Chain restaurant with fish, taco and rice bowl dishes.
Have never eaten here before.....it's a chain but the menu looks kinda sorta good, and it doesn't seem to be super "fast food" ish. Is it decent, or is it not so great?
If you're not in California yeah. It's a little better than Chipotle I think.

It used to be quite good, but even before covid the food quality started going way, way down. Last visit was downright nasty.

I wish there were a restaurant called Marco Rubio's Ass. I'd eat there for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and midnight snack!

It used to be called Rubio's Fish Tacos, then it was Rubio's Coastal Grill, now I think it's just Rubio's. There's also have Wahoo's, a similar chain.

OP -- I haven't been in a few years, but, yeah it's decent for fast-casual Mexican. Honestly, if I were fortunate enough to still live in Southern California, I'd be going to mom & pop corner-shop taquerias before I considered a chain. I do recall their Baja-style fish tacos being pretty good.

It’s pretty good OP. It’s a staple here in SoCal. But it’s like one of those things the bigger these chains get it starts to be all about “which” one you go to. Quality doesn’t become consistent as they grow.
Think Chipotle with fish tacos.
