I lived in London in the 80s and British women were very attractive then. They were also almost all very slim. British woman have very fine boned features and small frames, so extra weight looks terrible on them. She is more physically active than I am and she eats tons of kale, chard, etc., that she grows herself. It makes me feel guilty that doctors do this. If they used calipers instead of scales and their eyes, they'd know better.

It's really remarkable how differently we are socialized to see Asian women versus Asian men in terms of beauty. I wonder where that came from. There is no other phenotypic group of features that is so polarized. I'm an American who lived in the UK and France for years. British women aren't style icons like skinny French and Italian women are, but they're miles better than your average American frau. In the US, actresses are girls who were told they were pretty in high school. In the UK, actresses are girls who go to drama school and do Shakespeare in repertory theatre.
