It was MY character and performance that transformed that turgid three-hander into a complex family saga worthy of the Best Picture Oscar!! Forget Tandy, Freeman, and Dan fucking Ackroyd: I should have been nominated AND WON for "Driving Miss Daisy"!!!

I'm pretty good with 80s and 90s Oscar trivia but FJ didn't come to me right away. I literally had to go through each year in my head before I finally figured out it was Miss Daisy - which of course was the last best picture of that decade. Side note: I almost went with Terms of Endearment and Rain Man but I knew neither one of those originated as plays.

I could only think of Kiss of the Spider Woman and Children of a Lesser God, but neither fit the criteria.

I also blanked on Miss Daisy for Final, which is ironic since Iloved that movie.

Not able to come up with anything else, I guessed On Golden Pond because it did win a few Oscars (which ones I couldn't recall) and has a small number of characters. I recalled there were more than three characters in the movie (I believe its six in the movie) but figured maybe a few of the movie characters were added when they opened up the play for the silver screen. But obviously I was wrong.

I guessed Amadeus, which was a play in the 1980s and a Best Picture winner in 1985, and F. Murray Abraham did win Best Actor. It falls apart after that: there were nine characters not three, and no other Oscar winners.

I thought of Children of a Lesser God also, R3.

Brian's suit did not look good on my TV. I wonder what it looked like in person. He comes across as gay, but clearly didn't get the gay fashion gene.

I also wonder if any of the PAs ever take contestants aside and tell them their clothes won't look good on TV. Well, actually now that I think about it, I guess the answer is No. If any of the PAs were giving out clothing advise, surely they would also talk to Mayim about some of the things she wears on screen.

Today was a very good game. I thought it was going to a runaway, but turned out to be rather close when it was all said and done.

I guessed Venezuela for Final. And I still think that's an acceptable answer. The boundaries for the Caribbean Sea include the northern coast of South America, and Venezuela is part of the northern coast.

There's that Jeopardy Masters tournament which starts on May 8 in prime time, but apparently Ken is hosting that rather than Mayim.

The Masters tournament features with Amy, Mattea and Matt plus Andrew He, Sam Buttrey and James Holzhauer.

The players will compete in various pairings throughout a three-week competition with 10 one-hour episodes featuring two games per episode.

It will air on ABC starting May 8 at 8 p.m. (EST). Will stream on Hulu.

I'm not a wagering genius by any means but the wagers for last night's FJ were really head-scratching. Maybe it's because poetry isn't my strong suit, but it made zero sense to me for Deb and Ben to bet all of their money. Deb didn't even try to cover Ben for second place, she just went all in. Also, the judges should have asked Deb to specify her Deschanel answer. Zooey has an older sister Emily, but Ken ruled Deb correct without asking her to clarify which sister. I must commend Ken on his consistently remembering to use "they/them" with the non-binary contestants.

It's one thing to say they/them while reading off the contestant's card during the introduction section. It's something else to remember to say they/them at the end of the game while determining who the winner is.

With everything else Ken has to keep up with in running the game, remembering someone's pronouns seems like something that could easily fall by the wayside.

R164, if he messes up they’ll just have him say it correctly and edit it in. A friend recently attended a taping and Ken taped several corrections (none related to pronouns) at the end of the show.

Monday seemed like an especially easy game to me. Was surprised at how many the contestants didn't guess at or guessed wrong. I also knew Stratego, "Strawberry Fields Forever," "She Love You," Goodwill ambassador and several others.

I live near I-25 so I knew Santa Fe right away. Didn’t have a clue about the other city. I thought about Austin, briefly, but it wasn’t right.

Interstates that run north/south are odd-numbered and ones that run east/west are even-numbered. It wasn’t a difficult question if you don’t panic.

R206 And I believe the lowest numbers start on the west coast and gradually increase to the east coast, where we have I - 95 (which runs through Boston and NY). So that would put I-25 closer to the west coast than what she guessed.

More dramatic episodes like season 4 finale "The Interview" dropped it entirely, and by the final season, nearly every episode was laugh track free.

Tuesday was a great game. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Final seemed especially easy to me. Surprised non of the contestants got it. But getting the right answer required knowing Magnum was filmed in Hawaii which apparently none of them did.

Because tonight’s Jeopardy episode was preempted by the NFL draft, I had to find it online. I’ve been successful of late by using Google and plugging in the full day and date. Even though Google pulls up the episodes on YouTube, going to YouTube and doing a search doesn’t necessarily direct me to the current day’s episode.

Sadly, adorable Eric got bested by a sometimes drag Queen from the DC area. Eric was cute, but generally in over his head; he was a potted plant for most of Double Jeopardy.

Shocked that none of the contestants got what I thought was an exceptionally easy FJ: President Ford in (1975), (so at the start of the Bicentennial), hung three lanterns in what space? Not sure how they all missed the Old North Church, which seemed very obvious.

I couldn't believe the ridiculous answers they were giving for 'Double Double Letters' . Didn't they understand the category ? Some of the answers they spat out (especially the green hair woman) didn't have any double letters in them.

Hannah had been pretty fast on the buzzer, but was no match for split-second Ben. I liked all three; Wendy seemed smart, but what a tough competition day.

Ben often has such a distasteful and condescending sneer on his face when he buzzes in.

The weird “raise the roof” thing he does when being introduced is annoying. He also has a strange affectation when answering questions he knows are correct. It’s like he draws out the moment or something. Words with an “S” sounds are delivered dramatically.

There’s also a lot of blinking.

That’s not necessarily true. The other night on Jeopardy Masters, both DDs in Double were $800 clues.

I like it when contestants stick with one category, lowest value clues to high, rather than jumping all over the board. I think that used to be more common, but I guess it could be a strategic disadvantage until the Daily Doubles have been found.

You also want to run up your score early so that when you do find the DD, you have money to bet.

I've been watching the Masters Tournament this week, so haven't had time to watch the syndicated show until now.

I caught up on all 5 of this week's episodes in one sitting! Major mistake! Jeopardy! is not a show to binge like that. Best savored one show at a time with some time between shows. It felt like a chore to get all 5 watched instead of a pleasant distract from my day.

Because I was watching this week's shows, I got 5 doses of Ben. He is impressive! A really good player. He is also annoying. I was really sick of him by the time I was watching Friday's show. Was rooting for him to loose.

I will admit, my fondest for Ben began to wane when he announced Elaine as his wife. He was coming off as gay before that announcement. But the raising the roof gesture and mouthing "Hey mom" is also getting old. Maybe if I had been watching him one show per day, I might react better to him, but 5 episodes in a row of Ben was 4 too many!

Ben's awkward attempts o be cool endear him to me.

I wish Ben was less timid with his bets.

Ben is even timid with his bets when he's sure to win even with the wrong response.

Matt Amodio said he's been living in Cambridge, MA for a number of years - and he couldn't get the DJ answer "Red maple trees' ? They are on every street in New England. There is probably one in front of his house.

Aside from the fact that mispronounced answers are frequently accepted, isn't the rule that if you pronounce an answer incorrectly but also correctly within the amount of time alloted for for the answer, you are ruled correct?

Why did Ben cross put “Benedict” only to write the exact same thing underneath it? It seems like even he knew there was some issue with the spelling.

R598, I'm thinking he realized "Benedict" wasn't quite right, so he crossed it out but then couldn't think of the correct spelling, so he just rewrote "Benedict."
