And not using "Reported" in the titles shows this is another missed chance. The study on which it's based at least touches on some other issues, but not reporting. People who do not seek health care for STDs (or other health problems), out of shame, ignorance, hesitance to engage or social impediments about dealing with authoritative agencies go unreported, and often these groups are those who have much higher reported rates as well because of who DOES seek help in the group.

The statistics from the CDC at R23 tell the story and give a picture of what is actually going on.

Pointing out that the rate of chlamydia among black women is five times the rate of white women and nearly 7 times higher among black men than white men is not racist. Those are the facts.
