It's a good thing he's rich enough to afford all the PT and other medical care he needs so he can make a full recovery.

The more I learn about this guy, the more bizarre it is to me that he has a career in Hollywood other than being a house flipper.

I had enough problems with a fractured humerus, surgery, nerve damage, and what seems like never ending therapy. Over a year later, I'm still doing daily therapy which I can fortunately do at home. Seems like nothing compared to what Renner is facing. I wish him well because he's got a long, hard road ahead of him.

When I see his name I think of that porn guy Ron Jeremy for some reason. (I know it’s a stretch.)

I'm always open to the idea of celebrities lying about their embarrassing escapades, but I have to say that Jeremy Renner absolutely seems like the kind of guy who would run himself over with a snowplow.

I know we've made fun of him for many good reasons.....but I have a wee bit of respect for him fighting through his injuries and surviving all of that.

I think it's titillating to hear they gave him e-stim in the hospital. And it's the benchmark of 360° care to realize your patient may not be physically able to bust a nut on his own while recuperating. Diane should ask him if he will start doing it at home now.

I'm surprised by how good he looks (in terms of his physical condition, yes he is not classically handsome). It's only been a few months and he looks okay in shorts and a tshirt. I'll be interested to watch and see if they show him walking.

Of course, he's a millionaire and has top notch healthcare. If that happened to one of us peons, we'd be left to die with a box of bandaids and a handful of aspirin.

The number of family, friends, and neighbors rallying around behind him is very telling about what a great and well respected man he is. We should all be so fortunate to have a support system like Renner has. It's such an important part of one's recovery. Renner's sheer will and strength to carry on is just beyond amazing, and the progress he has already made is miraculous.

He also has the budget for top-tier care. The rest of us aren’t that lucky.

I'm an RN, and yes, the world is full of people with chronic pain, whose lives revolve around prescription pain medication. They're all physically addicted, and the opiates have taken over their brains, nothing much going on in their except "I need more opiates - MORE!", because even if you take away all the horrors associated with using illegal heroin or fentanyl, the addiction is still there.

I find him the textbook definition of "ugly-hot". He has terrible skin and it seems to be getting worse (he has the complexion of a heavy smoker combined with a history of bad teenage acne), but there is something attractive about him that I can't put my finger on. He was particularly handsome in his early career. He played Jeffrey Dahmer in a biopic in the early 2000s and was really hot in it.
