Kind of amazing that Pia was the first guest and Betty was the second. Hard to believe there was a time Pia was considered the bigger star (though to her credit, she does seem very sweet here).

See she really wasn’t the “A list” star for a lot of her career that everyone retroactively thinks she was - always beloved, sure, but being the second guest after Pia Zamora? And this wasn’t during her Mamas Family/Love Boat years, she was already on Golden Girls.

They went back a long time, as they were co-panelists on the early 60s on TTTT.

She was funnier when Joan was the host of The Tonight Show because both would always roast each other.

R15 she stayed close (professionally) to both of them, interestingly . I think she, Carson, and Liberace of all people had the same manager in the 50s & 60s. That clip is so good though r15.
