I would say that it's interesting that the eldest child should be the last survivor but all four of the children had different genetics, so it's a bit less surprising.

Mommie Dearest the book isn’t as brutal as the film.

Hats off to Christina for breaking down the door for talking about child abuse, making it an actual thing and something that wasn’t even considered abuse before.

But I think she over exaggerated. I think Joan was bad but reading the book, Christina sounds like a spoiled brat re-imagining her version of events.

Christina hates the movie but the movie benefited her because the book was really questionable. And it reimagined that interview.

Someone posted it here and Joan and Christina were publicly at war with each other before her death. Joan came out, was it Life magazine, and blasted Christina for being spoiled and an opportunist.

Joan cutting them out of the will was actually not the shock it was as it’s depicted in the movie.

Christina knew she was cut off, that’s why she wrote the book.

And I think she hates the movie because it overshadowed her as the star and they rejected two of her scripts.

Was Joan unable to have kids, or she just didn't want to ruin her figure?

She must have been happiest during the mid to late 1970s. She’s worn the same hairstyle, mostly, since then. (She cut it short, for a brief time, after she had a stroke.)

Christina was a little tramp, slutting around at the age of 11. Joan had an out of control kid and her methods of dealing with Christina weren't considered abusive at the time.
