Bull fucking shit. She was holding her phone outside the window as she barreled down the hill just before the crash, intending to get it all on video.

by Anonymousreply 2March 24, 2023 11:21 PM

That's fucking BULL.

Fry this bitch.

by Anonymousreply 3March 24, 2023 11:23 PM

R2 if that is the case then this was definitely deliberate

Holding your phone up to do a video is not something you do in the course of a seizure. That said it does mention in the article she had a past history of seizures

But if there's evidence she had her phone out and was recording then she was not having a seizure

by Anonymousreply 4March 24, 2023 11:25 PM

Source r2?

by Anonymousreply 5March 24, 2023 11:27 PM

If she had a history of seizures, most states don't allow you to drive anyway.

by Anonymousreply 6March 24, 2023 11:28 PM

R2 Here ya go.

"Seizure" was also the defense of Dorothy Bruns, who drove through a red light and killed Ruthie Ann Miles' 4-year-old kid, her unborn child, and her friend's kid, and nearly killed Ruthie herself.

In Bruns' defense, she wasn't filming as she went, she did have a history of seizure disorder, and she had the decency to kill herself before trial.

Something tells me Ms Linton won't have the decency to do the same.

by Anonymousreply 9March 24, 2023 11:47 PM

I hope some of our top neurologists are studying this new form of seizure that forces you to stick your iPhone out the window to record your murder spree.

There's grand mal seizures, petit mal seizures, and then this brand new type: killem mal seizures.

by Anonymousreply 10March 24, 2023 11:49 PM

This nurse stopped taking her medication and immediately began having problems at work and in her personal life.

The biggest takeaway from this terrible incident is there is no cure for mental illness but treatment exists that help stabilize people.

by Anonymousreply 11March 24, 2023 11:52 PM

R8 you can clearly see her hand with something in it sticking out on the drivers side in the video. I wonder if they ever recovered the phone? The video may still be recoverable from the phone memory if so, which would be absolutely damning

by Anonymousreply 12March 24, 2023 11:53 PM

As crazy as this nurse is, there's plenty of people out there who are even crazier. One being a woman who pretended to be a friend of the nurse and gave interviews to the press!

by Anonymousreply 13March 24, 2023 11:54 PM

r12 Are they sure that's not the antenna on the roof of her car? The video wasn't very clear. And if that were the case, seems like the prosecution would immediately subpoena her phone to be investigated as evidence. Have they done that? Because that would be a smoking gun for them.

by Anonymousreply 14March 24, 2023 11:55 PM

Video recordings of that car speeding during the intersection are chilling. There was no way to avoid colliding with a vehicle traveling at that speed, the victims literally didn't see what hit them. It is shocking footage.

by Anonymousreply 15March 24, 2023 11:58 PM

Why is this on trial? The nurse is a Jamaica citizen. Deport her.

by Anonymousreply 16March 25, 2023 12:08 AM

there are a few conditions that produce episodes similar to seizures that causes limbs to extend but it's often to the point of dislocation, tearing, probable breaking. . . especially if they were in an accident. So, in all likelihood, she pulled it back just before impact.,. so, that's not probable. It would also suggest awareness.

but given her history with bipolar... and multiple accidents.

I would be apt to suggest this is the problem with being able to get people longterm help, let alone the difficulties in getting mostly functional adults committed.

Society tends to underplay what bipolar is these days... and the severity in which it can manifest.

Following the events before, It does rather sound like she had a manic episode that pushed into a psychotic break -- that likely speaks to intent.

And contrary to popular belief, you're still liable even if you're a nutter, a cripple, a gimp or whatever. . .

especially given her track history with the other accidents and other disputes.

by Anonymousreply 17March 25, 2023 12:11 AM

Jamaican citizen

by Anonymousreply 18March 25, 2023 12:12 AM

r18 ishe's an american citizen, asswipe.

by Anonymousreply 19March 25, 2023 12:15 AM

R14 its in the wrong place and too big to be a rooftop antenna. The Mercedes antennas are in the back of the roof above the back window and only a couple of inches high, colloquially known as a shark fin

That Mercedes was like a fucking tank. This bitch walked away while the cars she hit were totally destroyed.

by Anonymousreply 21March 25, 2023 12:34 AM

Let’s just get the He he name check out of the way now, shall we?

by Anonymousreply 22March 25, 2023 12:56 AM

[quote]Why is this on trial? The nurse is a Jamaica citizen. Deport her.

So you don't think her victims and their families are entitled to justice?

by Anonymousreply 23March 25, 2023 1:00 AM

r20 Fair enough. But how do we know it was a cell phone specifically, though? It's hard to tell what exactly it is, but it's definitely some type of object protruding from her vehicle.

by Anonymousreply 24March 25, 2023 1:05 AM

He he 🤭

by Anonymousreply 25March 25, 2023 1:12 AM

What amuses?

by Anonymousreply 26March 25, 2023 1:20 AM

It's going to be added to the 12th revision of the WHO ICD (along with MPox) as grand mal selfiezure and will also be added to the DSM 6 as a new cluster B personality i.e. social networks induced narcishistrionic personality disorder.

It's okay to just say cray-cray though.

by Anonymousreply 27March 25, 2023 1:22 AM

R24 that video is too unclear to know exactly what that was, but it is in the right location and size to be a phone held out the drivers window.

That phone if it was ever recovered would be the key piece of evidence, both in itself if found outside the car, and any video it may contain

by Anonymousreply 28March 25, 2023 3:30 AM

She has crazy eyes for days in r1

by Anonymousreply 29March 25, 2023 3:33 AM

Hope those nursing days are over.

by Anonymousreply 30March 25, 2023 11:34 PM

If a person has a history of seizures then they are not allowed to have a license.

by Anonymousreply 31March 25, 2023 11:39 PM

It was alleged early on that she was arguing with her boyfriend on phone just before the collusion and that she was threatening suicide, hence why she was holding the phone out to show him how fast she was speeding.

by Anonymousreply 32March 25, 2023 11:48 PM

An onlooker of the crime scene with no personal knowledge of the incident made that story up, r32. People are truly devilish. This nurse had dozens of prior traffic infractions and needed her driving license removed awhile ago

by Anonymousreply 33March 26, 2023 12:41 AM

[quote]Hope those nursing days are over.

HA HA HA HA HA! R30 to my office now for a Thorazine shot, you dizzy naive Nancy.

by Anonymousreply 34March 26, 2023 4:37 PM

I feel very strongly that access to a drivers license should be far more difficult, that drivers education should be a required part of public education beginning at least in the 9th grade, and that it should require some kind of regular testing and evaluation. But I can't really advocate for any of that when public transportation is so poor in the US. Whatever kind of suicidal or mental health episode could cause you to lose access to your guns or be prevented from buying them should immediately affect your drivers license too. I actually reckon that a lot of the extremely reckless drivers I see are just suicidal people.
