The awful courtroom sketches at the OP of the "Trump Indicted" threads remind me of how awful the genre is, and it always amazes me. You always see people on boardwalks and by the beach who can do much better than courtroom sketchers--can it really be that the courtroom sketchers make a good livng at their occupation?
These are some particularly ones. The one of Amy Winehouse in 2009 showing how short she is is especially out of proportion and bizarre. Couldn't they find a better artist?

Silly question. If TV cameras aren't allowed, why not just have a court approved still photographer taking shots of a few key moments and release those? Seems like it would be cheaper.
