Robbie Benson looked real cute ca. 1977 on American Bandstand.

Jimmy McNichol for me, although there is no visible penis in this scene.

I used to rip out pictures of Jimmy McNichol from my cousin’s teenybopper magazines, and then pretend I didn’t know anything about it. I remember one photo of him shirtless in a hammock that I kept in my secret hiding place.

R2, what did you do with those pictures?

What do you think r3?

DNA.

R2/R4, made a picture book?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 6, 2023 3:29 PM |
Why did they include JFK Jr in the intro and then drop it?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 6, 2023 3:39 PM |
"Willie Ahmeez?"
Good lord.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 6, 2023 3:47 PM |
This seems like a rather eclectic, odd selection.

Forget about Willie Aames. Grant Goodeve, who played the oldest son, David, on "Eight is Enough," was the one who caught my eye.

Erik Estrada was my go-to-guy.

The amount of spunk that gay boys spanked out to Christopher Atkins could've populated a small nation.

Pin-up boys/teen idols never did much for me. I've always had a muscle fetish, so musclemen were my first realization I might be a homosexual.

R16, when you were young, all you had to do was unroll the papyrus to see the Moses centerfold.

Dirk Benedict.
In hindsight, I can't believe these shots were ever published in teen mags like Tiger Beat and Teen Beat. The times sure were different then.

R20 They look like 'outtakes' from PLAYGIRL.
Notice he (and other pinups back then) didn't have the over-muscular bodies ? His arms are rather thin, his chest not that developed - but still looks damn fine.

I was jerking off to Playgirl as a teen in the 70s, not these squeaky twinks.

OMG, my sexuality was definitely formed while reading 16 Magazine, Tiger Beat and Teen Beat. I didn't realize it at the time, had no understanding that I was attracted to these guys sexually or that it was weird for a boy to be reading these magazines. I probably started reading them in 1977 when I was 8, and the sex part didn't hit me for about three years. And THEN I locked myself in my room several times a day.
But I do wonder if, back then, parents looked askance at boys who read those magazines. It wasn't all I read, and I was a voracious reader of everything, from Archie comics to Hardy Boys books to purloined copies of VC Andrews novels. But I would buy the teeny bopper mags and read them out in the open all the time without a word said to me. It was only after I realized that I was sexually attracted to the guys in them that I stopped buying them and graduated to People, Us, Rolling Stone and others.

If you grew up in the 70s and 80s as a gay kid, PEOPLE magazine was your Bible.
