brief for the child support hearing, obtained by Us Weekly, noted that Costner was being cagey about the Paramount + show. He apparently refused to answer questions about whether he was offered the opportunity” to continue on for a sixth season “or if he simply chose to quit.” This is important information for Baumgartner’s attorneys because the 68-year-old actor would have likely turned down an astronomical sum to return to the show. He made $1.1 million per episode for the fourth season and $1.25 million for the fifth season, according to the court documents.

While trying to determine Costner’s income, Baumgartner’s lawyers seem to be raising suspicion around his exit from the show. Did he purposely turn down a sixth-season opportunity to lessen his income for the divorce proceedings? Even Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan seemed baffled by the decision. “It truncates the closure of his character, [John Dutton],” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “It doesn’t alter it, but it truncates it.”

Costner has noted that he “will earn substantially less in 2023” because of his Yellowstone departure and that’s why he’s fighting Baumgartner’s $248,000 per month child support request. She is currently receiving $129,755 per month along with attorneys’ fees and forensics costs. With Costner still set to earn “a percentage of profit participation” from Yellowstone even after the series ends, Baumgartner’s lawyers aren’t going to let one dollar slide by.

Haha.

I hope Yellowstone fans come after her now, for being the reason Kevin didn't return to the show.

by Anonymousreply 23August 30, 2023 8:14 PM

He's such a piece of shit and a bad actor.

by Anonymousreply 24August 30, 2023 8:26 PM

[Quote]if the prenup is held valid, Christine would have to repay Kevin the $1.5 million he gave her to find a new place to live. In addition, she'd have to pay his attorney's fees that were incurred in defending the prenup.

^that's from TMZ upthread. I hope her lawyers are giving good advice because...eek! I wouldn't have the stomach for this. All bow down if she gets the prenup thrown out. Do people really sign these prenups thinking "oh, I'll just challenge this if we divorce."? It seems to me that she signed the first draft of the prenup because it is such a shit deal for her. I bet even his lawyer was scratching his head back then.

by Anonymousreply 25August 30, 2023 8:42 PM

While Costner is an unsympathetic figure, I don’t understand how all these prenups seem to routinely get thrown out.

If you were mentally competent and there’s no proof you signed it under duress, shouldn’t the agreement govern the breakup?

by Anonymousreply 26August 30, 2023 8:45 PM

what the fuck is the point of an "ironclad" pre-nup if it can be contested?

And while I'm sure it's laid out somewhere, what the hell are 3 teenage "children" doing that 130K a month won't cover?

by Anonymousreply 27August 30, 2023 8:45 PM

Right, R27? Christ on a cracker. I doubt we netted $127,000 sum total during the entirety of my 18 years under my mother's roof. Let alone per year. Let alone PER FUCKING MONTH

by Anonymousreply 28August 30, 2023 8:54 PM

Can you imagine the gall of claiming you can’t care for your kids on $130k per month? I wouldn’t be able to spend it for trying.

by Anonymousreply 29August 30, 2023 8:59 PM

If you want that sweet sweet fuck-you money, then stay married and just live more independently of your husband.

HE IS THE ONE ACTIVELY MAKING THAT MONEY. You don't get to pretend now that you co-earned all of that money. He was already A-list when they married. He worked hard, prior to ever knowing her, to get to that level of fame and fortune that he could pull $1 million per episode of anything and multi multi millions per movie, plus all the producing and all of it. He won OSCARS prior to ever knowing Christine Baumgartner existed. That is HIS legacy.

She married well, yes she did. But raising the guys children while he works was not the secret sauce that netted him $1+ million per episode on Yellowstone.

Why does raising the kids suddenly financially = making an indelible, lucrative mark on HOLLYWOOD over a period of several decades?

And I'm not even a DL ubercunt. I respect mothers. I respect children. I just don't think it's six of one half-dozen of the other.

The kids are not going to get a full-scale demotion of their lifestyle. Their dad is always going to be their dad.

She needs to get over herself.

by Anonymousreply 30August 30, 2023 9:02 PM

Any extra marital relations have absolutely nothing to do child support or whether his net worth was accurate. He literally threw that in there to slander her. "I don't know for a fact that he likes to stalk underage children for nefarious purposes, I have no proof but I can say I have not engaged in that behavior" "I don't know for a fact that he is a serial killer traveling the country when not working to find victims, I have no proof but I can say I have no engaged in that behavior". His lawyers should be embarrassed writing that crap. It is very transparent (except of course to a few on this thread- but to everyone else in the world).

by Anonymousreply 31August 30, 2023 9:08 PM

Not to mention that SHE is the one who filed for divorce. What was she expecting? I mean if it were him who filed, sure.. throw her an extra 10M above what was allowable in the pre-nup just to be rid of her but this is HER doing.

by Anonymousreply 32August 30, 2023 9:33 PM

[quote] Do people really sign these prenups thinking "oh, I'll just challenge this if we divorce."?

I think she just wanted to get her foot in the door.

But he also should have written a more reasonable pre-nup.

His first wife got $80 million in the divorce settlement and he obviously felt BURNED by that. And that was in 1994. So, adjust for inflation.

by Anonymousreply 33August 30, 2023 9:43 PM

Damn that sounds like perhaps one of Hollywoods biggest-ever payouts. 1994!

by Anonymousreply 34August 30, 2023 10:04 PM

At least the first wife was actually with him from the beginning, and could be truly said to have supported him on his rise to the top. Unlike Baumgartner.

by Anonymousreply 35August 30, 2023 10:06 PM

It's only slander if it's not true.

In this case, she IS a cheating whore, and it IS true.

So it's not slander.

[quote] Kevin Costner’s Ex Wants Their Kids to Maintain ‘Comparable’ Lifestyle — Including Flying Private

Christine Baumgartner is asking estranged husband Kevin Costner for nearly $200,000 a month in child support, but she says that amount is necessary for their kids to maintain the same standard of living when they’re with her.

“The Court is required to set child support at a level that, when the children are with Christine, they live a lifestyle relatively comparable to the one they enjoy when they are with their father,” Baumgartner’s legal team wrote in a brief filed ahead of the duo’s Thursday, August 31, hearing. “The Court order must allow the children to be supported at a level commensurate with Kevin’s considerable wealth, even if that level of support also improves the standard of living of Christine.”

Baumgartner’s lawyers went on to argue that the duo’s three children — Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13 — should live in a “comparable house” to their father’s when they are spending time with their mother. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Costner’s “compound” has a “fair market value of $65 million to $95 million and a monthly rental value of at least $150,000.”

Baumgartner, 49, also asserted that the kids should be able to enjoy the same kinds of vacations with their mom that they have thus far experienced with their dad.

“Because the children fly on private aircraft to go on luxury vacations when they are with their father, the Family Code dictates that Kevin should pay sufficient child support to Christine so that the children can go on comparable vacations when they are with her. This is true even if the child support payments also improve Christine’s lifestyle,” Baumgartner’s lawyers claimed. “In this case, the guideline child support requested by Christine of $175,057 per month will not be sufficient to replicate Kevin’s lifestyle, but it will be sufficient to allow her to provide a lifestyle for the children which is relatively comparable.”

Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner, 68, in May after 18 years of marriage. The twosome have since been locked in a messy back-and-forth over property, expenses, and child support payments. The Wednesday hearing — which is set to continue on Friday, September 1 — will determine the amount of child support Costner will provide.

An interim ruling in July ordered Costner to pay Baumgartner $129,755 per month for their children’s care in addition to $200,000 in attorneys’ fees and $100,000 in forensic costs. Baumgartner had previously requested $248,000 a month in child support, but Costner countered in his response that he could not afford that amount because his 2023 income will diminish following his departure from Yellowstone.

In the brief, however, Baumgartner’s attorneys argued that Costner will still receive income from Yellowstone because he is “entitled to a percentage of profit participation” from the show “irrespective of his 13 participation in Season 6 or beyond.”

“Kevin will argue that Christine doesn’t need to provide the children with many of the things to which they have become accustomed, as they can enjoy those things with Kevin. But Kevin’s argument misses the point,” Baumgartner’s legal team continued. “The children should be able to participate in their activities with each of their parents. Under Kevin’s argument, the children will either have to sacrifice some of their activities when they are with Christine or choose to forfeit their time with their mother in order to do so. Indeed, Kevin’s position is punitive, manipulative and contrary to the children’s best interests and the policy of the law.”

NO. How about you and your kids come down to Planet Earth and have some not-as-rarified, but character and soul-enriching, regular experiences like normal people. Even normal wealthy people can "slum it" on commercial planes. It's not the end of the world.

This is ridiculous.

[quote] Christine cries on the stand at child support hearing, lawyer denies she has a boyfriend

Kevin Costner and Christine Costner attended an evidentiary hearing at a Santa Barbara courthouse on Thursday amid their contentious divorce — and it was an emotional day for the former handbag designer as they are at odds over the amount of child support she's owed.

Christine, 49, broke down in tears on the stand, Yahoo Entertainment has confirmed, while discussing the lavish lifestyle she and Kevin used to share. According to an insider, Christine got emotional when talking about the waterfront Carpinteria, Calif., compound she and Kevin raised their three children: Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. Christine had to vacate the property, which is estimated to be worth about $100 million, per the terms of their 2004 prenup. As Christine tries to persuade the judge to award her more money, her attorney argued that luxury is in the children's "DNA at this point."

Kevin, 68, was in attendance at the hearing — "a sign of respect," says celebrity divorce attorney Chris Melcher — and an eyewitness tells Yahoo Entertainment that the Oscar winner remained for the duration and was "definitely attentive."

In court documents filed in advance of the hearing, his lawyers accused Christine of a "relentless 'jihad'" attack.

Meanwhile, during Thursday's hours-long proceedings, Christine denied having a boyfriend, something Kevin had insinuated in legal documents. Her lawyer said financier Josh Connor — whom Christine and the kids were photographed vacationing with in Hawaii over the summer — is only a friend. (Connor is also reportedly Kevin's friend.) In court, Christine's attorney admitted Connor loaned her $20,000, but said that should have no bearing on child support.

Christine's attorneys argue that she needs $161,592 in monthly child support to maintain the lifestyle they're accustomed to. Although she was initially seeking close to $175,000, in court on Thursday, Christine's lawyers dropped that number by about $14,000. However, the sum is more than the $129,755 she was awarded in July for temporary child support. In documents obtained by Yahoo Entertainment, Christine's lawyers said she just wants to give their kids "the benefit of the lifestyle that has been made possible by Kevin's substantial earnings and wealth." The Yellowstone star is estimated to be worth $400 million.

"I think Christine's legal strategy is terrible," says Melcher, noting she's made "bad moves that make her look greedy when it was unnecessary for her to go to this extreme."

Christine's attorneys landed at the $161,592 figure given Kevin's income over the past two years. They estimate he has made more than $19 million annually from Yellowstone, or more than $1.6 million per month. Christine claims in documents she is, and has been, the children's "primary caretaker" for the past 16 years and has not worked outside the home since Cayden was born.

Melcher explains that Christine got to the "eye-watering" figure given a formulaic guideline for child support.

"That works for almost everyone, but we have no cap on the formula. You can put in a billion dollars a month in income and it will produce a huge amount of child support," he shares. "So when you get to these levels we're seeing here, the formula no longer works."

Kevin's legal team is trying to convince the judge to award Christine a much lower number. (He initially proposed roughly $60,000 a month.) Melcher notes the actor is going with "a budget approach" as he has laid out numbers for what the kids reasonably need for things like housing, travel, food and clothing.

"The court is clearly going to use that approach," says Melcher.

Kevin has argued his income is taking a hit this year as he's has decided to leave Yellowstone, opting to fund and star in his own western passion project instead (Horizon). At a deposition, the actor purportedly "refused to answer questions" about whether he was given the chance to star in the sixth season of Yellowstone or chose to walk away, according to Christine's documents. Regardless, Christine claims he will still make a significant amount of money from the hit series "irrespective of his participation."

"Kevin is obviously very wealthy and they had a fantastic lifestyle so child support will be high," Melcher says. "My estimation is that the court order will range $75,000 a month."

If the judge significantly lowers the number, Christine may be on the hook for the difference as it's retroactive from July 1.

"She'd have to refund that potentially $50,000 a month," Melcher says. "I think she overplayed her hand. She's really asking for identical lifestyles when the law doesn't require that."

In a brief filed ahead of Thursday's hearing, Christine laid out several reasons she needs more money — and it can really only be classified as #RichPeopleProblems.

After vacating the beachfront compound, Christine's agreed to a month-to-month rental in ritzy Montecito — home to Gwyneth Paltrow, Oprah and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry — which costs $40,000 per month.

"Unlike Kevin's Beach Club Compound, [the rental] is on the mountain side of the freeway. It does not have beachfront access, nor is it walking distance to the beach, and has no scenic view," her lawyers stated in a court filing, arguing the kids should live in a "comparable house when they are with Christine."

Christine also wants the kids to travel well while they're in her care, meaning she should be able to afford a private plane.

"Likewise, because the children fly on private aircraft to go on luxury vacations when they are with their father, [the California family code] dictates that Kevin should pay sufficient child support to Christine so that the children can go on comparable vacations when they are with her. This is true even if the child support payments also improve Christine's lifestyle," the court documents state.

The Costners are back in court on Friday as the evidentiary hearing continues. Melcher believes the judge will likely award a figure "on the spot" at its conclusion.

Christine wants Kevin to pay her legal fees, which now exceed $800,000. That's why Melcher thinks the actor tried to bring up money she borrowed from Connor.

"I think Kevin's trying to make her access to other funds relevant. I don't think it makes a bit of difference to this judge if she has a boyfriend or not, who cheated, or if someone lent her $20,000," Melcher says. "It seems like it was just done to retaliate against Christine for some of the nasty things she had to say about Kevin early on in the paperwork."

The rhetoric from both sides has been heated. In a filing ahead of Thursday's hearing, Kevin's attorneys reportedly stated in documents: "Christine's relentless 'jihad' against Kevin's character adds a level of animosity to this proceeding that is wholly unnecessary, and meant to distract from the intellectual exercise at hand."

Kevin and Christine wed in 2004 with a prenup in place; however, she's contesting its validity. A trial has been set for November.

by Anonymousreply 46September 1, 2023 4:04 AM

Now we know why Christine wants all that money. It certainly wasn't Kevin Costner throwing all these lavish (and outlandish, over-the-top) parties.

She really is a spendthrift, isn't she?

[quote] Christine Baumgartner’s Outlandish Christmases Included Farm Animal Rides for Guests

Christine Baumgartner revealed some new details about her and Kevin Costner’s former lavish lifestyle together.

The estranged exes appeared in a California court for the first of their two-day child support hearing on Thursday, August 31, during which Baumgartner, 49, used to throw elaborate Christmas parties at a 10-acre plot near their shared home.

According to the Daily Mail, the duo would have 40 tons of snow brought in for holiday events and would feature a Nativity scene with animals available for children to ride. Trails for toboggan runs were also built in the property’s forest of fir trees.

Baumgartner told the court the plot had also been used for camping birthday parties for the pair’s son Cayden, 15. In addition to 40 tents set up for Cayden and his friends, taco trucks were hired to cater the event, the outlet reports. (Baumgartner and Costner, 68, also share son Logan, 14, and daughter Grace, 12.)

Baumgartner — who introduced herself in court using the last name “Costner” — filed for divorce from the Yellowstone actor after nearly 19 years of marriage on May 1. Throughout the former couple’s messy divorce, she requested Costner to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support per month to maintain their kids’ luxurious lifestyle.

On Thursday, she revealed their kids take frequent fishing trips, go scuba diving and surfing and play volleyball. Cayden, meanwhile, owns a boat and the family’s home has a room full of surfboards, wetsuits, paddle boards and more aquatic equipment.

The family’s Aspen ranch also features illuminated sledding trails with speakers in the trees, fishing lakes and canoes. The Colorado property is currently being rented for $50,000 per day.

Following Baumgartner’s divorce filing, Costner claimed that he could not afford the $248,000 per month she requested in child support due to his exit from the hit show Yellowstone. On July 11, a judge temporarily ruled that the actor would pay his ex $129,755 per month in child support, as well as $200,000 in attorney’s fees and $100,000 in forensic costs.

Ahead of Thursday’s hearing, Baumgartner’s legal team stated in a legal brief that she would need $200,000 to “provide a lifestyle for the children which is relatively comparable [to when they are with Costner].”

The brief continued: “The Court order must allow the children to be supported at a level commensurate with Kevin’s considerable wealth, even if that level of support also improves the standard of living of Christine.”

It went on to note that the pair’s children often “fly on private aircraft to go on luxury vacations when they are with their father,” thus Costner “should pay sufficient child support to Christine so that the children can go on comparable vacations when they are with her.”

I'm just now noticing Kevin's rug (hairpiece).

This is going to be a nasty divorce. It's reminding me of the thread where Kirstie Alley and Parker Stevenson's divorce was discussed. Lots of lavish parties and vacation properties.

They’re raising entitled, useless brats.

Best thing for their character development would be for Christine to move with them into a two bedroom walk up with wonky AC down the hall from someone who fires fish twice weekly.

And jobs as soon as they are old enough. Fast food, manual labor, whatever.

I highly doubt that Kevin is the one indulging these brats. It's all Christine.

Kevin looks like he couldn't give two fucks about all of the lavish parties and expensive toys.

Plus, Kevin is too busy working and earning money, rather than being able to enjoy it.

I agree that the gold-digging whore should have just stayed married to him, so she could still have access to all the money and perks.

Which means one of two things: 1) She was cheating on him and wanted to be with the other guy full time, or 2) She wanted the divorce so she could have and spend money of her own, after receiving a settlement.

Either way, she's a dumb fuck.

Kevin's lawyers are going to destroy her.

Cayden and Logan?

Such white trash names.

Ain't gonna happen femmeboi!

She should definitely hire a forensic accountant, private detective. Find the cocktail waitress mentioned upthread, get her to verify to the blow sessions with Kevin. Find the other chicks he's banging.

When lots of money is involved, investigate.

"After vacating the beachfront compound, Christine's agreed to a month-to-month rental in ritzy Montecito — home to Gwyneth Paltrow, Oprah and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry — which costs $40,000 per month."

Fuck this delusional bitch.

Kevin Costner is taking the stand in a hearing over child support amid his divorce from wife Christine.

The Yellowstone actor, 68, testified Friday in court in Santa Barbara, California, during the second day of a hearing that was set to address Christine's request for $175,057 per month in child support — a $46,000-plus increase from the $129,000 she's currently receiving from Costner.

On the stand, Costner was asked whether his Santa Barbara compound and Christine's new $40,000 rental home are "fair." Costner said that he believes the two properties "are comparable" but "I don’t believe they are equal."

“I think I know what fair means," he added.

During Costner's testimony, Christine, 49, did not make eye contact with the actor, looking down or at her lawyer and not reacting when he called her his wife. (She filed for divorce in May.)

After viewing numbers on a monthly expense report, the Oscar winner asked, "Is this after the date she left me?", referring to Christine.

The Field of Dreams star was also asked how the children generally use their Santa Barbara compound, saying sons Cayden, 16, and Hayes, 14, plus daughter Grace, 13 "predominantly play in the driveway that Christine made beautiful for them."

Asked whether he'd himself live in the $40,000-a-month property Christine is currently renting, the actor said, "No, I would not, but that’s not because it’s not comparable,” adding of his current home, “I raised three children in that house. It’s a beach house. Their hands are in the stone."

“I’d like some features of that home, to be quite honest," he noted of his ex's rental.

Costner's turn to testify comes one day after Christine did so. On Thursday, Christine's attorney John Rydell said that the lifestyle Christine and Costner’s three children have grown accustomed to is “in their DNA at this point.”

On the stand, Christine explained how a decrease in financial status would affect their kids. She said in part their children are “very connected to the ocean — it’s their home,” and noted the surf garage is 50 steps from “toes in the water."

Christine is currently receiving $129,000 in monthly child support for the couple’s children, after filing for divorce. The couple was married for 18 years.

In an opening statement Thursday, Rydell said they were reducing the child support request amount to $161,592 per month, per a forensic accountant's latest assessment. The new amount remains higher than Costner's proposal of $60,000 per month, put forth by his lawyers during the hearing.

The mother of three's legal filing obtained by PEOPLE on Aug. 26 stated that “forensics has determined that [Kevin's] average cash flow available for support for the two-year period of 2021 and 2022 was $19,248,467 per year ($1,604,039 per month)."

"Based on this cash flow, and a 50/50 parenting time share, the guideline child support, which is presumptively correct under California law, is $175,057 per month," those documents continued.

The court document obtained by PEOPLE ahead of the hearing further stated, “Christine brings this request in order to uphold these Family Law principles and to assure that the parties’ three minor children will continue to have the benefit of the lifestyle that has been made possible by Kevin’s substantial earnings and wealth."

Additionally, per those legal documents, Costner's "various accounts and entities had a total of $17,293,117 in cash equivalents as of June 30, 2023, giving him ample funds to pay his support and also to pay the attorneys’ fees and costs for both parties."

According to those court documents, “$175,057 per month will not be sufficient to replicate Kevin’s lifestyle, but it will be sufficient to allow her to provide a lifestyle for the children which is relatively comparable.”

On what basis is the prenup being challenged?

Apparently, if you include child custody arrangements or infidelity clauses, it can cause a prenup to be set aside.

Interesting.

by Anonymousreply 61September 1, 2023 10:56 PM

[quote] Kevin Costner Ordered to Pay Estranged Wife Christine $63K per Month in Child Support After She Asked for $162K

Kevin Costner got what he asked for.

On Friday, the Yellowstone actor, 68, was ordered to pay his estranged wife Christine $63,209 per month in child support, granting Kevin his proposed amount after a two-day court hearing in Santa Barbara.

In July, Kevin had been tentatively ordered to make monthly payments of $129,755 to the mother of his three kids — Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. Earlier this week, Christine, 49, filed a request to increase that amount to $175,057 — a $46,000-plus increase. She reduced that figure to $161,592 during a court hearing on Thursday, following a forensic accountant’s latest assessment.

“My biggest concern is that the court orders me to pay child support that is above the needs of my children and for the needs of Christine,” Kevin said in court on Friday when he took the stand.

On Thursday, Christine's attorney John Rydell said that the lifestyle Christine and Kevin's three children have grown accustomed to is “in their DNA at this point.”

On the stand, Christine explained how a decrease in financial status would affect their kids. She said in part their children are “very connected to the ocean — it’s their home,” and noted the surf garage is 50 steps from “toes in the water."

“It’s so much more than this — it’s an experience," Christine told the court as she looked at evidentiary photos. "We’ve created quite a community," she added, repeatedly referring to the Santa Barbara compound she vacated as “ours." The home, as stated in court, includes a volleyball court, a garden, an infinity pool and two guest houses.

In July, a source told PEOPLE that Christine moved out of the family’s house on the $145 million Santa Barbara compound that she shared with Kevin, as per the terms of their prenup. She initially stayed at a smaller house on the property, then moved to a nearby rental home for $40,000 per month, as confirmed in court Thursday.

"Christine is trying to keep everything as normal as possible,” the source told PEOPLE in July.

Christine filed for divorce from the Oscar winner in May. The couple was married for 18 years.

At the time of their split, a rep for the actor said in a statement, "It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action."

I mean.. how hard could have it been to just stay married to him? Is he ever even home? Plus he's got a big ol swinging dick that I'm sure he'd be happy to throw at her a couple of times a year.

Now she's practically been banished to a duplex in Oxnard where her children will ride the school bus to public school.

by Anonymousreply 78September 2, 2023 7:27 AM

She must’ve not listened to whoever did her pre court prep because she was a disaster on the witness stand.

The “taste for luxury” and the comments about having to live near a beachfront were cringe worthy. She did confirm that her and Kevin have ruined these kids by spoiling them to death.

by Anonymousreply 79September 2, 2023 8:20 AM

Wow, the celebrity attorney Chris Melcher ,quoted at R42/R43 was really spot on.

[quote] "I think Christine's legal strategy is terrible," says Melcher, noting she's made "bad moves that make her look greedy when it was unnecessary for her to go to this extreme."

[quote] Melcher explains that Christine got to the "eye-watering" figure given a formulaic guideline for child support. "That works for almost everyone, but we have no cap on the formula. You can put in a billion dollars a month in income and it will produce a huge amount of child support," he shares. "So when you get to these levels we're seeing here, the formula no longer works."

[quote] Kevin's legal team is trying to convince the judge to award Christine a much lower number. (He initially proposed roughly $60,000 a month.) Melcher notes the actor is going with "a budget approach" as he has laid out numbers for what the kids reasonably need for things like housing, travel, food and clothing.

[quote] "The court is clearly going to use that approach," says Melcher.

[quote] "Kevin is obviously very wealthy and they had a fantastic lifestyle so child support will be high," Melcher says. "My estimation is that the court order will range $75,000 a month."

[quote] If the judge significantly lowers the number, Christine may be on the hook for the difference as it's retroactive from July 1. "She'd have to refund that potentially $50,000 a month," Melcher says. "I think she overplayed her hand. She's really asking for identical lifestyles when the law doesn't require that."

Haha, now she even has to reimburse Kevin for the over payment for the past two months.

The bitch could end up bankrupt!!

by Anonymousreply 83September 2, 2023 12:04 PM

Luxury is "in their DNA..." "50 ft from toes in the water..."

What was he and her lawyer thinking? Such obvious crap. SHE wants all of this.

She was crazy to divorce Kevin. Her life is never going to be as good as it was with him. That's OVAH.

by Anonymousreply 84September 2, 2023 2:25 PM

Why DID she divorce him? She’s almost 50. Old enough to know how all this works. If your rich husband is annoying, just set things up so you don’t have to be around him.

I suppose she thinks she “fell in love” with someone else. It’s the only possible explanation.

by Anonymousreply 85September 2, 2023 2:48 PM

800k per year for three years. As the kids go off to school (hopefully), that number will likely go down.

She’s going to have to get a job.

She’s not terribly sympathetic, but if I were her I’d write a revenge book. Though I assume there’s a non-disparagement clause in the prenup.

by Anonymousreply 86September 2, 2023 2:51 PM

If the Santa Barbara home is such an integral part of the kids’ experience and DNA, they probably will continue to spend as much time there as possible. Chrissy should just go get a nice condo in the city.

She also better invest some of that money wisely because it is reduced by a third in two years, two-thirds in three years, and the last remaining third is paid off in five years. Unless she gets herself another sugar daddy, and face it, at her age it won’t be easy, bitch gonna be broke.

by Anonymousreply 87September 2, 2023 2:57 PM

Wash the shit out of your coloncunt r82.

by Anonymousreply 88September 2, 2023 3:01 PM

He could let her stay there with the kids during the many many months that he's out of town for work. That house is going to lie vacant and dormant for several many months each year, why not?

But I suppose that would be conceding to her whims.

She wanted a divorce? She's gonna get a divorce.

Wow she really is dumb.

by Anonymousreply 89September 2, 2023 3:03 PM

I think she got dickmatized by her new "love." She may already be regretting this.

by Anonymousreply 90September 2, 2023 3:06 PM

The first fight was that she refused to move out of the house after she filed for divorce, despite her signing a prenuptial agreement that she would move out in the event of a divorce.

She lost that fight.

The second fight was to raise the amount of child support payments, by nearly triple the amount that was agreed upon.

She lost that fight.

The next fight will be to challenge the validity of the prenuptial agreement that she signed before they got married.

So how does it look?

by Anonymousreply 91September 2, 2023 3:24 PM

One thing we haven’t discussed are her looks. I find her to be so plain Jane that it’s not even funny. Mouse-brown hair. Brown eyes. A fit but unremarkable body. Her looks are (of course) very very classy, she does a great job of making sure she reeks of money, but beyond that, there is nothing remarkable about her at all! No curves on that bod. Her skin is beautiful if I can toss her a bone.

Which means Kevin must really like his women to be as au naturelle looking as possible. And the irony of that is that in order for her to look merely healthy and polished (but still boring) she had to spend $180k per month!!!

And then hearing how she is wistfully and fondly reminiscing how they built a “community” that included shipping in 40 tons of snow for parties, lighting on toboggan and sled runs *with music*, a living Nativity scene with animals, taco trucks, two guest houses, kids growing up ON the beach in CA, on and on. I know this type. All of her self-worth is driven by social status/prestige. Her entire life as his wife was about competing for the most status. And now that it’s all gone, she can *never* regain that level of prestige again because finding a new partner with that amount of wealth/power is no small task. Though I suppose she will work hard at it, so who knows what sucker will get with her?

Stories like this make me feel totally ok that I’m not wealthy. Kids, it cannot be said enough…..wealth, power, prestige, these things will not fill the hole in your soul. Don’t get me wrong, sure, I would love the wealth so I could really benefit all the people I care about and they wouldn’t have to be so stressed out, YES, I would love that. But I also recognize that even once I got that money, I will still be me, with the same issues I have right now. This woman never worked on herself, and neither did Kevin. That’s not a judgement, just an observation. Wealth will not fill the hole in your soul Christine. And Kevin. But hey, you two do you.

by Anonymousreply 92September 2, 2023 3:37 PM

She'd be perfect for it.

Yeah she's not a beauty, merely pretty. But she's several years younger than him and she aged really well and that counts for a lot. He's also lost most of his looks, his hair was his trademark and he had to stitch it back on his head.

Gorgeous young women won't settle for an old man, even a rich former hunk like Costner.

by Anonymousreply 94September 2, 2023 3:43 PM

She was a bottle blonde for many years and perhaps Kevin is one of those guys that will pick the trashy blonde over the beautiful brunette.

Joan Rivers infamously roasted Costner on the red carpet for giving Christine what she thought was a small engagement ring.

What you don't know about thirsty female gold diggers, is EVERYTHING.

Don't think for one second, that there aren't at least 100 or more hungry young women in Hollywood who want to become the next Mrs. Costner.

The guy is worth in the hundreds of millions (possibly), and that counts for EVERYTHING to a young woman looking to marry a rich man.

And his celebrity is just an added bonus.

Christine Baumgartner is an absolute fool, for thinking that someone like herself could actually do better than Kevin Costner.

by Anonymousreply 96September 2, 2023 3:48 PM

Several threads back I asked. “Why is it the plain ones who are so entitled?” It’s the oddest phenomenon. It’s always these plain Jane, unaccomplished women— usually from some lower-middle-class background — who become these entitled maniacs.

We have one in our neighborhood. Little education, never worked, fairly fit but still 30 pounds overweight. She has a baby every 4 years when her husband starts talking about her going back to work. She glommed into him in high school. Don’t know if he has family money, but he seems to have stumbled into a good living (albeit fairly blue-collar.) She swans around like she’s Princess Kate.

by Anonymousreply 97September 2, 2023 3:50 PM

R96 yeah but what do those young women look like? I've never seen an old rich man with a hot woman. Young, sure. But they have to settle for average if they want youth.

Hot gorgeous young women get hot rich younger men.

That's the taste of Kevin and a lot of men like him.

He clearly didn't want this divorce.

[quote] Kevin Costner Breaks Silence on Christine Baumgartner Divorce, Claims He Still ‘Has Love’ For His Estranged Wife

Kevin Costner has broken his silence about his ongoing divorce from estranged wife Christine Baumgartner.

Costner, 68, and Baumgartner, 49, appeared in court on Friday, September 1, for a hearing as part of their ongoing legal battle over their separation. During the proceedings, Costner joked about his annual earnings after Baumgarnter’s attorneys accused him of making more than he previously claimed. “Oh good, we’ll have to have a treasure hunt to find it,” Costner quipped in response, according to Access Hollywood.

Following the hearing, Costner opened up to the outlet about his witty courtroom remark — and his ongoing messy split from Baumgartner.

“Were you laughing? I wasn’t,” he said. “This is a horrible place to be, but this is where we’re at.”

The Yellowstone star also hinted at the complicated emotions regarding the pair’s split, saying, “It feels so bad and we’re talking about somebody I love on the other side, I just can’t.”

When asked if he still “has love” for his estranged wife, Costner replied, “Of course,” adding that he thinks “everybody” involved wants the contentious legal battle to resolve quickly.

Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner in May after nearly 19 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. The duo tied the knot in 2004 and share sons Cayden, 15, Logan, 14, and daughter Grace, 12.

IMO, it's an act (Kevin is acting). He is over her, emotionally. He's now going for her throat, in court, but wants to appear like a blind-sided, jilted husband.

Do I feel sorry for her? No.

I do think Kevin feels he got burned, financially, on his first marriage and vowed that it would never happen, again.

by Anonymousreply 103September 2, 2023 5:35 PM

Christine’s “job” was to look good, keep the children on the right path, make sure the house was run properly, make the right social connections. But most importantly she was supposed to make her husband look good and not embarrass him.

She got too big fr her britches and now look where that got her.

by Anonymousreply 112September 2, 2023 8:22 PM

“Make sure the house runs a properly” = hire an agency to hire a house manager. Complain to the house mgr whenever you find lint or a maid makes eye contact. Call the agency to replace the house mgr. rinse and repeat.

Tough stuff!

by Anonymousreply 113September 2, 2023 8:33 PM

Of course, r113. She has a large household staff and a house manager, drivers and nannies for the kids, etc. Her responsibility was to keep any of that from ever being an issue for Kevin Costner.

Kevin Costner was not to blame for the Yellowstone Season 5 fiasco, and he didn't walk away from the show just to reduce his income to screw over Christine.

[quote] Kevin Costner speaks out on 'Yellowstone' departure during child support hearing

Months after Kevin Costner revealed he cut ties with "Yellowstone," the actor shared more information surrounding his departure.

In a child support hearing on Friday — part of his ongoing divorce from estranged wife Christine Baumgartner — Costner said that a "long, hard-fought negotiation" about breaking season five into two parts was behind his exit, People reported.

While on the stand, Costner, 68, said filming for the series twice a year didn't work with another project he's filming, a movie series called "Horizon: An American Saga." Costner said he "changed" his schedule to work on the second half of "Yellowstone" season five, per People.

"That's a big deal in this world," he added, the outlet reported.

According to People, Costner said at the time there were "no scripts written" for the second half of the season and that "they still hadn't finished" the first half.

Costner said he made one final effort to return to the show, telling his representatives, "have them pay me whatever number, we came up with a number, and they (Yellowstone) walked away." According to People, he said he believed that number was $12 million.

People reported that when asked whether he'd receive a payout for the second half of season five, Costner said, "I will probably go to court over it."

Representatives for Paramount and Costner did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider, made outside regular working hours.

According to June court documents viewed by Insider, Costner said he didn't expect to receive any financial compensation from "Yellowstone" aside from "back-end contractual participation rights."

"I will earn substantially less in 2023 than I did in 2022. This is because I am no longer under contract for 'Yellowstone,' the principal source of my income last year," Costner said, per the documents.

In 2022, Costner earned a reported $1.3 million for each episode. In the June documents, however, the actor said the fixed amount "pay-or-play" and per-episode compensation he received for the series ended, adding, "so far in 2023 I have yet to receive any participation compensation from 'Yellowstone.'"

Before the actor's departure, he was expected to return for the second half of season five. At the midseason finale in January, fans saw Costner's character, John Dutton, facing impeachment from his role as Montana's governor.

There's no air date for the second half of "Yellowstone" season five.

I'd be shocked if Angelina Jolie marries again. She'll probably shack up with some guy or adopt a couple of more kids now that her current kids are getting older. But I don't see her getting married again after the messy divorce with Brad Pitt.

by Anonymousreply 118September 2, 2023 9:39 PM

Angelina doesn’t convey any sexuality anymore. I wonder if she’s closed the shop down.

Some people do that… whether because their appetite has decreased, they’ve never really enjoyed it or it hadn’t been healthy for them and has led to bad decisions.

by Anonymousreply 119September 2, 2023 10:38 PM

Angelina went into instant menopause after her hysterectomy, which was months into their marriage. I think this is what caused the entire house of cards to crumble to the ground.

Both her hormones, and libido shutting down, and also Brad's lack of empathy for what she went through (hysterectomy, double mastectomy). It's rather poignant and I cannot in good conscience blame Jolie solely for the mess.

Men really don't understand women's hormones and the dramatic, drastic effect a sudden drop in estrogen has on a woman.

I understand because I lived it with my mother. It was heinous. It was not pretty. And it's not about character or personality. It's science.

by Anonymousreply 120September 2, 2023 11:13 PM

I feel bad for this guy. He still loves her. He did not want this divorce.

I wonder what pushed her to this??

She's making the worst decision of her life.

by Anonymousreply 121September 2, 2023 11:31 PM

You bitches are too focused on her being a gold-digger. Even if she is, well, guess what, Costner was willing gold.

He was stupid to marry her and then give in to her demand for children. He already had four adult children.

I hope the judge orders him to, in addition to the child support, give her a gigantic lump sum settlement.

And don't give me that nonsense that all she did was raise kids and run a house. That's a job, one he benefited from, too, so he could be off working and fucking around. She was probably screwing around, too.

Monogamy isn't for everybody, and there ain't a damn thing wrong with that.

I wouldn't be too convinced, like some of you are, that she won't find another wealthy man to marry her. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if some gazillionaire wanted the reflected glory, such as it is, of having the same woman Costner had and is willing to pay for it.

by Anonymousreply 122September 3, 2023 2:57 AM

R122 the gold digging cunt is almost 50. Why would any guy with fuck you money or even a decent amount want to associate with her, when there are plenty chicks half her age with a clean slate willing to settle down and start popping out kids. She did herself no favors by divorcing him and now she has the reputation she deserves.

by Anonymousreply 123September 3, 2023 4:45 AM

I mean, you say this but then look at Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch. She was 60 with four kids under her belt when he married her.

[quote] Christine Baumgartner Moved to an Ultra-Luxurious Montecito Home After Losing Kevin Costner Child Support Battle

Kevin Costner and estranged wife Christine Baumgartner have been battling it out over every last detail in their tumultuous divorce. He tried to enforce their strict prenuptial agreement, but Baumgartner doesn’t necessarily agree with the terms she signed back in 2004. She wants to maintain the luxurious lifestyle she is accustomed to.

After being ordered by the judge to vacate Costner’s $145 million compound in Carpinteria, California, Baumgartner has found a stunning $40,000 a month rental property in Montecito. While it is much smaller than her ex-husband’s estate, it’s an elite property to be proud of. The beautiful grounds feature a pool with a guesthouse, lush gardens, and a hiking trail nearby. The open-concept four-bedroom home is filled with natural light and offers a warm and cozy vibe to settle down.

However, one of the major sticking points in the couple’s child support battle, which Baumgartner lost, involved the differences in living quality when her kids are with her versus Costner. Baumgartner was concerned that her sons Cayden, 16, and Hayes, 14, would have to share a bathroom and Grace’s bathroom would be the common area one for “the house,” according to the court hearing. She wanted her kids to have a “comparable lifestyle” when they were with both of their parents. However, it’s not that simple.

Family law expert Brett Ward of the Matrimonial and Family Law Practice Group at Blank Rome told the Daily Mail, “Technically, ‘comparable lifestyle’ means what the judge in any case says it means. But the general concept was put in place to ensure that the children do not experience vastly different lifestyles when with each parent – the big home versus the one-bedroom apartment,” he said.

“The concept was not created to ensure total parity between the living conditions. It is in place to limit the disparity between them.” All three of the teens will be living a privileged life no matter which parent they reside with, even though it may be more luxurious with their dad. In the end, her $63,000 per month child support payments “should allow her to provide the children with an extraordinary life.”

[quote] Kevin Costner and Ex Talk Next Steps amid Divorce: She'll 'Enter the Workforce'

Kevin Costner and his estranged wife Christine spoke in court about their plans moving forward as their divorce proceedings carry on.

The exes showed up to court in Santa Barbara on Thursday and Friday for a child support hearing, which ultimately went in Kevin's favor as a judge ordered him to pay $63,209 per month instead of the $161,592 Christine sought.

Both Kevin and Christine, who wed in 2004, got emotional while testifying during the proceedings, and shared what they saw as their next steps after the breakup.

Christine — who now lives in a rental that costs $40,000 per month after being court-ordered to move out of their family compound — testified that she is considering going back to school for a college degree.

"I will look into the steps I need to take and any schooling I need to do, and I will enter the workforce," Christine, 49, said on the stand about how she'll support herself in the future.

When Kevin, 68, took the stand, he admitted "my world's been a little shook up" as a result of the split. Addressing how he plans to move forward, the Oscar winner said, "I have to take care of obligations that are already in place, I have a lot of responsibilities I have to take care of."

"I need to figure out how I’m going to spend more time with the children, walk them through this process," he added. "I am going to need to take some time for myself. ... I have a lot to contemplate — what I have to do versus what I want to do."

With his run on Yellowstone over, the star is also working on his multi-movie passion project Horizon: An American Saga. He said in court that Horizon is a "really big risk" for him, having invested so much in it.

Kevin and Christine share three teens: Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. She filed for divorce on May 1, listing their date of separation as April 11. Kevin's rep said in a statement at the time that "circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action."

During his Friday testimony, Kevin recalled his "epic" first date with Christine and how she told him having children was important to her, though he had reservations.

"She knew that my biggest worry was that I felt like I could be married and divorced again but one thing was I couldn’t be married and divorced again with children," he told the courtroom. He later changed his mind: "It was important to her and it became important to me."

Kevin, a decade before marrying Christine with a prenup in place, reportedly paid his ex-wife Cindy Silva some $80 million in his first divorce. He shares three kids with Silva (Annie, Lily and Joe) plus son Liam with ex Bridget Rooney.

[quote] Kevin Costner Mentions Christine Baumgartner’s ‘Boyfriend’ in Divorce Testimony

Kevin Costner has been unhappy that his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, is seeking what he believes is an exorbitant amount of child support — and is citing her recent gift from her “boyfriend” as a reason why it is too much.

“Christine’s attack [on me] is a smoke screen to deflect attention from her lack of candor regarding her own financial situation,” court documents filed on August 30, and obtained by Us Weekly, read. “Christine was forced to admit at her deposition that her brother recently gave her $80,000 and her boyfriend recently gave her $20,000.”

During her court testimony late last month, Baumgartner, 49, was point-blank asked about her relationship with Costner’s friend Josh Connor after they were spotted together on a trip to Hawaii. Baumgartner said on the stand that she and Connor were purely platonic friends but did admit that he loaned her $20,000. According to Baumgartner, she sent half of the check to her mother and returned the rest to Connor.

In his most recent filing, Costner has accused Baumgartner of failing to disclose her income and expenses to the court. (She has not addressed the claims.)

“Never mind that Christine has, at all relevant times, had $1.5 million at her disposal to use as she pleases, without prejudice to her challenge to the Premarital Agreement,” the docs read. “All that matters to Christine is that the Court view Kevin as a ‘bad guy’ who wants to ‘ratchet up economic pressure’ and that the Court blindly adopt the image she tries to project as an impoverished victim.”

Despite he-said-she-said court filings since May, Costner broke his silence on the proceedings earlier this month. “This is a horrible place to be, but this is where we’re at,” he told Access Hollywood on Friday, September 1, after his testimony. “It feels so bad and we’re talking about somebody I love on the other side, I just can’t.”

by Anonymousreply 143September 6, 2023 9:28 PM

Maybe his new passion project pushed her over the edge? She wants a companion, not a long-distance relationship? That's all I got.

by Anonymousreply 144September 6, 2023 9:30 PM

I don't think he's broken-up about the divorce. More pissed off and angry, I think. However, he is the bigger star and has access to the media and he is portraying himself as he wants to be portrayed: faithful husband who never wanted a divorce. I think if he had another woman, waiting in the wings, this whole process would be going faster. As it is, he has the time to play his cards as he sees fit.

He should never get married, again.

by Anonymousreply 145September 6, 2023 9:43 PM

I mean....yeah, I don't think that's on the docket, R145. I reckon he's done. He never wanted to get divorced with children in the mix again, and yet here he is. I bet he's fucking furious about it.

by Anonymousreply 146September 6, 2023 9:51 PM

Who knows what happened? He’s clearly a hound. If she got something of her own, who could blame her?

by Anonymousreply 147September 6, 2023 10:43 PM

The thing is the boyfriend probably didn’t want them to divorce at all. He was living the good life and now the money is gone, along with the oceanfront guest house he was living in. Don’t expect him to stick around with a 50 year old single mom with teenagers.

by Anonymousreply 148September 6, 2023 10:48 PM

Yeah, the boyfriend may have been enjoying all the Costner perqs (trip to Hawaii). This was not the way to play the cards, Christine.

by Anonymousreply 149September 6, 2023 11:29 PM

Christine also gave up access that being Mrs. Kevin Costner gave her. Social connections, invitations, preferred status and access to top doctors, designers, caterers, etc. I am sure the boyfriend isn’t on board for this.

My niece divorced her husband, who offered all this, albeit not on a Kevin Costner level, and regrets it every day of her life. She has serious emotional and psychological issues and the divorce was very impulsive. Her kids prefer to be with their dad, she didn’t keep any of their friends from when they were married, and her boyfriend dumped her as soon as money became an issue for her.

by Anonymousreply 150September 6, 2023 11:43 PM

She totally blew it. Biggest mistake of her life.

And yeah, NO, you don't get to keep all the perqs and the lifestyle exactly as it was when you were married. If you wanted everything to be the exact same as when you were married, you shoulda stayed MARRIED.

[quote] Christine Costner ordered to pay Kevin Costner's attorney fees

Christine Costner was dealt a major blow in her divorce case last week as a judge sided with Kevin Costner regarding child support payments — and the hits keep coming.

Santa Barbara County Judge Thomas P. Anderle ordered Christine to pay some of her estranged husband's attorneys fees during a hearing on Wednesday. The former handbag designer must fork over $14,237.50 by Sept. 22, according to Fox News Digital. Neither Christine nor Kevin appeared in court for the hearing.

Celebrity divorce attorney Chris Melcher tells Yahoo Entertainment that while Christine "had a legitimate claim to child support," she "overplayed her hand by asking for ridiculously high amounts." (Last week, she wanted the judge to increase the monthly sum to $161,592 a month given the Yellowstone star's high income.)

"There's no doubt the parties had a lavish lifestyle during marriage and that Kevin has extraordinarily high income, but child support is designed to meet the reasonable needs of the children. Christine made herself look greedy by asking for $161,000 per month in child support, as no one would reasonably believe that it would cost that much money to support the children while in her care," he explains. "It was more easy to conclude that Christine wanted this money for her own benefit as disguised alimony."

Melcher adds, "Christine might have convinced the judge to award more than the $63,000 per month that Kevin proposed had she presented a reasonable alternative. Instead, she asked for the moon and the court was left with only one proposal that made any sense. The outcome should have been obvious to Christine but she has made a series of missteps in court, so it is time for her to rethink her approach."

Attorney Katherine Miller agrees, telling Yahoo Entertainment that Christine's blow in court is "significant." The child support ruling also indicates "what is important to the judge in this matter" and she may want to "to appeal to him from another approach."

Both Miller and Melcher say it's time for Christine to "reevaluate" her legal strategy.

Someone you marry is really entitled to half?

Simple. Never get married. What was he thinking?

by Anonymousreply 160September 8, 2023 12:21 AM

He's justifiably pissed because it sounds like he stated his boundaries at the very beginning:

1. I can do another divorce, but I can't do another divorce with kids in the mix.

2. I travel constantly but this home, this home I built is my sanctuary. If we ever split up, you have to move out. I will not moving, and I am not selling my sanctuary.

3. I lost $80 million fucking dollars last time I got divorced. You will be signing a strict prenup. I intend to never lose half of my life's earnings, ever again.

And Miss Thang agreed on all points. And has now attempted to backpedal on all three of those stated assertions.

I empathize with Costner to some extent; my last relationship was with someone younger than me, in which I stated my needs and boundaries quite clearly at the outset (because I had learned from the past). I asked that, no matter what we do or do not become, whether we have a label or not, or if we become attracted to someone else down the road, I ask that we just have clear, mature and direct communication all along the way so that we both know where the other stands and we know generally what the temperature is at any given time. No guessing games, no mind games, no surprises.

And my person said "ok, yeah let's for sure do that," and then turned around and withheld feelings, had one foot here and another foot over there, did all kinds of shady stuff and was not communicative about any of it. And by the time he finally communicated clearly with me, he had already begun to lay the foundation for a committed partnership with a new person, and I was the last to know. I wasted a lot of my time, energy, attention and money on this stupid relationship that was designed to fail from the get-go because of the other person's lack of loyalty, transparency and scruples.

Anyway, It's surely maddening for Costner to have learned from past mistakes, to make the effort not to repeat those mistakes, to be cautious, clear and transparent with someone, and to STILL end up getting fucked - AGAIN.

by Anonymousreply 161September 8, 2023 12:54 AM

He was probably around 50 years old when he married Christine. That's an age where a man thinks he still has time, blah blah blah. Nobody tied him up and made him get married and have 3 more children. He already knew what happened with his first divorce. It's not unheard-of that people challenge prenuptial agreements.

I think he was stupid to get married, again, and have children, again, after what he had been through with his first wife.

I occasionally think of Elon Musk's ex-wife Justine, with whom he shares five children.

“According to the marital agreement, Justine would receive approximately $20 million dollars after tax, half in the form of the house and half in support payments,” Elon wrote in July 2010. “Prior to the divorce trial that she lost in early May, I had offered her more than double that number as a settlement, which is roughly equivalent to a pre tax income of $80 million. I also said that if there was any worthy cause that she felt deserved attention, I would be happy to give to them in her name. Justine said no to this offer and continued to insist on receiving ownership in Tesla and SpaceX.”

She didn't come away from the divorce with much, all things considered. With five dependents and his extreme wealth you would think she'd have made bank. I guess she pulled a Baumgartner and overplayed her hand asking for stakes in his companies.

Musk's second wife, with whom he had zero children, fared much better. They were married and divorced twice in quick succession. The first payout was $16 million in cash. The second payout was reportedly for a similar amount plus "various assets"

Fun fact: Taylor Sheridan STILL hasn’t finished writing season 5 part 2 of Yellowstone.

by Anonymousreply 167September 11, 2023 7:58 PM

Seeing as how Kevvie went from being worth $100 million when they first got married to being worth $400 million today - doesn't that mean that he made three quarters of his fortune while he was marred to Christine and she was raising their three children?

It also means that the marital assets changed considerably during the time that they were married. Whatever pre-up there was didn't take into account their three children. It didn't take into account their marital assets. None of that existed 20 years ago when they got married.

The pre-nup is totally inadequate. Tear it up, start again, too many things have changed in their lives to pay any attention to that old piece of paper. This is why sensible jurisdictions like Great Britain don't allow pre-nups. Well people can sign them and the judge can look at it but he/she doen't have to follow it, in themselves they're completely worthless. This is especially true in long marriages, those who have subsequently had several children and where the marital assets have grown to be far more substantial than they were decades ago when they first married and signed any agreement.

It's not "too bad for you that everything's completely changed now - ha ha ha!" It's time to sit down and calmly work out something more fair and reasonable.

I wonder if Kevin set aside money each year towards Christine’s retirement. That’s important in situations where one spouse doesn’t work the whole marriage. She needs her own retirement savings in her own name.

What is there to writing an episode of Yellowstone? Give Beth a few clichéd one-liners to say while flashing her cooch, have an incredibly improbable Shocking Event occur, have characters vomit on-camera in reaction to said Shocking Event. End with somebody gazing stoically into the horizon. Done and done.

What is Costner putting on this "Oh I'm just a poor man in love and heartbroken" when he's cheated on Christine [quote] since they were on their honeymoon (proven). [quote]

The marriage was already broken down according to both of them. Costner was going to file first on Christine but she got the jump on him and filed before he did. That's why he's mad, she took control away from the control freak. Whatever. If Costner really wants to drag infidelities into it, Christine can definitely go hard at it there. He's been a dirty dog for decades. He's a relentless cheater - always has been, always will be.

[quote] The pre-nup is totally inadequate. Tear it up, start again, too many things have changed in their lives to pay any attention to that old piece of paper.

[quote] It's not "too bad for you that everything's completely changed now - ha ha ha!" It's time to sit down and calmly work out something more fair and reasonable.

DELUSIONAL, party of one!

You must be a female, because your entitlement is off the charts.

The "inadequate" prenup is something she signed and agreed to. She will receive - and deserves - nothing more than what she signed for.

Rip up the pre-nup? Are you really that stupid???

Kevin had it prepared just so that she couldn't fuck him over, like she's trying to do now.

And as for working something out that's fair and reasonable, well the judge already did that.

The greedy cunt demanded $167,000 per month, and the judge said HELL NO. $60,000 per month is fair and reasonable. HA!!!

[quote] I wonder if Kevin set aside money each year towards Christine’s retirement. That’s important in situations where one spouse doesn’t work the whole marriage. She needs her own retirement savings in her own name.

Are you fucking insane? He doesn't owe her shit, in terms of a "retirement." She's not his fucking employee.

And you're right. She does need her own retirement savings in her own name.

So she'd better hurry up and get a fucking job, and start saving now. The bitch isn't getting any younger.

[quote] Christine can definitely go hard

Um, yeah she already tried that approach.

And the judge told her to go fuck herself. Rofl!!

Team R172.

She had MULTIPLE nannies and a housekeeper. So she had 3 kids? Big fucking deal. They won't starve, but she WILL try to turn them against him, even though SHE filed for divorce.

If there's a #METOO movement against men, then there should be a #GETYOUROWNMONEY movement against women.

Tired of this 1950's "What's mine is mine and what's YOURS is mine" mentality.

And then if men are provided support from women under the same situation, then they're greedy and lazy.

She has plenty of jewels, gifts, and a LOT of alimony to live on. Jesus - the audacity. Go back to your handbag business honey.

How much is she receiving every month in alimony, R173? I hadn't heard anything about alimony payments!

Kevin Costner is contesting his estranged wife Christine's request that he pay a "whopping" $885,000 toward her legal fees.

In a court document obtained by PEOPLE — filed Monday in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Barbara — the 68-year-old Oscar winner's legal team argues the amount requested by Christine, 49, is "unreasonable" and "nothing short of outrageous."

The filing claims Christine has already received "$405,000 in fees, including an award of $300,000 in legal fees ($200,000 in attorney’s fees and $100,000 in forensic accounting fees) on July 12" and "remov(ed) $105,000 for fees from Kevin’s accounts."

According to Kevin's filing, "the Family Code requires the Court to assess whether the fees incurred and prospective fees are reasonably necessary."

"Although Kevin is the wealthier party with a higher cash flow than Christine, Christine is quite capable of contributing to her own attorneys’ fees," the document states.

Earlier in the filing, Kevin's legal team claims that "Christine’s argument that Kevin has incurred more in fees than she was awarded and what she took from his accounts is not, standing alone, a valid basis for an award of additional fees to her."

"The amount Kevin has incurred cannot be the talisman of how much Christine should be awarded in fees," the document reads.

It also alleges the Yellowstone actor "has been forced to spend substantial attorney’s fees as a result of Christine’s uncooperative conduct," noting that Kevin "has had to repeatedly go to court to (successfully) obtain relief."

"Christine’s actions increased the fees incurred by not only Christine, but also Kevin," Kevin's filing states. "To use these fees as the basis for an argument that Christine needs more to level the playing field is nonsensical."

An attorney for Christine did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Last week, Judge Thomas Anderle ruled Christine must cover over $14,000 of Kevin’s legal costs that he said he accrued while trying to obtain answers about her understanding of their prenuptial agreement (PMA).

During the ruling, Judge Anderle emphasized that this is “certainly a case of consequence.”

In a request for order filed in California Superior Court last month, attorneys for Kevin asked the court to compel Christine to respond to their questions, claiming she “refuses to make known all of her contentions regarding the validity of the PMA.”

The documents filed by the actor's attorneys continued, “The objections she has mustered in an effort to not disclose her contentions are frivolous. She says she does not understand words like ‘understood’ or ‘negotiation,’ so she cannot answer this discovery.”

The filing specified the legal fees totaled $14,237.50, further stating, “Discovery is not a game of chicken. Kevin should never have been required to spend money to file a motion.”

[quote] Kevin Costner offered his estranged wife $75,000 in monthly child support. After she rejected it a judge reduced the order to $63,209.

A court briefing filed Monday by Kevin Costner's legal team offered a closer glimpse at the bitter financial battle over child support payments between the actor and his estranged wife as they divorce and revealed that Christine Baumgartner gets less than what Costner offered to pay during part of their negotiations.

When Baumgartner filed for divorce in May, citing irreconcilable differences, her lawyers initially sought monthly child support payments of $248,000 before lowering the request to $217,300 per month, Insider previously reported.

Santa Barbara County judge Thomas Anderle initially ordered Costner to pay $129,755 in child support per month until the evidentiary hearing could be held and a final amount determined.

Before the final award amount was determined earlier this month, according to the Monday filing by Costner's lawyers, the "Yellowstone" star countered his soon-to-be ex-wife's "unrealistic and frankly outrageous" settlement requests, offering her more than she would ultimately win in court.

"In fact, on June 30, 2023, Kevin offered to pay Christine $75,000 per month in support in addition to paying 100% of the children's unreimbursed medical, extracurricular, and school expenses," the brief filed by Costner's team reads. "But Christine would have none of it."

Instead, the pair proceeded to an evidentiary hearing on child support that was decided on September 5, resulting in a judge ordering Costner to pay $63,209 per month to Baumgartner. Unless the order is modified in a later motion, the awarded amount will be Costner's regular monthly child support payment.

"Kevin's June 30 offer, had she accepted it, would have provided Christine with an additional $11,791 in child support per month," according to the briefing, which was centered on a separate request by Baumgartner's team that Costner pays nearly $900,000 in fees to her lawyers. The briefing by Costner's lawyers called her massive financial demands "nothing short of outrageous."

Lawyers representing Costner and Baumgartner in their divorce did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Insider.

This isn't misogyny against Baumgartner. Kelly Clarkson and Adele shouldn't have to bankroll their bum exes lifestyle.

Jeff Bezos blindsided Mackenzie and cheated with Lauren. That's one person it is fair enough to lose half, as he still remained the richest man, and Mackenzie didn't initiate the divorce.

Baumgartner seems guilty of being a bored Beverly Hills Housewife, starting the divorce and selfishly wanting more than deserved, for herself, not really the kids. It's how she comes across.

Kevin Costner has a lot on his plate right now with his contentious divorce from Christine Baumgartner and his four-part film series, Horizon. However, when he is ready to put himself back out there on the dating market, there is one very familiar face who is ready to make her move: Meg Ryan.

Ryan might have to get in line because Costner has suddenly become the hottest bachelor in Hollywood — Kim Cattrall is shooting her shoot, too. But, the rom-com sweetheart “always had a soft spot for Kevin,” according to a National Enquirer source, via RadarOnline. “Whenever they’d run into each other at showbiz events through the years, there was a major spark,” they added. In the years after her divorce from Dennis Quaid and romances with Russell Crowe and John Mellencamp, Ryan still carried their undeniable chemistry with her.

What makes this romance quite possible in the future is the fact that he’s geographically desirable. He lives in Carpinteria, California and she’s just down the street in Santa Barbara. There are endless opportunities for a Hallmark meet-cute at the coffee shop or bookstore. Ryan is “putting the word out among their mutual friends” just so Costner knows that “when he’s ready to date again” he should “give her a call.”

After navigating a rocky relationship road with Mellencamp, Ryan has “not given up on dating forever,” especially now that Costner is (almost) available. “Kevin checks every box of what she’d love in her next guy,” the insider noted. “He’s passionate about his craft, he’s a musician and he’s good-looking.” The Yellowstone star still has a long road ahead of him before his divorce is wrapped up, but if Ryan is patient, fans might see a new Hollywood power couple in the making.

Kevin Costner entertainments were never much my cup of tea, but I wouldn't say he's a bad actor. That said, the first time I saw him was in No Way Out and he was HOT AS FUCK, in my opinion. And he has remained gorgeous up to this day. Madonna was a cunt with her gag reflex about Costner. She took up with so many skeeze bags and Costner is sitting pretty.

I saw Kevin Costner a long time ago when I worked in a high-end hotel. He and I didn't talk, but his demeanor was not that of a big star. He was walking around the lobby, unaccompanied, looking around. It may have been Christmas-time. I've forgotten. (The hotel had pretty good Christmas decorations.)

Anyway, not much of an interaction, but I had a positive assessment of him. His demeanor was humble.

[quote] Kevin Costner divorce is settled!

Kevin Costner is "relieved" to put his contentious divorce behind him.

PEOPLE confirmed Tuesday that the 68-year-old Oscar winner and his estranged wife Christine, 49, had reached a settlement agreement four and a half months after she filed for dissolution of marriage May 1.

“Kevin is relieved that this matter has been settled and will continue to focus solely on jointly raising their three children,” a source tells PEOPLE.

The couple, who were married for 18 years, share sons Cayden, 16, and Hayes, 14, and daughter Grace, 13.

The terms of their settlement were not immediately clear, but TMZ, which first broke the news of the resolution, reported Christine would get more than the couple’s prenuptial agreement provided. According to previous court documents which referenced the prenup, the former model was entitled to around $1.5 million.

That the Costners were able to come to an “amicable” resolution is somewhat of a surprise, considering the bitter battle they waged through their attorneys over the past several months.

In June, Kevin accused Christine of refusing to vacate the beachfront Santa Barbara compound — worth an estimated $145 million — where the two raised their children. He claimed she was in violation of their prenup, which outlined that she must move out of their house within 30 days if she filed for divorce.

Since then, they have battled over several issues, including the amount of child support Kevin should pay; Christine’s move out date; and what household items she was entitled to remove from the house when she vacated the premises.

She ultimately moved into a $40,000-per-month rental home in August not far from Kevin’s compound.

During a two-day Santa Barbara court case determining child support in late August and early September, a judge set the monthly payments Kevin would pay to Christine at $63,209, matching his proposed amount after she and her lawyers had requested $175,057, up from the $129,755 the actor had been previously ordered to tentatively pay.

Both Kevin and Christine took the stand to make their case, and following the hearing, the judge wrote in a court filing explaining that although he found Christine “credible,” he thought larger child support could be “disguised spousal support.”

Earlier Tuesday, a rep for Kevin confirmed the pair had reached an agreement in a joint statement by the divorcing couple.

“Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings,” a rep for said in a joint statement previously obtained by PEOPLE.

Ahead of the news of their settlement, the exes were set to appear in court again this November to hash out the validity of their premarital agreement.

She was a model? For whom, Helen Keller Fashions?

I'm not at all anti-Christine Costner but model? Nah. That's just ridiculous.

by Anonymousreply 192September 20, 2023 2:40 AM

She knew her legal challenges to the pre-nup and child support weren't really supportable, and he probably realized the pr problems this was causing him, so they both got their lawyers to sit down and settle it.

She likely got a bit more settlement money (above the1.5 million) and he probably increased the monthly child support as well. She was awarded the minimum of around $65k but I bet her offered a raise on that, to get her to settle.

by Anonymousreply 193September 20, 2023 2:42 AM

She got more than a little above the $1.5 bullshit or she never would have signed off on it. Kevin didn't want his constant adultery, provably going on since their honeymoon 18 years ago, to be splashed all over the tabloids - which it definitely would have been. His current girlfriend must be so relieved.

The numbers will leak sooner or later. At a guess, she got between $25 and 30 million and a bump in child support beyond what the court determined. That's what I predicted months ago and that's what I predict now.

by Anonymousreply 194September 20, 2023 2:51 AM

Yeah, because you've been right about everything so far. Go take your meds, dear.

by Anonymousreply 195September 20, 2023 2:55 AM

I haven't been far wrong, hunny bunny.

I thought she would last in the beach house longer but I always said she's have to give it up eventually. There was no provision for child support in the prenup, the $1.5 million was bullshit and was never going to stand after 20 years and three kids during which Costner went from being worth $100 mil to $400 mil.

I said she'd end up with a nice house nearby, substantial child support (though less than I expected) and a decent lump sum settlement that most people estimated would be around $30 mil. and I agreed with that figure - I still do. I wasn't far off on any of it. This agreement is nowhere near that flimsy, not worth the paper it was printed on bullshit prenup. Weren't you the lunatic shrieking that she would be held to that agreement and get nothing more than was provided for in it? Boy were you ever totally fucking wrong.

Maybe it's your meds that are off, dear. You did show signs of that in your previous posts.

by Anonymousreply 196September 20, 2023 3:50 AM

I hated to be "what about the children," but all that public fighting was bad for them.

I think Kevin's image was just about to take a hit. Putting his kids' mother out on her ass. Let's face it. $1.3 million is not enough to buy a house in that area. You don't want the kids to be depressed & feeling sorry for their mom.

The kids would have grown to resent Kevin if he kept on as he was going.

by Anonymousreply 197September 20, 2023 3:59 AM

I read a thing yesterday that said Meg Ryan is waiting for the dust to settle before making a play for Ol Kev. (Apparently she's always had a thing for him.) Make of that what you will.

by Anonymousreply 198September 20, 2023 12:06 PM

Get back to us when your bff Christine gets that huge lump sum you insist she'll get.

by Anonymousreply 199September 20, 2023 2:14 PM

Meg Ryan is too old for Kevin, even though they're the same age group.

by Anonymousreply 200September 20, 2023 3:32 PM

She’ll get a large lump sum partly based upon the children.

I have to believe her attorneys have pointed out that a distinct, lower financial resources lifestyle from that which they enjoy with their father puts her relationship with them at a disadvantage and risk.

Ultimately, that could be viewed as not in the best interests of the children.

by Anonymousreply 201September 20, 2023 3:41 PM

I didn't realize Ryan and Mellencamp had broken up. Did she get tired of living in Southern Indiana? I'm kind of surprised he's still alive. He had a serious heart attack a number of years ago, but kept up a ridiculous smoking habit, something like two packs a day, that required getting up a couple of times a night to smoke. But I digress...

by Anonymousreply 202September 20, 2023 3:54 PM

Kevin has been a womanizer and player for so long that he is not used to being played on; as a result, he cannot cope.

Meg smokes like a chimney too.

by Anonymousreply 204September 20, 2023 4:57 PM

It's funny how absolutely delusional the fraus like R203 are.

It's as if they're living in their own little fantasy land.

The only one who "can't cope" is Christine the gold digging whore.

She's the one making outrageous claims of "needing" to live by the beach, and "needing" $167,000 per month to support her poor kids.

Bitch, shut the fuck up. The judge said NO.

And it is ONLY out of the goodness of Kevin Costner's heart, that he decided to settle FOR THE SAKE of his kids.

If this had gone to court in November and December, Christine the slut would have gotten EXACTLY what was spelled out in the IRON CLAD prenup that she signed. She's LUCKY that Kevin has a good and generous heart.

And for the record, Kevin holds all the cards. HE is the money maker. HE makes all the decisions, because he is the one out working hard earning money.

Meanwhile, his cheating whore of a gold diigging slut ex-wife is sitting on her fat ass all day, with delusions of grandeur about how to spend KEVIN's money.

So wake the fuck up, R203.

You and Christine are the reason why women are viewed with such hostility. Useless and good for nothing gold digging cunts.

[quote] Kevin Costner Had ‘All The Power’ In His Divorce From Christine Baumgartner

“Yellowstone” actor Kevin Costner had “all the power” in his contentious split from his wife, Christine Baumgartner, who allegedly had “no choice” but to agree with a divorce settlement.

After resolving things with Costner, the hairdresser was recently seen out and about, picking up a salsa near her $40,000-per-month rental home in Montecito.

The duo were locked in a four-month-long child support battle, which saw Costner come out victorious as he was ordered to pay Baumgartner $63,209 in child support, much less than what she wanted.

According to one report, Christine Baumgartner was recently spotted out for the first time since she settled her divorce from Oscar-award-winning actor Kevin Costner.

The hairdresser had on black leggings, a green top, and sneakers as she grabbed $6.99 salsa from a Vons supermarket situated close to her $40k monthly rental home in Montecito.

A source spoke to the news outlet about Baumgartner and Costner’s divorce settlement, saying, “Christine didn’t really have a choice but to settle because Kevin had all the power. Had she continued fighting, she would risk losing everything.”

They continued, “Christine said it is what it is. That she won’t miss going to court and having sleepless nights. She said for the kids it’s a win because no child wants to go through this, let alone in public.”

According to a TMZ report, the judge who presided over the duo’s case emphasized that the estranged couple’s pre-nuptial agreement would be enforced.

They also noted that Baumgartner would have to pay Costner over $1 million along with attorney fees in order to challenge their prenup in court.

Based on these conditions, Baumgartner agreed to the terms of a three-page settlement letter.

In a joint statement, the duo said of their settlement, “Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings.”

I wonder if she has to pay the $40,000 per month rent out of that $63,209 monthly child support payment. That leaves $23,000 per month. She probably needs to find a cheaper rental or buy a semi-modest house.

by Anonymousreply 210September 21, 2023 3:49 AM

The cost of the rental is separate. The $63k is the child support.

The judge in Santa Barbara did not say that the specific terms of the silly pre-nup would be enforced and they were not enforced. This article is filled with lies. Suddenly she's a hairdresser? She was a stay at home mum who used to design handbags. Was she a hair stylist before that?

Whatever, they're obviously an anti-Christine, pro-Kevvy site. He had to cough up some real money to settle this thing and rightly so. Costner put himself aside and in the best interests of the children stopped his public bitching and whining campaign (or he's doing it more discreetly now). He's worth $400 million with more on the way. He can pay a healthy settlement to his wife of 18 years and the mother currently raising his three youngest children without breaking a sweat. For his children, it's a very good thing that he did so.

Eventually it will all come out and become public. We'll see before long.

[quote] Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Oprah and More Attend Kevin Costner's Santa Barbara Fundraiser

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were among the big names who joined Kevin Costner at a One805 charity fundraiser in Santa Barbara, California, on Friday.

The actor hosted the One805LIVE! Fall 2023 fundraiser — which was held in support of the first responder community and headlined by band Maroon 5 — at his 1.4-acre beachfront estate, days after he and estranged wife Christine reached a settlement in their divorce.

Christine, 49, was not seen in photos of the event, though her name is listed alongside Kevin's as hosts of the fundraiser on the charity's website, which detailed that the event would "take place on the oceanside estate of Kevin and Christine Costner."

One805 provides financial aid and mental health support to first responders, and in a video posted by the charity on Instagram, Kevin, who is also an ambassador of One805, appeared onstage with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they presented him with an award at the fundraiser.

In the clip, Meghan, 42, clapped as Harry, 39, walked over to Kevin to hand him the award and shook his hand.

“Good afternoon everyone,” the actor then said to the crowd of attendees. “Now, I get asked a lot by my friends who have no manners, ‘Kev, what’s this place cost? What’s it worth?’ And I can just simply tell you on a day, like today, it’s worth every penny.”

“That you’ll be here to celebrate people you’ll never maybe meet,” the Yellowstone star continued. “The ones who are the first to rush in. And it's a place that I’ve had a lot of good luck in my life and I’ve tried to not throw up a wall around it, so thank you for coming.”

Oprah Winfrey was also in attendance at the One805 fundraiser. The former talk show host was seen in a video reposted by the charity, filmed by an attendee, onstage linking arms with first responder Sam Dudley and his service dog Rhonda as she introduced him.

While onstage, Winfrey, 69, praised One805 for their commitment in supporting the mental wellbeing of first responders as she shared the charity has counseled “over 700 responders” and “preventing 24 suicides” this year through its services.

Another clip showed Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine singing the band’s classic track “This Love” onstage as the crowd joined in.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Costner and Baumgartner settled their divorce, following Christine's May 1 divorce filing after 18 years of marriage.

"Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings," Costner’s rep said in a joint statement for the pair.

R213 well if course. Why would he put Madonna in there when Whitney is the star, Whitney is the singer, it's WHITNEY HOUSTON. Having Madonna on there too doesn't make any sense.

Unless Madonna wanted Whitney's role and that wouldn't work because Madonna is too guarded herself for a "bodyguard" to come and save the day .That wouldn't work because Madonna was too much of a power woman to play damsel in distress.

The interracial theme worked well too and made it more memorable.

Speaking of Whitney, am I misremembering that Costner went overboard about himself in the eulogy he gave at her funeral service?

I heard his eulogy and I thought it was nice. He didn't make it all about himself. It was about Whitney.

You are misremembering r219, his eulogy was gold standard for the context and the audience of largely black church folks loved it.

Of course Madge was demanding the role than went to Whitney. Madge cosplays as a singer. Costner said no, she was enraged so she made fun of him in the documentary. Poor Whitney, Costner hit on her the entire time. I think she finally had someone step in to deal with him but I don't remember the details.
