It's illegal for anyone to make medical information public without the consent of the patient, or their decison-maker, and Foxx has always kept his private life private so his family seems to be doing what he'd wish. FYI it's also a firing offense for hospital staff... so I bet the hospital management is patrolling the halls with machine guns to make sure the staff knows how important it is to keep their traps shut.

And yes, when a previously healthy man of 55 is in the hospital for a month, it's bad. I'm assuming there's some sort of disability happening, if he hasn't progressed to home or rehabilitation by now.

If it was in fact an aneurysm, the end results vary wildly. Some recover rather quickly, some slowly, some have serious complications such as a stroke and even a heart attack, and some get progressively worse and don't make it. Obviously he didn't recover quickly, but hopefully he is on the mend.

I assume he is on a ventilator and the family chose to see how he progresses. Sometimes they improve but sometimes they progress to brain death, then the organ donation people are required to ask the family if they are interested in donation. That is a very difficult decision to make and sometimes can take a week for the family to decide and then it takes 3 or 4 days to allocate the organs and arrange for transportation for the recovery team or teams. A month is actually pretty normal if the stroke/aneurysm rumors are true.

If you have been cavalier and neglectful of developing healthy habits, things can start to go wrong when you're in your fifties, and the wake up call your body sends to you may knock you on your ass. I had a good friend who had a massive heart attack out of the blue. He thought he was fine. He only ever went to the doctor when he got sick. Never had a real physical.
