"The First Time" was GREAT! This still makes me laugh.

I watched a few Gidget episodes on Tubi and was amazed that I remembered almost every line Sally Fields ever spoke on that show. Can’t believe she’s almost 80 years old.

Silly Field

I LOVED this show as a kid.

Like weirdly loved it. I'm chalking it up to myself lusting after Boxleitner and not really getting it at a young age. I was 9-10 years old.

I've watched in later, and it was OK. I feel like the last season took a turn for the serious that didn't work for the show, but I still enjoyed it. Very much had a jumped the shark moment as did Remington Steele, and Simon & Simon. Magnum PI as a contrast, was actually really quality television and balanced the serious and the silly.

Though an excellent show I should have watched earlier, the only reason I started watching Babylon 5 was Boxleitner.

I love Tubi. My friend Julie and I watched every single episode of Fantasy Island two summers ago.

I was really excited about Scarecrow and Mrs. King because Kate Jackson was finally coming back to series television. Which, now that I think about it, was bone-chillingly gay for a nine year old boy to think, but there I was. I also remember Beverly Garland portrayed Jackson's mother and OF COURSE when I saw her name in the credits I asked my mother if she was any relation to Judy. I could not have been a gayer child if I tried.

For those who might be interested...there's a podcast called '80s TV Ladies. They did a handful of episodes about Scarecrow & Mrs. King, including interviews with Martha Smith (so great as Francine) and co-creator Eugenie Ross-Leming.

Was Scarecrow written as "gay"? He mentions his (dead) partner as someone who "laughs at your jokes, lends you his socks and one day takes a bullet to his head for you". Mrs King asks if they were friends for a long time, he says "not long enough". 😢

Later the bad guys' code for Scarecrow is "Peach Pilgrim Puff". I mean, come on! 😁
