Unless there was a fetal heartbeat stopped by the procedure (a big NONO to the Christians), the problem isn’t that she got this D & C, but that she was able to get it at all while some women are denied the same because the doctors in these anti-choice states don’t know what a stupid law, written by stupid politicians, tells them about how to provide care to women without risking their medical license. And that she supports these stupid laws.

I know this isn’t necessarily the best forum to ponder this, but how horrific must it be for a woman and her family to lose a wanted baby and be told they have to endure the horrific experience of delivering a dead or dying fetus in a hospital or at home because of these stupid laws and doctors who don’t know what they can and can’t do.

My sister is extremely pro-choice and had to have a D&C after a partial miscarriage that happened while she was home visiting our parents to announce that she was pregnant. She probably wasn't far enough along to tell the world, but she told the family. We were at a Chinese restaurant and she went to the bathroom and didn't come out for an hour.

She thought it was probably a compete miscarriage so she didn't want to go the hospital then and made an appointment for when she got home. But almost the day after she got home, she started getting sick and had to go to the ER. She didn't have sepsis (or they averted it at the ER) but she had to have a D&C.

She's one of those people that posted to all her friends back home (which is in the South) that if ANYONE ever needed help, she'd pay for the plane ticket and they could stay with her in a nice blue state so they could legally get an abortion.

But she doesn't say she had an abortion because she didn't intend to end an unwanted or dangerous pregnancy. It was a planned pregnancy There was no baby left to abort. Just some undeveloped tissue threatening her life.

No excuse for Jessa Duggar to support laws that would outlaw the procedure she had to have though. That is just straight up hypocrisy they is going to kill women.

I followed the Duggar subreddit for a bit a a while back and they were always talking about the tension between Jessa and her husband, that he seemed checked out and even depressed that he'd got stuck in something. And she's kind of annoyed with him and trying to hawk the family all the time (presumably for some extra money). The People article about the abortion/miscarriage was part of that.

Yeah, I think Jessa was considered the pretty one. To be fair, most of the girls are attractive. My favorite is Jana, the eldest.
