JLC in the current poll, but there are literally dozens of other contenders.

And yes, I would probably vote for Heather Langenkamp although JLC kicked some serious ass in the original Halloween.

I would argue against Sigourney Weaver's Ripley being seen as a scream queen/final girl. She was so much more than that from the first scene.

Laurie. I'm definitely a horror fan but I've never been able to get into the Scream for some reason. I think it's the whole "meta" thing. It just comes across as "look how much smarter we are than THOSE kinds of movies." And now it has 6 movies and a TV show with 3 seasons. And there is no doubt in anyone's mind there will be a Scream 7 with all the money it's making. I find it ironic they ended up making Scream a cash cow franchise Hollywood is milking to death like all the other slasher franchises they mocked and thought they were so much better than.
