I bought a Jackery power station. Of course it is made in China. Their US website presents the company as American, but the language they use gives them away.

This sounded to me like something translated from Chinese. The product manual includes phrases like “Please kindly check if the one you get is the same as the one you ordered.” Again, not what an American company would say.
I did some research and Jackery is a brand owned by Shenzhen Hello Tech Energy Co. Ltd
