Isn’t she the next logical choice? Who else would come close to Mercedes McCambridge and Colleen Dewhurst (“The Exorcist III”)? A woman who also sounds like a man. Kathleen fits the bill.

Kathleen Turner or Harvey Fierstein, same difference...

Harvey sounds like a gay man. Kathleen sounds male and female, the perfect quality for the voice of Pazuzu. Too bad everyone knows her name though. It’d be hard to separate her from the voice. Perhaps if she agreed to be uncredited… which didn’t work out well with Mercedes McCambridge.

Beverly D’Angelo’s voice is in MM territory these days. Her years of smoking have given her a deep baritone. I was watching her in the new tv iteration of True Lies and she no longer sounds like Ellen from the National Lampoon Vacation movies.

It won't work. Her voice is too recognizable.

Natasha Lyonne would fill the bill too.

Cathy Moriarty and her chain smoker's manvoice could also be a contender.

Can someone put Turner, D’Angelo, and Moriarty in a movie together?

Put their voices in a blender.
