Susan Dey was a successful teen model who landed a role in a popular series, "The Partridge Family," with absolutely no acting experience whatsoever. That she was able to land another successful series, and one that was critically acclaimed, is actually quite remarkable. The earlier success took a toll on her emotionally and physically, leading to bulimia and anorexia. After "Law & Order," she probably took stock of her life and learned to be content with what she had.

In the early aughts, she turned 50. I think that had more to do with her fading from the screen than anything else.
She had a great run: 30 years, on top of her teen modeling. Susan Dey was quite successful.
