Tina always thanked Olivia for having her on her special back then (1980) and credited her for restarting her solo career. She met ONJ's manager Roger Davies on that special, and he took her on as a client and recharged her incredible comeback a few years after. She loved what he did with ONJ's new image since 1979, and asked him to do the same for her - so she could be on the pop charts.

I was so ignorant. I never knew Toni Tennille was actually talented!

I know Toni sang a lot of schmaltz but untalented she wasn’t. Before they became famous and captain and tennille were considered first rate session/backup musicians and Toni sang back up on the wall and dark side of the moon.

I've been going down a Toni rabbit hole on youtube for the last hour, R8. What a voice!

Toni toured in the musical "Victor / Victoria " back in the 90s after it closed on Broadway. Critics said she was better than Liza and Raquel Welch, both who replaced Julie Andrews on Broadway at times and wanted to know why the producers didn't replace JA with TT when she left for good in 1997.
