Growing up in the 80s and 90s I remember San Francisco having a reputation as being a gay Mecca. Is that at all accurate today? Is there anything interesting about modern San Francisco?
Is Sam Francisco still a Gary city?

Gary Indiana let me say it once again
by Anonymous | reply 9 | March 26, 2023 2:10 AM |
It's more like New Delhi. Shitting in the street is commonplace. It was once a beautiful city.

Does Sam Francisco identify as black?
If he does, he's now eligible for 5 million dollars, full debt repayment AND a $1.00 house in San Francisco!

I’m genuinely embarrassed by how much I laughed at R9 and R11.

The gay scene never really recovered from the AIDS years.

According to John Waters in the short film at R7, there used to be a sex club in SF called The Hungry Hole that had gloryholes you stuck your entire ass through. 🤣

R10 I've lived in SF for the last 4 years, and the only shit I've seen is dog shit. I've also visited New Delhi, and SF is nothing like New Delhi.

Sam and Gary are good friends. Both have waterfront views. Completely different vibes.

So sad that Blow Buddies was a pandemic casually. Glad I checked it out one night in1998 during a vacation there
Same for Nob Hill Cinema.
And the Watergarden baths in San Jose closed in the pandemic, for good. I recall it had a nice pool during my 1998 visit.

No but very they/them. Gay club dancing has been replaced with cocktails, a fiery discussion about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and going home alone but fully satisfied.
