Viola Davis' snotty crying has turned Oscar voters off!

I think in some ways Viola’s portrayal of Michelle Obama is coming back to bite her in the Oscar noms. She’ll be ok. My problem with people who try to change the system is that they want to change and get accolades at the same time. Keep making films about strong women, keeping giving a voice to minorities and the oppressed wherever you can, please do contribute to the variety and quality that is lacking in Hollywood at this time, but do it because you genuinely believe and want to be a part of the change. People will intentionally overlook things if the force behind it is acting like an entitled egomaniac. Allow others to organically give you your well deserved flowers instead of demanding them because you did x, y, and z, and accept that along the way you won’t always win, but that doesn’t mean your work didn’t open a door for someone else.
