Am I pretty?

Basically, symmetry is what our eyes like to see. But little flaws can also make a guy super sexy. There is a lid for every pot. Do the best you can with your looks, and be a good conversationalist. Also, most people look better in person.

OP, I was quite beautiful at one time. No more, and that’s fine by me. I do NOT, nor have I ever expected, to be a 8, or a 9, into my elder years.

Isn't there something called the "Golden Ratio)? Which is the triangle or distance from the corners of the eyes and then the nose. I'm sure how to explain it, but it's something like that. Jared Leto's eyes are too close together, but I think he's still attractive. It's hard to explain what makes people attractive, but it's a very good question.

Looks are only half of it. Wit, charm and intelligence go a long way in making a man attractive. A lot of money doesn't hurt either 😉

I’m the eyes-too-close-are-a-big-red-flag troll, and my casual observation is that eyes-too-close-togethers tend to mercilessly beat or kill their girlfriends’ offspring and sometimes their own.

It’s plausible that from an evolutionary standpoint that the human brain has its own ‘biometric scanner’ that determines whether a person is reproduction material.

Obviously, some people have broken scanners and let these guys babysit anyway. You can look through the Most Wanteds or Arrests and see the correlation— they’re usually wanted/arrested for assault/bodily injury, etc.

Other red flags are really obvious and the result of poor life choices such as face/neck tats, necks larger than heads, etc. you don’t need to pelt them with rocks, just don’t let them watch your kids, pets or elderlies.

Everything that human beings find attractive or physically beautiful comes down to balance, proportion, symmetry - whether it’s food, music, design, looks. The human brain likes balance and things in the right proportion. That’s why babies respond to harmonies they way they do. It’s why we like certain foods over others.

So yes physical beauty is very scientific and we respond to certain traits for evolutionary reasons. In my personal opinion David Gandy is (was) the most beautiful, pretty, handsome man I’ve ever seen.

Now physical beauty a lot of times, can be the opposite of what we find hot or sexy. We can be drawn to it while at the same time NOT be turned on by it.

I don’t think he’s handsome. I can’t pinpoint what it is but his face is not at all attractive to me.
