Chris Watts Murder House Sold; New Owners Try to Placate Spirits of the Dead

"We hope to honor you in this home you once called yours and to fill it with smiles as you did," they wrote.

"Thank you for making this a peaceful home. Peace and love [are] all we have felt since the moment we first walked through your door, because of you.

"We hope to have you alongside us on this new chapter!!!"

My vision is that it sinks into the ground like the house in Poltergeist.

by Anonymousreply 1April 3, 2023 5:21 PM

Y'know, sometimes it's better just to say nothing at all.

by Anonymousreply 2April 3, 2023 5:27 PM

Sha"nan's ghost will probably haunt them family by giving messages regarding Thrive which was the shady MLM she was involved in.

by Anonymousreply 3April 3, 2023 5:35 PM

If they get a Ouija board, the first message will be: “Hey hun! Want to be your own boss?”

by Anonymousreply 4April 3, 2023 5:42 PM

I wanted to say something about how this is the place where our beloved prince ate, shat, and spilled his precious loads. But I won't, out of respect for the mama and the tot. RIP.

by Anonymousreply 5April 3, 2023 5:55 PM

It’s ugly.

by Anonymousreply 6April 3, 2023 6:45 PM

The family will probably change up a bit in hopes of keep strangers away from rubbernecking.

by Anonymousreply 7April 3, 2023 6:53 PM

There is no way I would live in that house but I guess there was only one murder committed there, he killed his children offsite.

by Anonymousreply 8April 3, 2023 9:55 PM

[quote] The family will probably change up a bit in hopes of keep strangers away from rubbernecking.

Yes. They're moving the headstones, but leaving the bodies where they are.

by Anonymousreply 9April 3, 2023 9:59 PM

lots of sage for sure!

by Anonymousreply 10April 3, 2023 10:01 PM

LOL R4!!

Was it a foreclosure sale? Who gets the $600k?

by Anonymousreply 11April 3, 2023 10:07 PM

Sage is for amateurs. I would go hardcore with the frankincense, burned with charcoal. Carry that shit to every room while it's still smoking.

Also I burst out laughing @ r4 too.

by Anonymousreply 12April 3, 2023 11:52 PM

I would have gone mad in that ugly house, too, but I would have attacked the builder before my family.

Unless that bitch made me buy that shit shack.

by Anonymousreply 13April 4, 2023 12:09 AM

Apparently bought by a gay couple who hope to be visited by the spirit of Chris’s massive, throbbing member on a nightly basis

by Anonymousreply 14April 4, 2023 12:12 AM

by Anonymousreply 15April 4, 2023 12:14 AM

[quote] Apparently bought by a gay couple who hope to be visited by the spirit of Chris’s massive, throbbing member on a nightly basis

Next season of American Horror Story...

by Anonymousreply 16April 4, 2023 1:52 PM

Shit happens. More famous murder houses than this one get resold all the time. Who's living in the LoBianco house now? Who owns the John List house? What happened to the nurse dorms visited by Speck? Some get torn down like Gacy and Dahmer, but Dean Corll's house stood for almost 50 years before recently being demolished. Was it empty all that time? Chances are that at some point you lived at a place where death came violently (suicide, murder) or you're living there right now...

by Anonymousreply 17April 4, 2023 2:00 PM

R17 Yes but I don't know about it and I'm not trying to appease the undead on social media. Sha-nae-nae doesn't have her phone right now.

by Anonymousreply 18April 4, 2023 2:15 PM

Oh, I agree R18. Making a spectacle of it is at best distasteful. I don't believe in ghosts, but if I did I would want them to murder those new owners. I just meant the notion of living somewhere with a murder history is not as rare as people might think.

by Anonymousreply 19April 4, 2023 2:25 PM

The brown is horrid but I'm not superstitious so I would buy somewhere where someone was killed if it was a good price (ghouls coming to view it would be a turn off). Their comments do sound like reframing and trying too hard though.

by Anonymousreply 20April 4, 2023 2:27 PM

I could never sleep there knowing how he was framed. It's the Miscarriage of Justice House!

by Anonymousreply 21April 4, 2023 2:58 PM

Pretty much no-one thinks he was innocent though. I don't know how someone would have known that random, isolated place the kids and mother were otherwise.

by Anonymousreply 22April 4, 2023 3:01 PM

Could not pay me to live in a murder house.

by Anonymousreply 23April 4, 2023 3:13 PM

Turns out the psychopath and the wife were on the verge of bankruptcy in addition to being sued by their homeowners association.

Financial disaster is when psychos fall over the edge since they can't pretend any more that they are successful. Studies show that straight married men who are struggling financially are the most likely to have affairs, as Watts did. The next step, if you're a psychopath, is to murder everyone who is associated with your failure.

Like R23 you couldn't pay me to live in that house or in Colorado for that matter.

by Anonymousreply 24April 4, 2023 3:21 PM

“It works! 🤡” “Not for much longer…”

by Anonymousreply 25April 4, 2023 3:34 PM

[quote]Who owns the John List house?

It burned down a year after the murders, although there's another house in its place.

by Anonymousreply 26April 4, 2023 3:53 PM

Was the Tiffany window in the John List house salvaged?

by Anonymousreply 27April 4, 2023 6:34 PM

Spirits and ghosts may or may not exist.

Macabre living nutbags who will make your home a tourist destination and target for all sorts of crazy (including wanting to cleanse the house and help spirits "move on") definitely exist.

I wouldn't buy a home like this simply to avoid the lookie-loos.

by Anonymousreply 28April 4, 2023 6:58 PM

Logically, there is no reason for anyone not to live there, but I wouldn’t want to find myself walking those halls after midnight.

by Anonymousreply 29April 4, 2023 9:10 PM

[quote] "I would have gone mad in that ugly house"

I came to make this comment. The house is hideous. Not QUITE as hideous as the acts committed inside it. But close.

It should be torn down and monument should be built warning people of the dangers of getting involved in an MLM.

by Anonymousreply 32April 4, 2023 9:59 PM

You don’t EVER try to make contact with ghosts. You pretend they’re not there.

by Anonymousreply 33April 4, 2023 10:06 PM

Only Shannan was murdered in the house. The girls rode with their mother's body to the worksite where they too were murdered and stuffed in the vats.

by Anonymousreply 34April 4, 2023 10:16 PM

My name has an APOSTROPHE!!

by Anonymousreply 35April 4, 2023 10:21 PM

Any truth to the rumor that in the witching hour this song can be heard throughout the house?

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 36April 4, 2023 10:42 PM

ghostly Shan'anigans plague the home.

by Anonymousreply 37April 4, 2023 11:03 PM

Is the house as bland and ordinary looking on the inside as Chris was on the outside?

by Anonymousreply 38April 4, 2023 11:29 PM

Should have razed it and planted some trees with a pond.

by Anonymousreply 39April 5, 2023 12:52 AM

R4 I thought it was going to be something like "Want to lose 100 pounds, ask me how."

by Anonymousreply 40April 5, 2023 12:58 AM

by Anonymousreply 41April 5, 2023 1:41 AM

I have a serious question. I don't remember how much (if any) blood spill there was from the wife - would stuff like that still show up under black light, or whatever the hell they use? I guess I'm asking in general - not just about Watts - if you buy a house in which someone was murdered, even if they clean it thoroughly, would remnants still be visible under that special light?

by Anonymousreply 42April 5, 2023 1:48 AM

Chris Watts is hot, I would be happy to offer a conjugal visit for him.

by Anonymousreply 43April 5, 2023 3:00 AM

I remember finding subreddit where people worshipped this son of a bitch. Just adored him. Murders were like something unsignificant in brilliant life of adorable gentlemen. The weirdest thing.

by Anonymousreply 44April 5, 2023 3:55 AM

R44 On DL too.

by Anonymousreply 45April 5, 2023 8:17 AM

It’s crazy. There is nothing attractive about that murderer.

by Anonymousreply 46April 5, 2023 9:05 PM

Rumor has it you'll find "THRIVE!" written on the bathroom mirror after you get out of the shower.

by Anonymousreply 47April 6, 2023 12:36 AM

Who are these crazed scum suckers attacking our Chris. Get the fuck out of here with that negative bullshit.

by Anonymousreply 48April 6, 2023 12:50 AM

Someone with a name as stupid as "Shan'ann" being murdered is not a great loss.

by Anonymousreply 49April 6, 2023 12:53 AM

R49 She didn't pick her name...

by Anonymousreply 50April 6, 2023 11:29 AM

A new color would improve the appearance a lot.

by Anonymousreply 51April 6, 2023 11:53 AM

Chris Watts (without beard) has one of the ugliest mugs I have ever seen.

His lips were one of the original/trademarked "Old Lady Mouth Syndrome".

He is hideous.

by Anonymousreply 52April 6, 2023 12:09 PM

R52 We can't be talking about the same person.

by Anonymousreply 53April 6, 2023 12:12 PM

R53- Look at his lips-

Beady Eyes

He is below average without the beard.

AND A TRIPLE MURDERER OF HIS OWN FAMILY!

by Anonymousreply 54April 6, 2023 12:24 PM

Let’s hope the spirits go off to haunt the corrupt police dept and zero on the left injustice system staff that created the Castle Rock vs Gonzalez case, and enabling that case to happen. Chris was physically attractive but very evil. His mother encouraged his horrific crimes as well.

by Anonymousreply 55April 6, 2023 12:41 PM

He should have blamed the thrive patch.

by Anonymousreply 56April 6, 2023 7:47 PM

He really shouldn't have confessed to the murders. A jury would never have convicted someone so attractive.

by Anonymousreply 57April 6, 2023 10:41 PM

[quote]Apparently bought by a gay couple who hope to be visited by the spirit of Chris’s massive, throbbing member on a nightly basis

His member is still alive.

by Anonymousreply 58April 6, 2023 10:56 PM

I have to admit, I have seen pics of Chris without the beard and a little on the chubby side where he didn't look so great, But in later photos with the beard, he was hot!

by Anonymousreply 59April 7, 2023 1:18 AM

My brother lived three doors down murderer Chris Coleman, who killed his wife and two little boys in 2009. It was a very nice suburb, with all the homes (which were in the $250K or so range back then) were ringed around a small lake.

After the trial, the community wanted the house torn down, especially since Coleman had spray painted shit like "I TOLD YOU SO" all over the walls. But it was left standing, and finally was put up for auction. Not one bidder showed up. Someone eventually picked it up for $160K but it sat empty. It is now listed on realtor.com for $310K but is also described as "off market." 2854 Robert Drive, Columbia Illinois 62236.

My brother, who worked for Anheuser Busch, was transferred to Minnesota shortly after the murders.

You couldn't give me the Chris Twat house for free. What horrible vibes must be there!

by Anonymousreply 61April 7, 2023 1:50 AM

My aunt did travel nursing some years back. Depending on the contracts and housing policies of hospitals, she sometimes lived in apartments, condos, or rental houses. She said there was one rental house and a condo that had bad vibes/energy. She wondered if murders or suicides occurred in them.

by Anonymousreply 62April 7, 2023 2:35 AM

R62, was there any paranormal activity? Do tell.

by Anonymousreply 63April 7, 2023 5:16 AM

Do you guys realize you've probably stayed in a hotel room in which someone died? Ghosts aren't real. House just needs a makeover and a very thorough smudging.

by Anonymousreply 64April 7, 2023 9:14 PM

R64 Why bother smudging if the ghosts aren't real?

by Anonymousreply 65April 8, 2023 2:24 PM

Carpets, carpets everywhere !

by Anonymousreply 66April 8, 2023 2:29 PM

It's somewhat random how some murder houses get demolished but others still stand. A flat where Dennis Nilsen killed and chopped up at least three men is still there and lived in. It was valued at £375,000 in 2020 but only sold at £285,000 because of what happened there (that's a big discount). Other homes get demolished.

by Anonymousreply 67April 8, 2023 2:36 PM

R67 - Well, I hope that at the very least the building was replumbed. (Shudder)

by Anonymousreply 68April 8, 2023 2:49 PM

R68 Yeah, I'm thinking that it's probably only still there because it's London (prime property) and other people live in the house so that makes it complicated to raze down. Meanwhile the Ian Huntley house, the Fred and Rose West house and many others have been demolished.

by Anonymousreply 69April 8, 2023 2:57 PM

The problem with London horror houses is well covered by "Last Night in Soho". There's not enough sage in the world.

by Anonymousreply 70April 8, 2023 3:22 PM

$600,000 for that ugly monstrosity?

by Anonymousreply 71April 8, 2023 3:26 PM

R71 This seems like so much money for a really ugly house with a really ugly history. The interior is just creepy. The new lady must feel at home in the spirit realm. She is in touch with and has made peace with Sh'a'noolie. Props to the realtor.

by Anonymousreply 72April 9, 2023 2:45 PM

That huge dark basement is the stuff of nightmares. Can you imagine hearing a noise in the middle of the night and having to go downstairs and walk into that empty black space?

by Anonymousreply 73April 9, 2023 2:55 PM

R73 It's okay, he killed her upstairs.

by Anonymousreply 74April 9, 2023 3:06 PM

hat house will always have horrible ibes.

When I was young I would deliver newspaper bundles to the delivery boys at night. There was one house I just hated delivering to. I always felt that demons or something would jump out of the bushes at me. I would throw the bundle hoping it would reach the porch.

One night I got my list and that house was no longer on it. I asked if it was a mistake or if I would no longer be delivering there. They told me that the 12 year old that did the deliveries had shot himself in the head with a shotgun.

A few years later a friend was looking at a house to buy and asked me to go with her. As soon as we pulled up I said Oh no, not this one as it was this house. You can't buy this one. Fortunately her 8 year old daughter told she didn't like the house at all and I knew she could feel "it". She didn't buy it.

[quote]Not every hotel has a Bob Saget as a customer!

But it has a SpongeBob.

by Anonymousreply 85April 11, 2023 7:01 PM

R84 - There's likely a dead, runaway prostitute ghost in every motel room on a busy interstate highway... If you smell something funky, look under the bed.

by Anonymousreply 86April 12, 2023 12:25 PM

R86 But I'm not buying the motel and tweeting at the dead prostitute.

by Anonymousreply 87April 12, 2023 1:10 PM

How do explain this to the kids? It's all over social media. There was a brutal bloody agonizing murder right here in your home and your parents picked this place. Nighty-night.

by Anonymousreply 88April 12, 2023 1:12 PM

R88 I would just tell my (hypothetical, I will never have kids!) kids that it's silly superstition, that people die all the time and that ... most importantly I (hopefully) got a great discount on the property because of other people's silliness in believing in ghosts, bad juju, etc.

by Anonymousreply 89April 12, 2023 1:15 PM

R89 Their imaginations are so strong. They'll watch horror movies. It will fuck them up one way or another. It's a bad idea, not worth what ever they're saving which looks like nothing. Children are hard. Who wants more nightmares, bedwetting, crying and dysfunction?

by Anonymousreply 90April 12, 2023 1:34 PM

R90 Think you'll find that it's adult humans who are way more affected by death than kids are. Kids just move on.

by Anonymousreply 91April 12, 2023 1:36 PM

R91 Nobody's forgetting about this. Little fuckwads will paint pentagrams on the doorstep and have seances in the backyard. Their peer group will NEVER let them forget it. They'll be celebrities for it and go home to a murder scene. These kids will come out of it fucked up.

by Anonymousreply 92April 12, 2023 3:23 PM

The murder that took place in the house itself is (sadly) not unusual enough to warrant such outlandish behavior. Had the children been murdered there, it would have been another story, in my opinion.

by Anonymousreply 93April 12, 2023 7:48 PM

R42 No blood was spilled. I believe Shanann got a combination strangling/smothering.

by Anonymousreply 96April 12, 2023 11:39 PM

by Anonymousreply 97April 12, 2023 11:45 PM

R97 How creepy to hear any sound at all after dark.

by Anonymousreply 98April 12, 2023 11:47 PM

by Anonymousreply 101April 13, 2023 4:49 PM
