Name some genuine triple threats!
Entertainers who can sing, AND dance, AND act. Are there any in the English-speaking world?
There are plenty of singer-dancers, and plenty of singer-actors, and I suppose there are dancers who did a bit of acting without singing. But is anyone out there genuinely good at all three?
Anyone outside of Bollywood, anyway.

Melissa Beth Miller! She's a quintuple threat, really - acting, singing, dancing, burping on command and proficient in Pig Latin!

Justin Timberlake.
I think he did fairly well in Alpha Dog and Black Snake Moan.

I don't count Ann-Margret as a triple threat. A triple threat should do all three equally well. A-M's singing was crummy.

The idea of a Triple Threat nowadays is less important because dancing is less important than it used to be. Films don’t have (luckily) long dance sequences anymore, even if they are musicals. And even the worst dancers nowadays can still be presentable with enough edits and takes.

Mitzi Gaynor and Gene Kelly were passable but not great actors.

The "acting" part of a lot of these triple threats seems dubious. Many of them are just a celebrity projections of themselves whatever they're supposed to be doing.
They can act that well enough not to look like they're in amateur theatricals, but they wouldn't be a threat to a real actor.

Jessie Buckley. I haven't seen her in the London Cabaret from last year, so I'm not sure if there's much dancing involved, but she sounds great on the cast recording, so she can at least do two of them.
Let's throw a bone to Alexis Smith who unlocked singing and dancing talents in middle age when she starred in Follies on Broadway. Bette Davis gave an interview where she expressed how shocked she was that Alexis could do all those things after never being given that many meaty roles during her studio system days.
Raquel Welch might not have been a great singer, dancer, or actor, but she could technically do them all to a competent level. That counts as something.

[quote] Frank Sinatra could sing, act and dance.
Sort of. He could sing better than anyone, of course, and he was a fine dancer; but he was lazy about acting and often refused to do multiple takes, and as a result, his acting suffered.

Meryl has quite a nice voice. She did all her own singing in (among other films) "Postcards from the Edge," "Ironweed," "Into the Woods," and, most memorably, "Death Becomes Her" (where she shows she can not only sing but belt).

R96 Doris wasn't much of an actress if you measure acting by how someone cries. She cried the way Mitzi Gaynor did - putting her face in her hands and shaking her head.

R61 - not Rita Hayworth. Her singing was always dubbed in production numbers. It's said that she sang with her own voice in one scene in Gilda and then later on The Carol Burnett Show.

R61 & R102: Rita wanted singing lessons, but her studio wouldn’t pay for them and didn’t give her the time she needed to learn on her own. The public didn’t know that her songs in the movies were dubbed. She was embarrassed when she was asked to sing by the troops at USO shows.
