It's a California chain, and my area just got one. I love it. I go every week. Today I had the 'chicken' sandwich and iconic fries. I'm going again Friday to try another item.
I recall Amy’s opened fast food restaurants. Is it like that? In flyoverstan, you have to have food that makes people fat or they complain.

I'm going to assume all this plant based "power food" is all GMO, right? Remember when we were all screeching about GMOs?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 11, 2023 9:02 PM |
Never had

Where is it, OP?
I like Native Foods.

R1 I just looked it up. Amy's drive thru isn't vegan. R2 I don't know if it's GMO and I don't care. I only care that it's vegan. GMOs aren't going to be any worse for anyone than breathing Southern California smog air and ingesting microplastics and forever chemicals that are everywhere. R4 It's in Escondido (north of San Diego).

Looks like it's somewhat near a place I visit often (Redlands) so yay!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 11, 2023 9:23 PM |
R6 I just checked and the Redlands menu has combo meals. My location doesn't have combo meals yet. It's a partial menu of what the other locations have. Hopefully it's successful and they expand the menu. I need that chicken cesar salad, cheesecake and soft serve ice cream.

Nice to see they use plastic in their packaging like everyone else.

I'll be dead by the time anything like this comes to Podunk, Ohio.

The only fast food fries that can be called iconic are McDonald’s and, maybe, In n Out.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 11, 2023 10:11 PM |
What is lettcue? Is it like seitan?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 11, 2023 10:13 PM |
R10 They're called iconic fries because they're covered with 'cheese', iconic sauce and grilled onions.

I would love it, but if it’s only gluten-free. I’m vegetarian and gluten-free.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 11, 2023 10:22 PM |
Their only location outside of California is Las Vegas.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 11, 2023 10:35 PM |
I disapprove of veganism on moral grounds.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 11, 2023 10:37 PM |
The name isn’t very good.

I love vegetarian and most vegan food/s, but I looked at the menu offerings (pictures) and it honestly doesn't look all that appealing to me. I've been to Amy's many times and their food looks and tastes delicious.
That said, if they end up opening one up near me (I'm 2+ hours from Sacramento), I'll definitely try it and see how it tastes

Ooh, looks good! Wish we had that here.

R18 Are you in the U.S.? I think their plan is to eventually take it national. You might get one.

“I’m gluten free, should I eat the seitan?” “Yes go ahead! (fucking bitch eat your heart out)”

I recently had a birthday so I went today to redeem my free shake. I got strawberry. It was good, but very thick. Instead of sucking it through a straw I would've preferred to eat it with a spoon like a Wendy's Frosty. Next time I'll try chocolate and ask for a spoon.
They were having a special on their Nashville hot 'chicken' sandwiches ($7 instead of the normal $11) so I got 2 for today (lunch and dinner) and a California Burrito for tomorrow's lunch and dinner.

I like Native Foods a lot, but sadly their collapse is almost complete.
They have closed all but a few of their stores and will likely shut down in the next few months.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 15, 2023 8:28 PM |
R22 What's the reason for their collapse?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 15, 2023 8:29 PM |
R23 They've had bad management for years. Nothing else seems to explain it.....
Their restaurants are always pretty full. They shut a few locations down in Chicago and all of them were usually packed. It changed hands a few times, too. They're now saying they want to change to more of a pickup place....e.g. be in a food hall. Not sure if they'll make that change successfully.

I would definitely give it a try if we had one around here. Maybe someday. Until then. frozen veggie burgers from the grocery store.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 15, 2023 8:56 PM |
I loved going to Native Foods in Palm Springs! I hope that one didn't shutter.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 15, 2023 8:56 PM |
R26 Not yet. That one is the original, I think.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 15, 2023 8:59 PM |
I would love one near me.
