Maybe the person who did was really trying to be elusive, but then a bunch of people started using that phrasing, and now we can't figure out what their motivation is, as people simply use terms that are popular in their milieu without giving them much thought. I knew that Josh would come out as something nebulous such as "part of the community" or even worse, fluid, but since he revealed he has a long term male partner he did better than I expected.
