I really think he regressed as an artist. His first album was excellent pop rock. His second was fine but very commercial and bubblegum. The third was boring and too derivative. Robbo did have an edge. He would sometimes outdrink and outparty legit rockstars. Plus he was an absolute beer-and-footie lad, which is relatable and endearing to the British public.

My own take, he's a very "on purpose" kind of guy, but he doesn't do it in a sinister way or to be shocking. Here just seems to emulate things that he sees other people do or would draw other people (the gay male music consumer) to him. I mean, he seems kind of sweet and tender, like r34's clip seems kind of genuine, He's not doing it to get a reaction, but he *knows* the crowd will react like that.

The whole dress-wearing thing though, that just seemed really forced. I think in this case he was also trying to emulate past stars he's maybe admired, like I could see him looking at some gender- bending image of Bowie from the 70s and just thinking "that looks so cool!" and deciding to do it, without a self-critical eye.

Maybe the buttons popped out? But then again a good stylist would have a sewing kit on hand for emergency wardrobe malfunctions like this
