Explore Lesbos Island, Greece
Big and beautiful Lesbos, or Lesvos, is the third largest Greek island after Crete and Evia, and the birthplace of the ancient Greek poet Sappho.
It boasts stunning natural landscapes, including beautiful beaches, lush green mountains, and picturesque villages.
So it’s still possible for visitors to get a taste of old-fashioned island life by steering clear of the main tourist areas (which as tourist areas go, are still relatively undeveloped). Add historical sites, museums, Roman ruins, hot springs, great walking, and wildlife, and the island offers a one-stop introduction to Greek culture.

Agiassos is known for its special bright green landscape, its narrow cobbled streets lined by rows of tiled-roof houses, the traditional architecture and its devout inhabitants. It is regarded as the artistic and religious center of the island.
Plomari is located due south of Mount Olympos. It offers scenic appeal as well as the presence of its famous ouzo-distilling industry. Brands can be sampled at the traditional coffee shops.

Is there any potential on Lesbos for a wayward young man to pull in any dick?

The town of Molyvos itself is built of stone houses and shops which surround the castle and follow the coast to one of the most scenic harbors in Greece. Take a stroll along the charming harbor, lined with colorful fishing boats and waterfront tavernas offering fresh seafood.

Eftalou Beach
R7. Lesbos, the third biggest Greek island, is popular with lesbians, but there are also plenty of local gay men. The nudist beach, Eftalou has a long expanse of sand and pebble, but most visitors don’t go beyond the small spa building sitting on top of the area’s natural hot springs. The last two coves on Eftalou (easily signposted from Molyvos on the north coast) are almost exclusively gay and lesbian.
The island is more sedate with a more mature clientele. If you're looking for dick, Mykonos is still the place to go.

I never knew that the Island of Lesbos actually attracted lesbians.
I always thought it was just a funny name that happened to be reminiscent of lesbians, but I guess the island has a cult following.
Maybe Michfest should consider relocating?

R12. Sappho was an Archaic Greek poet from Eresos or Mytilene on the island of Lesbos. Sappho is known for her lyric poetry, written to be sung while accompanied by music. In ancient times, Sappho was widely regarded as one of the greatest lyric poets and was given names such as the "Tenth Muse" and "The Poetess."

R18. It was a problem because of Lesbos' proximity to Turkey giving refugees a foothold into Europe. But that is an old photo from a few years ago.
You're a killjoy intent on ruining the message.

R19 I honestly had no idea where Lesbos was, or what kind of refugees they were.
So I looked it up and I never realized how many "Greek" islands were right off the coast of Turkey.
I'm surprised that they're actually even considered Greek, and not Turkish.

r9 There used to be a Greek restaurant in Manhattan named Molyvos. Not sure whether it's still there anymore.
