How do most people find jobs nowdays?
Serious question.
In the past, people used "want ads" or classified ads in the newspaper.
But those don't exist anymore, and there's no ONE place most people can go to when looking for a job.
And lots of supposed job seeking online sites are bogus or not patronized by reputable companies.
So where's the best place to look for a job now?

Indeed.
Also through company websites and through your LinkedIn network.

Oh, god. Not Linkedin.
I hate that site. It has so many useless and empty profiles.
[quote] Also through company websites
So basically, you have to know exactly what company you want to work for?

Where do people find all of these Work From Home jobs that I hear so much about on Datalounge?
Reading through threads here, you'd think that there's a major Work From Home national job fair where you all found your jobs.

Resumes? Been a long time since work (retired). Be careful what you put on your social media...I think employers look into that.

Don't rely on indeed it is filled with mostly lousy companies with high turnover rates. If you get hired through indeed there is a possibility you will be back to using it to find a much better job within a few months.

I'm a freelance writer and can't find any legit online writing jobs, even from "reputable" sites. You can do the work, but rarely get paid.
You could give REV a try, but the pay is a pittance. Transcribing audio files and writing captions for videos.

LinkedIn to find them, use company website to apply. Do not use the linkedin easy apply function.
