Jack Nicholson, sad last days?

Probably not, he looks fat, drunk and happy!

He looked disheveled 40 years ago

by Anonymousreply 1April 16, 2023 4:31 AM

Op It is sad, FINAL days and the other thread is still active, you stupid fat whore.

by Anonymousreply 2April 16, 2023 4:34 AM

Isn't mid-80s when a lot of people die? I think if you make it past that hump, you will probably live into your 90s- and perhaps beyond.

by Anonymousreply 3April 16, 2023 4:45 AM

He actually looks pretty damn good for 85.

by Anonymousreply 4April 16, 2023 4:47 AM

Jack is at the Lakers game tonight with his son, Ray. (his first game in a couple years) He looks pretty good, put-together. He's had a shave & hair cut. Strangely, he isn't wearing his trademark shades.

by Anonymousreply 5April 29, 2023 3:05 AM

He actually looks good for 85. He doesn't look well, sure, but he looks like he could still help you carry a couch out of your apartment.

by Anonymousreply 6April 29, 2023 3:11 AM

Saw him at the game. Looks great for 85. Looks to be relatively healthy for 85.

by Anonymousreply 7April 29, 2023 3:26 AM

He seemed like a hot shit when he was younger. Now I have no thoughts about him other than he was excellent in Cuckoo's Nest.

by Anonymousreply 8April 29, 2023 3:30 AM

Quite big tits.

by Anonymousreply 9April 29, 2023 3:57 AM

What happened between The Shining (1980) and Terms of Endearment (1983) that caused Jack to balloon up as he did? Did he quit coke after Belushi died in '82? That scared a lot of stars straight (at least temporarily).

Most people as big as he is don't make it to 85.

by Anonymousreply 10April 29, 2023 6:25 AM

n 1982, he starred as an immigration enforcement agent in The Border, directed by Tony Richardson. It co-starred Warren Oates, who played a corrupt border official. Richardson wanted Nicholson to play his role less expressively than he had in his earlier roles. "Less is more", he told him, and wanted him to wear reflecting sunglasses to portray what patrolmen wore. Richardson recalled that Nicholson worked hard on the set:

He's what the Thirties and Forties stars were like. He can come on the set and deliver, without any fuss, without taking a long time walking around getting into it. "What do you want? Okay." And he just does it straight off. And then if you want him to do it another way on the next take, he can adapt to that too.

by Anonymousreply 11April 29, 2023 6:31 AM

R11, less is more is a motto Jack Nicholson followed as much as Norma Shearer or Susan Hayward. He got from the scenery.

by Anonymousreply 12April 29, 2023 6:41 AM

Fat from^

by Anonymousreply 13April 29, 2023 6:42 AM

Has he been partying with Jack Sparrow?

by Anonymousreply 14April 29, 2023 6:44 AM

My gut is telling me the suspect is a young guy who is muscular.

by Anonymousreply 15April 29, 2023 8:22 AM

Nicholson was very subdued in REDS.

by Anonymousreply 16April 29, 2023 1:40 PM

If it weren't for his hand on his face, I'd say he looks coffin-ready.

by Anonymousreply 17April 29, 2023 1:42 PM

I think he looks tremendous!

by Anonymousreply 18April 29, 2023 1:52 PM

Fat and happy Jack is cool. He is a lot more tenaciously rebellious than either James Dean or Brando. Perhaps Pete the cutie was a factor. Jack is such a character

Jack was courtside at the Lakers game (again) last night.

Looks great for 86.

by Anonymousreply 21May 9, 2023 6:23 PM

I love all the caveats for him looking "great". As if a multimillionaire doesn't have the ability to look better than an obese drunken slob at this age.

by Anonymousreply 22May 9, 2023 7:06 PM

Such anger^.

by Anonymousreply 23May 9, 2023 7:07 PM

R23 if you mistake truth for anger, then yes.

by Anonymousreply 24May 9, 2023 7:09 PM

Very angry.

by Anonymousreply 25May 9, 2023 7:11 PM

Jack is back at the Lakers game again. 😎

I'd like to think this is a good omen. Lakers are 2-0 when Jack attends.

by Anonymousreply 26May 13, 2023 2:31 AM

Cool!!

by Anonymousreply 27May 13, 2023 2:37 AM

Gene Hackman, 93, still doing chores by himself

[quote]Nicholson was very subdued in REDS.

Yes. One of his best performances. Coming off The Shining and The Postman Always Rings Twice, both of which had a lot of patented Nicholson scenery-chewing, it showed another side of him.

That's one thing you can usually count on when an actor decides to direct for the first time. They tend to get good performances from the cast.

A while back, I watched a documentary about the making of Reds that was done for one of its anniversaries. When Beatty called Nicholson about playing Eugene O'Neill, Nicholson wasn't sure he was right for it. He said, "Warren, I can act anything, but I can't act 'thin'." Nicholson was trim by his own standards in Reds, but O'Neill in a lot of photographs is borderline gaunt. Beatty told him, "After the film comes out, people will think Eugene O'Neill looked like you."

by Anonymousreply 29May 13, 2023 2:56 AM

Why doesn't Anjelica Huston move in with him?

by Anonymousreply 30May 13, 2023 3:05 AM

I love that guy. He can dress up, dress down, not dress, overdress, I don’t care. I just want to hear him talk.

by Anonymousreply 31May 13, 2023 3:07 AM

Then you’re love this R31.

*you’ll

by Anonymousreply 33May 13, 2023 3:08 AM

R26 he looks totally fine , btw. Fat and happy. He must have genes of Teflon.

Maybe he was staying in because of COVID - it’s not a joke when you’re an old fat fuck - who’s also a lifelong smoker.

by Anonymousreply 34May 13, 2023 3:08 AM

R34: Someone on Twitter commented that after seeing opening night, 2021, he skipped the entire Russell Westbrook Experience 😆

by Anonymousreply 35May 13, 2023 3:32 AM

Oh, R32, I DID love it. As a child I **always** wanted the long suffering to be vengeful and they never were. The inssssatiably curious elephant’s child got his own back on his terrible family and my heart isssss glad.

And Jack was perfect.

THANK YOU.

by Anonymousreply 36May 13, 2023 3:46 AM

I’m glad you enjoyed, R36!

by Anonymousreply 37May 13, 2023 3:48 AM

I saw him and his handsome young son out like two weeks ago. He looks fine. He doesn't look 85 or however old he is. We were at the same restaurant. He was polite but seemed annoyed people were trying to interact with him. Yes, he's kind of fat but seemed like he could step onto set of a film tomorrow and be fine.

by Anonymousreply 38May 13, 2023 3:50 AM

Ray is cute.

by Anonymousreply 39May 13, 2023 3:51 AM

Please don't tell me he's living with some young starlet.

by Anonymousreply 40May 13, 2023 4:34 AM

Jack should coffee klatch with DL fave Bridget 'Girth' Fonda.

by Anonymousreply 41May 13, 2023 4:35 AM

I wouldn’t have recognized Gene. He always had a round face and big thighs. He’s just a little old man now, and still driving!

by Anonymousreply 43May 13, 2023 6:42 AM

Gene looks awful.

by Anonymousreply 44May 13, 2023 6:44 AM

Gene looks like the cryptkeeper. Jack looks a lot better in comparison.

by Anonymousreply 45May 13, 2023 7:51 AM

[quote] Jack looks a lot better in comparison.

For that, we will have to wait till 2031 if Jack lives to 93.

by Anonymousreply 46May 13, 2023 7:57 AM

R46 well, Gene looked the same as he does now at 90, so let’s say 4 years.

by Anonymousreply 47May 13, 2023 10:16 AM

R29, thank you for sharing that story! I had never heard that one. Beatty was right! Nicholson and Diane Keaton were both superb in that movie.

Nicholson was also Woody Allen's first choice for the part in HANNAH AND HER SISTERS that eventually went to Michael Caine, and Nicholson would have been SO good in that.
