Rupert Murdoch Calls Trump ‘Deranged’ and ‘Bat Hit Crazy’ in Searing New York Post .

The Rupert Murdoch-owned New York Post wrote a scathing editorial on Friday about Donald Trump, with a cover headline that calls the former president “deranged” and “bat hit crazy.”

The editorial centers on Trump’s past behavior and reaction to the current real possibility of indictment in the criminal case he’s facing in New York related to hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels, with Trump warning of “death and destruction”

Rupert Murdoch is also a bit deranged

by Anonymousreply 1March 26, 2023 12:10 PM

I thought NY Post was a rag that couldn't be trusted to tie their own shoelaces? Why are you quoting them now?

by Anonymousreply 2March 26, 2023 12:11 PM

OP, learn how to link properly.

by Anonymousreply 3March 26, 2023 12:11 PM

Aww, poor Murdoch. He can't control Trump or the fatso's cultists.

Such a shame that no matter how much money he has, and how much media he buys, he can't be the kingmaker and puppeteer he really thinks he is.

Dominion has done us a public service by exposing how weak and pathetic this sack of shit and bones is.

by Anonymousreply 4March 26, 2023 12:12 PM

The NY Post has been anti-Trump for some timer now. Also the WSJ. They want a sensible Republican in, like De Santis, and see Trump as a spoiler leading to a continued Democratic regime.

by Anonymousreply 5March 26, 2023 12:14 PM

Yes, Murdoch gets that with Trump the GOP is in danger of becoming a rump party (pun sort of intended) that has the support of around 20% to 25% of the population while permanently losing all of the more educated suburban Republicans (Bush-Romney types)

At the same time, they realize that Trump's base is who watches Fox News and reads the Post, so they have to strike a balancing act

by Anonymousreply 6March 26, 2023 12:20 PM

Wow. Good for Murdoch. Maybe he’s started to see the error of his ways.

by Anonymousreply 7March 26, 2023 12:27 PM

Girls, girls... you're both traitorous cunts!

by Anonymousreply 8March 26, 2023 12:33 PM

Murdoch was more than happy to use Trump as an agent of chaos to further his on self-serving agenda.

I hope he gets slowly mauled to death by a group of angry koalas.

by Anonymousreply 9March 26, 2023 12:40 PM

The kettle calling the pot black. Murdoch is the most responsible for inflicting this destructive mentally ill monster on this country.

by Anonymousreply 10March 26, 2023 12:41 PM

Somebody hit Trump with a bat and he went crazy?

by Anonymousreply 11March 26, 2023 12:43 PM

Makes as much sense as anything else coming from Murdoch’s propaganda machines.

by Anonymousreply 12March 26, 2023 12:45 PM

That boy knows what he did to deserve this!

by Anonymousreply 14March 26, 2023 12:46 PM

So what about Fox news and their worshipful coverage of this fucking gasbag?

by Anonymousreply 15March 26, 2023 12:47 PM

Didn't the post endorse him in the past election cycle? What has changed? They knew of all his past transgressions then.

by Anonymousreply 16March 26, 2023 12:51 PM

DeathSantis is the fascist flavor of the month, R16.

by Anonymousreply 17March 26, 2023 12:53 PM

R13..

by Anonymousreply 18March 26, 2023 12:54 PM

Covid showed the greedy sociopaths that incompetent governing is not just bad for business but can be really, really bad for business and the exploitation machine. Murdoch can’t have his earnings toyed with by Trump’s cultists anymore.

by Anonymousreply 19March 26, 2023 12:55 PM

Bad for business? Corporations raised the prices on almost everything and continue to get customers (even though everybody botches about it) -- how has that been bad for business?

by Anonymousreply 20March 26, 2023 1:12 PM

- bitches -

by Anonymousreply 21March 26, 2023 1:13 PM

That is the scramble to compensate. Greed doesn’t like to be reactive. That is what they pay the government to do for them.

by Anonymousreply 22March 26, 2023 1:16 PM

Maybe this effort will unintentionally damage both Trump and Murdoch.

by Anonymousreply 23March 26, 2023 1:17 PM

This is hilarious.

by Anonymousreply 24March 26, 2023 1:19 PM

FOX may think DeSantis is the new belle of the ball, R17, but mega-donors are having cold feet.

NOW Murdoh and the NY Post are against Trump? After propping him up and publishing his lies for 8 years?

by Anonymousreply 26March 26, 2023 1:29 PM

*Murdoch

by Anonymousreply 27March 26, 2023 1:30 PM

R26- Yes and I wonder if the Dominion lawsuit isn't why.

by Anonymousreply 28March 26, 2023 1:32 PM

Murdoch & Co. helped create Trump the political candidate, now let them stew for a while in their own creation.

by Anonymousreply 29March 26, 2023 1:33 PM

Money is always the bottom line, R28, sure. But he can't have it both ways.

by Anonymousreply 30March 26, 2023 1:34 PM

R30- Yes, you are right about money, but this lawsuit has made them all look very bad. Murdoch must resent trump for most of it.

by Anonymousreply 31March 26, 2023 1:37 PM

Again, R31, you reap what you sow.

by Anonymousreply 32March 26, 2023 1:39 PM

Life and death ain't fair.

I was closely related to, and knew so many good, decent people who died in their 40s and 50s.

And yet these two agglomerations of malevolent, gelatinous, greedy, shit-cells haven't yet dropped dead.

by Anonymousreply 33March 26, 2023 1:39 PM

If Murdoch didn't allow his talk show hosts to bray about voter fraud, there would be no Dominion lawsuit.

by Anonymousreply 34March 26, 2023 1:40 PM

R34- Schadenfreude.

by Anonymousreply 35March 26, 2023 1:41 PM

Interesting how Dems knew that Trump was wacko from the beginning. Finally the right is saying so and we’re supposed to be surprised?

by Anonymousreply 36March 26, 2023 1:43 PM

R36- They are turning on him because they can not control him and he has zero loyalty. He will throw any one of them under the bus in a heartbeat. We all knew how he was years before he ever ran for office. Why these supposedly rich and successful people supported him knowing what he is has to be greed.

by Anonymousreply 37March 26, 2023 1:49 PM

Listen you destructive old bitch, YOU stuck your dick in Orange Crazy, YOU kept plowing Orange Crazy even when you knew he was a bunny boiler and his fans were no better than cockroaches. Guess what that means, old man? YOU should ride that sack of rabid rats down the shitter while the rest of us go free, as we didn't ask for any of it.

by Anonymousreply 38March 26, 2023 1:51 PM

R7- That posted in the wrong thread, my apology.

by Anonymousreply 39March 26, 2023 1:55 PM

What do you think is really going on? Are the corrupt elites and the media actually worried about how deranged and dangerous he is now? Look at how Putin has nearly destroyed Russia. Trump isn't as stable as Putin was. Are these treacherous mf'ers a bit afraid now? Or no?

by Anonymousreply 40March 26, 2023 2:02 PM

The good die young R33.

by Anonymousreply 41March 26, 2023 2:12 PM

R40, Trump is a loser. He keeps tanking the Republicans. They only barely took the House the last time and the fragility of McCarthy's coalition means that Trump's supporters are wasting time doing nothing but Trump things. People like Murdoch want "normal" Republicans back so that they can get back to looting the country.

by Anonymousreply 42March 26, 2023 2:18 PM

I love all of it. Dump turns everything and everyone he touches into shit. That now includes Murdoch and Fox.

I love every second of it.

by Anonymousreply 43March 26, 2023 2:20 PM

He is a conundrum for the GOP in that they realize that if his supporters turn against them, they're fucked... but at the same time, they're also losing an equally large number of suburban voters, possibly forever.

And only Cheney, Kinzinger and occasionally Romney have the guts to stand up to him.

by Anonymousreply 44March 26, 2023 2:21 PM

And I love it, R44.

by Anonymousreply 46March 26, 2023 2:24 PM

Also, re: Murdoch, the WSJ coverage of his rally was very funny - reporters pick which quotes they use and this was no accident:

"Bobbie Swinford, 48, shielded herself from the sun with a blue hat that said “Trump 2024—he will be back.” The Whitney, Texas, resident said... “Trump stands for what America wants, [bold] he’s business savvy and he has great relationships with foreign nations, which is what we need,” [/bold]

Bolded for emphasis, but the reporters clearly were laughing to themselves over the notion that Trump has "great relationships with foreign nations"

Okay, maybe Russia and North Korea...

by Anonymousreply 47March 26, 2023 2:25 PM

...and business savvy?? He's the king of deadbeats and bankrupcies (sp)...

by Anonymousreply 48March 26, 2023 2:27 PM

If they think it's true, it is--for them. They choose to think whatever they want in order to justify their devotion to the man propped up by Murdoch and his minions.

by Anonymousreply 49March 26, 2023 2:30 PM

R47- I do not know how the reporters keep a straight face. " He has a great relationship with the world's most brutal dictators!"

by Anonymousreply 50March 26, 2023 2:31 PM
Rupert Murdoch Calls Trump ‘Deranged’ and ‘Bat Hit Crazy’ in Searing New York Post .

I think we can be pretty certain that Rupert himself did not write the editorial.

by Anonymousreply 51March 26, 2023 2:33 PM

Bat hit?

by Anonymousreply 52March 26, 2023 2:35 PM
Cruz won his second term to the Senate by defeating O'Rourke in the 2018 midterm election and later co-authored a proposed bill that would limit senators to two terms. Cruz recently stated he would seek a third term.

Exactly one of the many, many reasons I hate each and every one of these scumbags.

by Anonymousreply 54March 26, 2023 2:38 PM

Why, they almost sound as if they are tired of kissing his fat orange ass! 😁

by Anonymousreply 55March 26, 2023 2:53 PM

Murdoch is shoving all his chips in for DeSantis the Deranged.

I've been criticized here for predicting this, but I'm standing by my prediction that DeSantis' "appeal" stops at the Florida border.

Those cruel, cheap, stunts he's allowed to pull in Florida are an example.

He sent armed police with video cameras to humiliate, and round -up, poor, unarmed, orderly citizens who believed (because they were told they could by Florida officials! ) they could vote, and did so.

DeSantis is the Master of Interstate Hwy 4 Type of Political Stunts; akin to the illusions of Disney World and Universal Studios.

That shit flies in Florida.

But it doesn't nationally, and DeSantis the Deranged won't figure out how to transition.

by Anonymousreply 56March 26, 2023 2:56 PM

I agree with you, R56. But I still think we need to fight our hardest against him and stop him at the border of Floristan.

by Anonymousreply 57March 26, 2023 3:06 PM

R57- He frightens me much more than Trump.

Many observers feel DeSantis ithe new Scott Walker R56

It's hard to know though, because of how the media game works.

At first all those "DeSantis is the new GOP king" articles were getting all the clicks... and then they weren't and now they've shifted gear to DeSantis can't get elected, he eats pudding with his fingers articles.

And he hasn't even declared his candidacy yet.

by Anonymousreply 60March 26, 2023 6:00 PM

DeSantis will be president based on of the attention he's getting. Just like Scott Walker became president when the golden boy from WI was the "it" girl.

DeSantis is a little bitch with a terrible speaking voice who clearly won't be able to handle journalists outside of his bubble. He already fucked up with the Ukraine nonsense and Trump's flying monkeys will never turn on their orange witch and support DeSantis. Republicans are primarily rotten to the core. I can't think of a single elected Republican with any decency. Even Mitt teeters on the edge. And the ones who elect them are simply not good people. As I've said countless times: The stupidest person to ever run for president got the nomination of the Republican Party the moment he was openly hateful. That's the moment they gravitated to Trump. When he targeted minorities, that was the moment he became their king. Just like when Karl Rove used McCain's "black child" to get Dubya the nomination. That's why you don't pull the "identity politics" bullshit with Democrats. Only the GOP uses hate against races or religions to get the support of their voters. Someone like MTG or Boebert or Tuberville, could never get elected to Congress if the GOP actually had standards -- and all three have engaged in racist/bigoted narratives. Vile people.

by Anonymousreply 61March 26, 2023 6:11 PM

Lindsey Graham is about to get some well deserved karma.

by Anonymousreply 62March 26, 2023 6:15 PM

Marjorie Taylor Greene, at the Waco Trump Rally, just called to end the "Republican party" of Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell.

by Anonymousreply 63March 26, 2023 6:17 PM

Can someone explain to me how R61 feels about Republicans? It's very unclear from their post.

by Anonymousreply 64March 26, 2023 6:18 PM

DeSantis's current support seems to come from "Last Ditch Republicans" -- the ones who are smart enough to realize that Trump will destroy the party and relegate it to minor league status. They're not quite ready to become Democrats yet though and are hoping that DeSantis can provide them with the sort of GOP that will lure all those Bush-McCain suburbanites back.

You've also got the Evangelicals who feel that they got what they needed from Trump but now he's more of a problem than a solution and needs to be excommunicated and denounced.

The problem is they are greatly outnumbered by Trump' "flying monkeys" and support for DeSantis seems half-hearted and mostly based on the notion that he can somehow win over Trump's crazies.

by Anonymousreply 65March 26, 2023 6:24 PM

R64, just an FYI: my parents were Reagan Republicans and even though he started this mess, at least he had the decency not to be so overt in his KKK credentials as this current feedlot.

Frankly, I don't know what's more disgusting: That the GOP is now openly prejudiced or that they've allowed genuinely stupid people to be elected. Like fucking idiots who couldn't pass grade school. How do you allow a moron who doesn't even know the three branches of govt to become a senator? And you reject a brilliant civil rights attorney to get that meathead gym teacher elected. That's like going to a mechanic who doesn't know what a steering wheel is instead of the one who works on Ferrari.

And let's throw in the glaring hypocrisy of states like MS. A fucking shithole screaming about socialism yet dependent on it for their survival. And what is their current situation? Hand out for taxpayer money due to a tornado when they're not giving it to football meatheads

The GOP is a garbage fire party at this point. They shouldn't even be considered an American political party at this point. They're a terrorist group.

by Anonymousreply 66March 26, 2023 6:38 PM

R66- They should be on a list and treated like the national threat that they are.

by Anonymousreply 67March 26, 2023 6:41 PM
my parents were Reagan Republicans

Got it

by Anonymousreply 68March 26, 2023 6:59 PM
They want a sensible Republican in, like De Santis, and see Trump as a spoiler leading to a continued Democratic regime.

Too little, too late for that. Unless Trump is incapacitated, dies or goes to prison, he's going to be the Republican nominee. Now, the Republicans are seeing that malignant narcissists like him, while incredibly useful, are also incredibly dangerous. Trump is not going to play nice and DeSantis is proving to be no match for him. As popular as DeSantis is in Florida, he doesn't play well nationally. Besides his boring personality, he has to defend his extreme conservative track record in Florida.

by Anonymousreply 69March 26, 2023 8:41 PM

How the fuck is a book-banning, controlling, fascist asswipe like DeSantis considered "sensible" ? There's something wrong with you people who think just because Trump is a psycho, that a DeSantis isn't also an anti-democratic authoritarian. You've set the bar so low for Republicans that there no longer is one.

by Anonymousreply 70March 26, 2023 8:46 PM

De Santis can wait. He doesn’t need to share body blows with Trump. Just let Trump have the nomination and watch him go down in flames again. Four years isn’t long to wait for Trump to be a non issue.

by Anonymousreply 71March 26, 2023 8:52 PM

It's newsworthy because not only has the NY Post broken with Trump, it is calling him crazy. The same is true of Drudge. In the last two days he's called Trump "Psycho Don" and referred to "Wacko Waco." You don't have to agree with the politics of Murdoch or Drudge to recognize it's important that these influential right wing sites are calling Trump crazy.

by Anonymousreply 72March 26, 2023 8:55 PM

But FOX News is still giving Trump legitimacy, so that foreign trash is trying to play it both ways.

Why is he not deported?

by Anonymousreply 73March 26, 2023 9:16 PM

But, in all honesty, I *want* Trump to be their nominee, while inflicting as much damage as possible to the rest of the clown car of their "more respectable" candidates (DeSantis, Haley, Pence, etc) He's unelectable and the GOP in its current form needs to implode and rebuild itself from scratch.

by Anonymousreply 74March 26, 2023 9:16 PM

My friend Julie said she is voting for DeSantis in the Republican primary. Anybody but Trump she says.

by Anonymousreply 75March 26, 2023 9:50 PM
Murdoch & Co. helped create Trump the political candidate, now let them stew for a while in their own creation.

Let’s get real. All the news corps built trump up. He had 24/7 coverage. His fans were coddled and given plenty of media attention as well.

by Anonymousreply 76March 26, 2023 9:53 PM

How long will you be drive-by trolling on this thread, R77?

by Anonymousreply 77March 26, 2023 10:13 PM

Did you mean r75, r77?

by Anonymousreply 78March 26, 2023 10:16 PM

Sorry, wrong thread.

by Anonymousreply 79March 26, 2023 10:20 PM

Exactly what R76 said. The moment he started with the birther bullshit and the outright lies about sending investigators to Hawaii, the media should've shown a modicum of integrity and blacked him out. Frankly, he should've been made into a pariah for the decades of criminality and hate. He got to continue on with his fucking TV show and CNN, Joe and Mika and all of the rest of the so-called "liberal media," gave him an endless platform to spread his bile. No other candidate was given the free airtime that he was by the media. I expect it from a shithole like FOX, but the rest of them normalized that despicable buffoon.

by Anonymousreply 80March 27, 2023 1:46 AM

Over 24 hrs and Trump hasn't responded yet? I guess we'll see how serious Murdoch is once Fox's primetime airs this evening. Will they tone done the rhetoric? Not air footage of this weekend's Nuremberg rally?

by Anonymousreply 81March 27, 2023 4:24 PM
Bat hit?

r52, it was a pun. It had the picture of dump with the baseball bat on the cover and the headline was "BAT HIT CRAZY."
