Farce and ridiculousness on steroids. The cast is to die for. I love it.

In my top three Wes Anderson films. Ralph Fiennes was perfect.

This line had me literally laughing out loud. Not a nice word, but a very funny scene.

Love the movie (if for no other reason that spotting Ralph Fiennes' numerous displays of VPL). The cast is terrific, especially the actor who plays Zero.

Anderson’s least irritating film.

It's an incredibly smart, inventive and unpredictable film. Love it to death.

And that score!

Visuals are stunning. Every frame is a great photo. Story is forgettable. I enjoyed it a lot.

The three crazy sisters talking over each other unintelligibly, is a scream. Tilda Swinton‘s character is a riot. She’s so fragile! LOL They were all good. Anderson was blessed with this A-list cast.

In 2007 F. Murray Abraham, who portrayed the older Zero in The Grand Budapest Hotel, played Barabas and Shylock in a double bill of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice and Marlowe's The Jew of Malta. Eric Porter did the same in 1965 playing both Barabas and Shylock in a double bill of the two plays.

A wonderful homage and tribute to the fantastic but mostly forgotten Stefan Zweig. Love this film.

A wonderful ode to Old Austria.

R18, Owen Wilson is racist?

I may have to give this another try. I was so excited to watch it, but was left feeling a bit ripped off.

Based on the above comments, perhaps I have to give this film another try. Maybe get high this time.

This is a great movie! I watched it with a good friend. Weird story but that's what makes it so great. It's just...weird.

To think this film is 11 years old today

This is the last movie I saw in theaters that truly wowed me.

I suspect a good deal of the people involved in Wes Anderson's films are unpleasant people. BIll Murray can be a complete cunt, for example. Owen Wilson. Etc.

None of them are musicians, so who cares. The music score comes at the end of the production

The little dancing Cossack going wild in the end credits is so fucking funny!

I loved the art direction/production design/whatever it’s called. The Cold War version of the hotel lobby was perfection. I feel like I’ve been there.

R18 I read the word "wantonly" is two words, want only. Makes ya think...

Either Tony Revolori as Zero Moustafa, the newly hired bellhop mentored by Gustave, or F. Murray Abraham as the elderly Zero, needed to be recast.

I gas no idea what this was about when it showed up on “watch next” recommendations.

I gave it a watch and thought it was entertaining.

The cast is great.

I may have to watch it again.

Anderson is very alla mode today. Or was it yesterday?
