Take my poll...
What color are your eyes?
by Anonymous | reply 60 | June 8, 2023 12:27 PM |
Light Cataract.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 5, 2023 5:00 AM |
Yeah, why isn't "milky white" an option?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 5, 2023 5:04 AM |
I always say grey though they can look more blue or green depending on light and what I’m wearing. There’s a term for this color but I can’t remember what it is
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 5, 2023 5:09 AM |
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 5, 2023 5:11 AM |
They can go crystal green or emerald depending on the shirt.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 5, 2023 5:31 AM |
Sure, because "crystal green" is a color.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 5, 2023 5:38 AM |
My cat dislikes you, R6.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 5, 2023 5:48 AM |
WHERE IS OLIVE?!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 5, 2023 6:03 AM |
R6 Remember this? ... lol.
[quote] I want it to be a soft green. Not as blue-green as a robin's egg, but not as yellow-green as daffodil buds .....

This color, but with a wider and darker dark blue band around the outer edge of the iris.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 5, 2023 6:26 AM |
Green.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 5, 2023 6:34 AM |
Which one of you attention whores said violet?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 5, 2023 6:37 AM |
why do you care, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 5, 2023 6:42 AM |
This sort of blue-gray-green, which varies according to whether I wear a blue, gray, or green shirt.
The French call this eye color "Glasz", there's no word in English for it, so I clicked "multicolor".
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 5, 2023 7:57 AM |
You can have just about any color you want, including an Emerald Green by Bella Elite.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 5, 2023 9:10 AM |
Some of you queens are WAY too bitchy.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 5, 2023 9:16 AM |
There's no such think as black eyes. Those are just dark brown eyes. Same with most of the other colors mentioned. There are only brown, blue and green eyes.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 5, 2023 9:21 AM |
"There's no such think as black eyes. Those are just dark brown eyes."
No, I used to know a woman with genuinely *black* eyes, not dark brown eyes. In normal dark brown eyes you can see a tiny difference in color between the pupil and the surrounding iris, but Maria had genuinely *black* eyes, with absolutely no color differentiation. It was actually kind of unsettling, once I realized what I was looking at, it was like looking into eyes that were all pupil.
So I will say that genuine black eyes are quite rare, but they do exist.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 5, 2023 10:12 AM |
That’s it’s, r15. Thanks
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 5, 2023 12:03 PM |
R18 There are grey eyes.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 5, 2023 12:11 PM |

Why do we care about anything on this goofy message board. This is the same place where there's bloodshed over draining pasta and which Facts of Life girl was fatter.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 5, 2023 2:30 PM |
I thought hazel was more special.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 5, 2023 2:36 PM |
The most beautiful woman I ever knew had hazel/green eyes with flecks of orange. Have never seen the color orange in anyone else's eyes.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 5, 2023 3:08 PM |
Natalie was fatter, duh. Liz Lemon had dead, black shark eyes.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 5, 2023 4:55 PM |
What color is your pussy?
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 5, 2023 7:04 PM |
Only 10% of Earthlings have blue eyes.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 5, 2023 8:00 PM |
The vast majority of human beings have brown eyes, probably 80% or more of the world's population has dark brown eyes.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | June 5, 2023 9:04 PM |
[quote]Only 10% of Earthlings have blue eyes.
But 31.5% of DLers do.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 5, 2023 9:32 PM |
My eye and blue and my pubes blonde
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 5, 2023 9:40 PM |
Mine are kind of aqua. Blue but sometimes more green.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 5, 2023 9:48 PM |
Datalounge: blue eyed and sadly short at just 6’3”.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 5, 2023 9:49 PM |
17.2% green is extremely unlikely, even if everyone on Datalounge was white. Just some people trying to be interesting and unique.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 5, 2023 10:17 PM |
My mother said there’s a fleck of green in one of my totally brown eyes.
So I picked green.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 5, 2023 10:21 PM |
What color is your asshole??
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 5, 2023 10:25 PM |
"Datalounge: blue eyed and sadly short at just 6’3”."
And only 29! But we look 19.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 5, 2023 10:27 PM |
I wonder if my “beautiful green eyes” are the same as having really good hair. I’ve seen some old troll dolls with amazing hair; perhaps I’m a grizzled gnome with pretty eyes.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 5, 2023 11:32 PM |
My eyes are green, my dress is auburn, and my dress is vivid red!
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 5, 2023 11:51 PM |
Love seeing that there's a lot of blue eyes, means a lot of us here are white people.

Hey, R39, I'm 62 and still have great hair!
Of course having great hair takes a lot more effort than it used to, but it's still thick and shiny. If only the rest of me looked as good as my hair...

Jesus I hope r41 is joking
by Anonymous | reply 44 | June 6, 2023 1:17 AM |
I also hope that R41 is joking, and also knows that while it's rare - black people can have blue eyes.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | June 6, 2023 2:38 AM |
When i got my Minnesnowta driver license, I marked my eye color as blue, but the DVS clerk changed it to gray. Gray is an eye color on MN drivers licenses.

R35 I don’t remember the technical name for the bias, but people with green eyes are likely more interested in this poll and the thread because of their rare eye color, so more green-eyed people may have answered, but it doesn’t mean there are more of them.
Of course some of them could be those delusional “hazel-eyed” weirdos who only think they have green eyes.

Seeinthless is supposed to pointless, but I don’t hate seeinthless.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 6, 2023 12:29 PM |
R19 No, those were just very dark brown eyes. Pretty sure the experts in this field, who claim there are only three different eye colors, know better.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 6, 2023 5:03 PM |
R21 Or blue eyes that look gray under certain angle/lightning
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 6, 2023 5:04 PM |
R51 see R46. If a state has the gray color option for its ID cards and drivers licenses, it must exist.

How did Crystal Gayle change her eye color from brown to blue? Those colored lenses?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | June 6, 2023 9:48 PM |
Do colored lenses look really fake up close?
by Anonymous | reply 54 | June 6, 2023 10:45 PM |
Yes. Colored lenses look really fake up close, or most do. They don't refract light the way real human eyes do, a real colored iris is concave and is seen behind a transparent hemisphere of fluids and membranes, while a colored contact lens sits on top of the hemisphere. An opaque colored contact looks opaque and convex, a real human iris looks concave and has a has a transparent component.
The only colored contacts that look natural are the tinted ones, the ones with opaque colors always look fake and horrible.

For those who have commented that there are only 3 eye colors:
"While there is a limitless number of hues, shades, richness, and combinations of colors, most people agree about how many eye colors there are in general. And that number is six: brown, hazel, blue, green, gray, and amber. Generally, eye color depends on how much of the pigment melanin is in the iris, the colored part of the eyes."
Interestingly, there are no blue or green pigments in the human eye. Those colors are "perceived" by the scattering (or reflecting) effect of light striking the surface of those colors of eyes, and the amount of liquid in the eyeball between the iris and the surface of the eye. The only pigment in the eye is melanin, a brownish pigment, so anything else we perceive is not created by a pigment but by this scattering effect. Brown eyes have a lot of melanin which causes them to absorb light, blue eyes have the least, and the other colors are intermediate. I'm sure that's why the perception of blue, green, and hazel can be so different depending on the light source where the eye color is being observed, and also what color clothes the person is wearing and so forth.
