Our dear Paul Mescal and Saoirse Ronan’s “FOE” trailer

It is here! I am shaking. It looks so good. Our dear Paul looks gorgeous. The movie looks amazing.

I smell Oscar nomination #2 coming his way!

you need help.

by Anonymousreply 1August 24, 2023 2:53 PM

The movie looks very interesting. The trailer is vague.

by Anonymousreply 2August 24, 2023 2:55 PM

Why don’t you take your obsession to Reddit? Or Facebook or Twitter. . . . or a therapists office? Anywhere else, please, and save us from your exploding ovaries, as you so delicately put it in another thread.

by Anonymousreply 3August 24, 2023 3:15 PM

Die, troll.

by Anonymousreply 4August 24, 2023 3:16 PM

Keep fuckin' that chicken, you fucking FREAK.

by Anonymousreply 5August 24, 2023 3:18 PM

The trailer is vague? Seems to me it covers a LOT of the plot.

by Anonymousreply 6August 24, 2023 3:23 PM

Speaking of smelling, Saorise Ronan has been quoted as saying that Paul Mescal’s BO made filming love scenes nearly impossible. She reports that Mescal’s odor, reminiscent of a neglected nursing home crossed with an algae-ridden beach closed by the health department, was so bad that his make-up team wore COVID masks stuffed with tissue soaked in menthol.

by Anonymousreply 7August 24, 2023 3:25 PM

OP, Paul Mescal hates you. He doesn’t hate all unfuckable people, just you specifically.

by Anonymousreply 8August 24, 2023 3:30 PM

Not a movie I'm going to bother with. Not your Paul's fault. Sci-fi just ain't my thing.

by Anonymousreply 9August 24, 2023 3:31 PM

I personally think it looks good! And not only because of our dear Paul!

by Anonymousreply 10August 24, 2023 3:36 PM

Is the Lange Loon and the Mescal Maniac the same unfortunate soul?

by Anonymousreply 11August 24, 2023 3:38 PM

Our dear Paul goes from strength to strength.

And I have no idea why a few Paul Mescal threads get some people so irate. They want to take a look at all the Heartstopper threads. The fandom in those goes beyond obsession and they post a LOT more than PML does.

by Anonymousreply 12August 24, 2023 4:24 PM

Someone is working overtime to make PM (rhymes with BM) happen.

by Anonymousreply 13August 24, 2023 4:38 PM

It’s debuting at NYFF, as well as his other movie.

by Anonymousreply 14August 24, 2023 5:25 PM

[quote]They want to take a look at all the Heartstopper threads.

Not one single sane person in the universe wants to take a look at a Heartstopper thread.

MARY!

by Anonymousreply 18August 24, 2023 7:07 PM

“Dear” Paul looks a bit Mr-Potato-Heady on that poster, the poor dear.

by Anonymousreply 19August 24, 2023 7:08 PM

Omg. THERE IT IS. Crying!

Every movie role he plays now will have that over his name.

by Anonymousreply 20August 24, 2023 10:44 PM

He may be your dear Paul (in your tiny little head) but don’t assume that he’s anybody else’s. He looks like he smells - maybe explain to him about deodorant next time you have one of your imaginary conversations with him.

by Anonymousreply 21August 24, 2023 10:50 PM

People make fun of Americans and our obsession with personal hygiene but I have been to Europe, Asia and Australia. Australian people have good hygiene standards in my experience.

by Anonymousreply 22August 25, 2023 12:36 AM

[quote] Every movie role he plays now will have that over his name.

The same is true of many here-today-gone-tomorrow actors.

by Anonymousreply 23August 25, 2023 1:12 AM

Is the BO thing true?

by Anonymousreply 24August 25, 2023 1:18 AM

R24 no. As usual, the poster made a claim with no source.

by Anonymousreply 25August 25, 2023 1:25 AM

R23 I like him. His hot nepo son is doing well too.

by Anonymousreply 26August 25, 2023 1:26 AM

Cuba Gooding Jr. is an Oscar winner, and one who made stupid choices post Oscar win. However, that may just be what he was offered. Black actors have said that Hollywood almost punishes them after getting an Oscar nomination, yet alone win. Or at least used to. They would get offered the worst movie roles or none at all.

by Anonymousreply 27August 25, 2023 11:55 AM

On the actors smelling thing, Miriam Margolyes confirmed Leonardo DiCaprio stank during the time she filmed Romeo and Juliet with him. Apparently he didn't wash for days.

by Anonymousreply 28August 25, 2023 12:39 PM

Leo’s parents were hippies who believe one doesn’t need to shower daily etc. he also doesn’t use deodorant etc. neither does Matthew McConaughey, who is known to smell kinda bad too.

People who meet Mescal say he smells of incredible cologne.

by Anonymousreply 29August 25, 2023 12:54 PM

When Rosie O’Donnell had her talk show back in the late 90s/early 00s she said a lot of celebs don’t smell good, and a lot of wealthy people in general don’t have good hygiene. She would over-indulge in perfume because she feared anyone ever running into her and her not smelling good the way many celebs didn’t n

by Anonymousreply 30August 25, 2023 12:58 PM

Sorry I haven’t posted, been working! (It’s 2:03 pm here). Our dear Paul actually smells great! When I met him outside after his performance in Streetcar I asked him what his scent was and he said “Another 13”. It’s become his go-to cologne.

Here is the link if you want to smell like our dear Paul!

Our dear Paul has expensive taste!

by Anonymousreply 33August 25, 2023 3:20 PM

Well he can afford it r33.

by Anonymousreply 34August 25, 2023 3:21 PM

R33 yup. Good thing he can afford his expensive taste. I wish I could lol.

by Anonymousreply 35August 25, 2023 3:24 PM

R33 good for him. I, however, debate paying $30 for a scent lol

I couldn’t imagine paying $332 for one.

by Anonymousreply 36August 25, 2023 3:41 PM

His haircut is terrible in r32.

by Anonymousreply 37August 25, 2023 6:55 PM

What she did was try to provoke me to hit her or hounded over and over again on what I needed to do. I walked toward the phones and she unplugged them later she grabbed my phone. I didn’t want to leave her with my mother there so I stayed. Finally she got somewhat violent so I went to the bathroom. My mother later said she slapped her. I told her if she gave me my phone I would get out of the bathroom. She did but I called my other sister instead who called the police. The cop was very nice and gave my mother condolences (my father had just died) ny sister tried to say I hit her and claimed to have marks. The cops didn’t believe her ( they have had many run ins with her before). She finally left after almost a whole night of terror.to this day if I talk about this incident to my brothers they say ‘she’s just a girl’. I have been deeply lonely lately so I thought I would reach out to her but she doesn’t return my phone calls. She is notorious for that.

by Anonymousreply 38August 25, 2023 7:58 PM

I assume we all agree that both films coming out starring our dear Paul are must-see films!

by Anonymousreply 39September 21, 2023 4:48 PM

Fuck off.

Psycho @ r39, no one agrees with you on this or anything else regarding this odd looking actor who you’re obsessing over…

by Anonymousreply 40September 21, 2023 5:09 PM

R39, I just spoke to Paul. He told me that he hates you.

by Anonymousreply 41September 21, 2023 6:03 PM

Paul M is a good actor, regardless of what most people here say.

by Anonymousreply 42September 21, 2023 6:09 PM

R42 almost certain the loser who is always trashing him (and then claiming he would ride his dick from a separate account) has never even watched him in anything. He claimed he stopped watching Normal People after a few minutes and then must have forgot to switch browsers because the same account then claimed he made it 3 episodes in then stopped. He also criticized Aftersun and I know for a fact he never stopped to watch it. Watching YouTube clips isn’t watching the film

by Anonymousreply 43September 21, 2023 6:12 PM

Well the first batch of reviews are out and it’s been getting mostly negative reviews, the first film with our dear Paul to be rotten. There has been a lot of chatter about this because it’s his first critical bomb of his career, however every review praises him and Ronan’s performances. It’s the script that is supposedly terrible and the directors choices are terrible and the film falls apart in its second half after having a strong first half.

I will still be watching this but it’s sad he has his first “rotten” film under his belt, even though every actor has them.

“ In FOE, Paul Mescal & Saoirse Ronan are working overtime in this dystopian film, but even they, superb actors both, can’t make this jumble of a script work. FOE is one of those somber sci-films with a message but really has less on its mind than it thinks it does. ”

R65 Chill out, mate. They’re just posting a few movie reviews.

by Anonymousreply 66October 2, 2023 4:34 AM

Garth Davis has made two flops in a row now, out of three movies total. And the one that didn't suck was an adaptation of a bestseller and pure awards bait fare.

There's interesting talent coming out of Australia, but he's not it. Really don't understand his appeal to the stars of Ronan's calibre.

by Anonymousreply 67October 2, 2023 4:40 AM

Being an adaptation makes it harder to succeed, not easier r67. Fans of that book are hyper critical.

by Anonymousreply 68October 2, 2023 9:25 AM

Does he flash any of his goods in this movie?

by Anonymousreply 69October 2, 2023 10:36 AM

R69 no. He’s an actor. Not a porn star. GROW UP.

by Anonymousreply 70October 2, 2023 11:11 AM

R70 oh piss off you prisspot. He had everything out in that TV series

by Anonymousreply 71October 2, 2023 12:01 PM

R71 ok? That means he is supposed to for every role? Immature retard

by Anonymousreply 72October 2, 2023 2:52 PM

I'm about to watch this, I've been waiting for it to come to Prime and it is now! I hope its good.

by Anonymousreply 73January 10, 2024 11:59 PM

R73 it came on Prime last week.

Most say it isn’t good and it is meh but I like Mescal in it.
