Let the handsome one win!

Not sure why Politico picked that photo, but Rollins is not the central figure in that photo - he's off to the right. (Ironically.)

by Anonymousreply 1May 16, 2023 10:26 PM

Didn’t he just lose a few months ago? He lost and he wants a rematch? Is he Trump?

by Anonymousreply 2May 16, 2023 11:45 PM

He was close - close enough that he was at a meeting for new reps when they told him the bad news about the final count.

So he's got a very good chance.

by Anonymousreply 3May 17, 2023 12:41 AM

But why does he get a do-over? Was the last election voided?

by Anonymousreply 4May 17, 2023 12:51 AM

R4 Because US House of Representative elections are every 2 years...?

Rollins announced his candidacy for 2024 elections.

by Anonymousreply 5May 17, 2023 4:18 AM

In other words, he's not getting a "redo" for 2022. This is for the NEXT election.

by Anonymousreply 18October 27, 2023 7:25 PM

Calvert's constituents have heard that before, over and over, for the last 30 years (1993) and they could give a shit.

Rollins is going to have to come up with something new to attract more voters on the western and northern sides of the district.

by Anonymousreply 25February 12, 2024 8:45 PM

R25, all Calvert has is lies

by Anonymousreply 26February 12, 2024 8:48 PM

R26 Which apparently no less than 52.3% of the voters in this district were more than happy to buy into. .. That, even after the district was redrawn in 2020 and thought to be less favorable to Calvert. .. As the Los Angeles Times wrote post-election, "Calvert has deep roots in the district. Supporters say despite his decades in the nation’s capital, Calvert remains a familiar face in the community, showing up at Rotary and Chamber of Commerce meetings when he is home." .. These people vote.

by Anonymousreply 27February 12, 2024 10:50 PM

R27, more Dems will turn out in 2024 since it's a presidential election year. Midterms have lower turnout

by Anonymousreply 28February 12, 2024 10:53 PM

Meet Will (virtually)
