Fandom: The Wizard of Oz
Are you an Ozhead? I recently followed a few accounts who only post Wizard of Oz content and it's a niche I never thought I'd enjoy. (There's no place like home?)
People collect anything with the characters and geek out on all the details of movies, and books even. I learned there's even a whole book about when Dorothy's red slippers were stolen.
Do you still enjoy the Wizard of Oz? Makes me wonder why it continues to resonate with each generation. It's clearly not just for gays. Wonder if still popular with genZ.

The stage adaptation of the 1939 film is popular with high schools. There is even a youth edition for middle schoolers and younger. I would say there is *at least* one school production, annually.
This one just had theirs:

There’s was this guy on TikTok showing off his “Oz haul” of shitty made in China Homegoods and TKMaxx crap and it was profoundly sad. I was embarrassed for him vicariously because he obviously built his whole personality on this and spends every dollar he makes at his dreary Starbucks job on this worthless garbage, while still living in his parent’s basement.

Just search #wizardofoz and #homegoods on TikTok and you’ll get a slew of sad pathetic people who collect this crap.

Great movie but the editing sucked. When the apple tree starts throwing apples at Dorothy and the gay Scarecrow, for a second you can see Dorothy NOT in the ruby slippers but in what looks like army boots.
