Another visit with hipster Brooklyn celebrities parading their bad taste. Who doesn't like their master bedrooms painted Pepto-Bismol pink with no windows and look like a hotel bed was moved out into the hallway?
Tasteful Friends: Take the AD Tour of the Brooklyn home of David Harbour & Lily Allen
by Anonymous | reply 199 | December 24, 2024 2:47 PM |
There went my crush on Dave Harbour.
If I lived rich like that, the last fucking thing I’d do would be advertise my excesses online.
I did love the wallpaper, though.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | February 2, 2023 4:21 AM |
Harbour really likes fussy floral carpets and rosey wallpaper. Takes away from his appeal.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | February 2, 2023 4:35 AM |
Atrocious. Hated it!
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 2, 2023 4:38 AM |
Hid wife's hair is awful.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 2, 2023 4:54 AM |
What with the windowless bedroom?
I guess DLers could turn it into a master dungeon or something?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 2, 2023 5:07 AM |
I hate the decor. But I love David Harbor. He's such a big goof ball.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 2, 2023 5:18 AM |
Looks like David Harbour is looking to sell another home!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 2, 2023 5:22 AM |
I love that living room, I LOVE wallpaper.
They’re very corny yuppies. As interesting as their careers are they seem like snobs I wouldn’t get along with in real life.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | February 2, 2023 5:22 AM |
It's a complete chick house. Ugh.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | February 2, 2023 5:38 AM |
They look like creepy swingers...
by Anonymous | reply 10 | February 2, 2023 7:10 AM |
No children?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 2, 2023 7:18 AM |
Their home smells like lavender.....
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 2, 2023 7:31 AM |
I like both of them separately but together they're super obnoxious. Since they got married, Lily has looked sort of of thin and sad in photos- like she regretted it but wanted it to work. This tour just confirms that they're not compatible.
1.) Go look at his 1st tour- the bachelor pad. Totally different look. The chintzy Granny aesthetic is ALL her, not him. There is no balance is this home which suggests that the relationship is imbalanced- she's conceding nothing.
2.) It also suggests she's unhappy because she's going for this *ultra British* nostalgic twee thing- in Brooklyn, where it's wildly out of place. It screams homesick.
3.) Watch her look at him when he's saying something he thinks is witty- she looks like she's trying hard not to punch him in the face.
4.) He has no idea and thinks they're doing great. The poor lamb.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 2, 2023 7:58 AM |
Lily has always been a miserable bitch. She’s too crazy and unstable to be in long term relationships and this one won’t last either lol.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 2, 2023 8:08 AM |
JFC no! Nothing about this place is nice. It looks like it was decorated with wallpaper and fabric off cuts. The bed is creepy. One pillow each and a flat cover that looks deflated.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | February 2, 2023 8:18 AM |
Other seem overbearing and exhausting.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | February 2, 2023 8:24 AM |
I had no idea they were a couple.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | February 2, 2023 10:20 AM |
Not impressed
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 2, 2023 10:27 AM |
I much prefer the house she had in the Cotswolds. I remember it being described as “deep within Cider With Rosie country” - which sounded gorgeous.
She definitely has an ultra-British taste in things…her (first) wedding reception was a “cricket tea”.
A few pics of the Cotswold house here:
by Anonymous | reply 19 | February 2, 2023 10:32 AM |
THAT IS AN OLD LADY’S HOUSE. Surely?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 2, 2023 10:38 AM |
Their whole thing reminds me of a Lifetime movie, where some deranged psycho fakes her own death, becomes an unassuming conservative type in a new town, marries the local everyman widower, and then shit goes real south, real fast. Complete with swan bathroom fixtures.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 2, 2023 10:54 AM |
I loved the house at first, the kitchen and the living room, but as the tour progressed the rooms got worse. That bedroom? That hideous "media room"? I think she may be the one with the money and yes, they do look miserable together. Two kids but they're hers from a previous marriage. There's hope; you might run into him at Branded.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | February 2, 2023 10:57 PM |
They live in Park Slop, Lesbian Central.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | February 2, 2023 11:11 PM |
R13 just broke shit down!
I wonder if that means I can sleep with David? Lord knows I'd let him decorate anything he wants, however he wants, as long as I get that dick. And maybe some limited spooning.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 3, 2023 12:23 AM |
For R24 even a thread about touring a home is an opportunity to discuss sex. Sadly DL is the closest thing he has to getting laid..
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 3, 2023 10:59 AM |
No, they live in Carroll Gardens, R23.
"Two and a half years after Lily Allen and David Harbour tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2020 — complete with an Elvis impersonator — the couple is opening the doors to their dream home in the tree-lined Brooklyn neighborhood of Carroll Gardens."
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 4, 2023 3:05 AM |
I guess he's the trophy husband with the quirky sense of humour. This marriage won't last.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | February 4, 2023 3:08 AM |
Who are these people?! Like them both, but they do not seem compatible as a couple. The tour was fun, but except for the kitchen, man-closet, and sauna, couldn't live there. He's handsome, but his love of floral wallpaper is a real boner killer. They only showed one bedroom. There must be more.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | February 4, 2023 4:06 AM |
There's a possibility they live at 381 Union Street, which is in Carroll Gardens, even though it's listed as a previous address.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | February 4, 2023 4:35 AM |
If they do live at 381 Union Street, they've made a big improvement over the previous owner, even though I don't like a lot of Allen's design decisions
by Anonymous | reply 30 | February 4, 2023 4:38 AM |
He's trying to be funny and likeable and it just makes him seem stupid.
Yes, I think the entire design was her idea. They seem like a mismatched couple.
That bedroom did look like something in The Overlook hotel (The Shining).
by Anonymous | reply 31 | February 4, 2023 4:52 AM |
I agree, R31. My guess is she has waaay more money than he has. Her song "Smile" was a big hit in 2006. To be honest, I've never heard of him. For some reason, they've decided to imply that he's really into the flowery wallpaper and that the design decisions were not completely one sided. I wouldn't be surprised if she chose 90% of the decor. Probably the only choices that he made were the look of his clothes closet and maybe the black powder room on the ground floor. I'll bet the only decision he made about the pink bedroom was that it would have no windows so he can sleep in.
Really hate that green sofa.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | February 4, 2023 5:04 AM |
Her hair is so unsexy, she must be confident she has him.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | February 4, 2023 5:05 AM |
A very mismatched couple. He's a clueless American himbo and she's a superior limey cunt with a Louise Brooks-style pageboy and horrible taste.
Both Harbour and Michael Imperioli are married to two pretentious bitches with ghastly interior design tastes. You know these men are beaten down when he only has a corner of an entire apartment or house he's allowed to decorate.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | February 4, 2023 5:11 AM |
This is Harbour's own taste. No "Masters of the Universe" and "Avengers" posters on the wall at the Brooklyn townhouse he shares with Ms. Allen.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | February 4, 2023 5:26 AM |
R35, thanks for posting that.
That tiny ponytail was tragic.
I think he had a designer to help with that apartment (at R35) as well (that stupid whiteboard and pencil on string in the foyer that he says he never uses). But, yes, that's probably closer to his own taste: "I like plants." Liking plants was probably the only thing he was sure about.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | February 4, 2023 5:38 AM |
The bathroom sinks at the Ritz Hotel in Paris have gold swans for decoration. I wouldn't be surprised if she chose that look but he's pretending that it was his decision.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | February 4, 2023 5:38 AM |
I like breathing. And cookies.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | February 4, 2023 5:39 AM |
He's very stupid, yes, R38.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | February 4, 2023 5:43 AM |
Gee R25. You sure put me in my place.
However will I go on?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | February 4, 2023 6:20 AM |
You're welcome, R36.
The little pony tail on top of his head really did annoy me too.
He did mention that he had an architect designer convert the two bathrooms into one.
His own taste isn't obnoxiously super macho but I really can't see him decorating his bathroom sink with gold swans spreading their wings. No flowery wallpaper in his old place. I have to say I hate both the lumpy gold couch in his old loft apartment and the green sofa in the townhouse
I actually like the guy. I hope he's happy in his marriage, especially since he now has kids, but I am worried.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | February 4, 2023 7:02 AM |
Lavender marriage.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | February 4, 2023 10:17 AM |
OMG all that giggling at his endless flat jokes.
I personally think it's a horrid house. Way too gurlie for a M&F couple. If only they had let a few rooms not look like an Alice In Wonderland nightmare. It doesn't looked lived in, everything looks brand new.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | February 4, 2023 10:46 AM |
& the people who buy it (for MILLIONS) are going to have to tear EVERYTHING out.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | February 4, 2023 10:47 AM |
Brownstones interiors are pretty narrow - with windows only on the short ends. In deeper buildings like this one the middle of each floor is almost always dark - you usually need to turn lights on during the day.
As someone who’s also loves to sleep in, the arrangement of a windowless bedroom that’s just for sleeping (in a part of the house that’s going to be pretty dark anyway), and using the well lit space at either end for other activities, makes a lot of sense to me. At my price point, most NYC Railroad Tenement apartments do just that.
However I would never use that bright space for a giant fucking bathroom & a frau “Glam Closet.”
by Anonymous | reply 45 | February 4, 2023 11:58 AM |
He's always screamed 'on the Spectrum' to me. In interviews he just fawns over every single person in showbiz. I bet he spends the whole day texting, tweeting and 'liking'. I think she's HIS trophy.

[quote]I bet he spends the whole day texting, tweeting and 'liking'.
LOL
You can tell his sense of humor doesn't really make her laugh, her giggles are forced - when she goes off him it's the thing that will irritate her most.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | February 4, 2023 2:37 PM |
Hate the booth seating with the dining room table.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | February 4, 2023 2:41 PM |
I hate every fucking thing
and that bedroom with now windows - you live in a great big house but sleep in a windowless closet? Don't they ever want to let in some fresh air. I like a dark bedroom too but a little light around the curtains when you wake up is essential. I once slept in a room with no daylight (windows looked out into the well - in NYC) it was like waking up on a night flight.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | February 4, 2023 2:46 PM |
What about the curtains around the island in the kitchen? They look like shit and are unsanitary.
The whole place is SO femmy for a str8 couple, it's almost bizarre. The whole place is done like a Victorian lady's bedroom, apart from the actual bedroom, of course.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | February 4, 2023 2:50 PM |
This is what happens when people with more money than they have taste or intelligence are allowed to live in an elegant old NY townhouse.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | February 4, 2023 2:50 PM |
“I just baked this loaf of sourdough — haha!”
by Anonymous | reply 52 | February 4, 2023 3:11 PM |
I don't think anyone's ever cooked a single thing in that kitchen. They say there are children living there?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | February 4, 2023 3:13 PM |
Ghastly decor and a pretentious couple. She looks like a smirking cunt who not so-secrety thinks her lug of a husband is an idiot, and he reveals that she's right.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | February 4, 2023 4:09 PM |
She does get brutally fucked by said lug on the regular, r54 — which is what the DL wants from him as well - so there’s that.

They don’t look like they have a lot of sex.

by Anonymous | reply 58 | February 4, 2023 9:43 PM |
He’s Fat-Fit. (And wears it well)
by Anonymous | reply 59 | February 4, 2023 9:58 PM |
Carroll Gardens is a nice area. Many of the brownstones set far back from the sidewalk. This area was once known as South Brooklyn, which most people think is Sheepshead Bay, Brighton Beach, and Coney Island.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | February 4, 2023 10:29 PM |

is the Christina Ricci doppelganger the one Allen girl who claims that Woody fingered her in the attic ? she's not unattractive, but she clearly hates her gay husband and despises his taste in wallpaper
by Anonymous | reply 62 | February 5, 2023 12:20 AM |
I loathe that ridiculous kitchen but I like both of them as people. I adore her haircut,so few women can carry that look off and she does in spades. Hes a sexy beast,I bet hes delightful in bed.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | February 5, 2023 1:52 AM |
She obviously designed this house while he was away filming. She really got carried away with all the flowers prints. He’s been pussy whipped. It looks like a house for a old eccentric 80 year old woman.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | February 5, 2023 3:50 PM |
Is the house just for her? To keep her around. The pink bedroom is hilarious
by Anonymous | reply 65 | February 5, 2023 3:56 PM |
Her hair looks ridiculous, R63. The Louise Brooks died with Louise Brooks.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | February 5, 2023 4:06 PM |
*The Louise Brooks look died with Louise Brooks.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | February 5, 2023 4:06 PM |
The long narrow island in the kitchen bugs me but I guess that's the way it has to be because the townhouse itself is long and narrow. I guess it would be foolish to divide the house up into smaller, squarish rooms. The stairs are narrow too, but that's what you have to work with.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | February 5, 2023 4:15 PM |
The house isn't the problem. It's the occupants.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | February 5, 2023 4:17 PM |
LOL R69.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | February 5, 2023 4:18 PM |
I had never heard of her. Scroll down to Personal life. Maybe that's why the house looks like a panic room.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | February 5, 2023 5:38 PM |
She has a very fug brother with a big uncut anaconda. And yeah, she's nuts.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | February 5, 2023 5:39 PM |
Yup. They live at 381 Union Street in Carroll Gardens. If you look at OP's video, the houses neighboring the backyard when David is showing the sauna match the backyard photo of the listing at R30 --- an orangey brick one, then a red one with white window frames and then a beige one with black window frames.
Glad to help out their stalkers.

Lily Allen still exists?
by Anonymous | reply 74 | February 8, 2023 5:03 AM |
Yes, R74, and she's living in Brooklyn with David Harbour and has two daughters from ex-husband Sam Cooper. At first, I assumed the two daughters were with Harbour.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | February 8, 2023 5:24 AM |
I had a lover who squatted an abandoned small bank in Carroll Gardens. For years. Just him. It was one of the greatest Brooklyn houses of all times. Simply perfect. Lily looks good. But fake. And she spent too much on this awful fake fake fake fake decor. I'm surprised she is so ridiculously fake and for show.

She’s English. It’s her default setting.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | February 8, 2023 5:27 AM |
Yup. Harbour is pussy whipped. She's cheated in the past, the daughters are with an ex and she decides 90% of the decor in the house.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | February 8, 2023 5:34 AM |
Tell us more about the Bank squat R76. What years? how did he set it up? Pull it off? How did it end?
by Anonymous | reply 80 | February 8, 2023 5:36 AM |
80s. Carroll Gardens wasn't gentrified yet. Park Slope was only half (re)gentrified. Yet things were changing quickly! Although there were still absentee landlords for example. From 5th Ave in Park Slope to Hoyt - it was quite dumpy. Anyway, it ended with AIDS. 💀 True story one of his previous squat mates - around Pratt - was Madonna.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | February 8, 2023 5:42 AM |
And this brownstone is just too tarted up! There's no charm left.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | February 8, 2023 5:44 AM |
What a crock of bullshit, their home is very nice and livable.

R83 must be a huge fan of floral wallpaper.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | February 8, 2023 6:12 AM |

R76 you actually still believe that ?
by Anonymous | reply 87 | February 8, 2023 7:14 AM |
Very true, R81. I literally grew up on the block where they live. It's incredible what has become of the neighborhood. My dad was smart enough to wait and sell, so he did well. But I'd never want to live there now even with the gentrification.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | February 8, 2023 7:44 AM |
Why wouldn't you want to live there, R88, even if you had plenty of money?
by Anonymous | reply 89 | February 8, 2023 7:50 AM |
R89, because I like to drive and unless I had a garage --which is rare in that area-- it is a nightmare to park.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | February 8, 2023 7:52 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 93 | February 8, 2023 7:57 AM |
Didn't he drive a hooker to kill herself by jumping from his balcony? I also recall reading about him being really gross with a fan he picked up from Instagram, sticking his finger in her mouth or something.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | February 8, 2023 8:05 AM |
Yeah but he wasn't even in the country at the time, R94, and she had addiction problems.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | February 8, 2023 8:10 AM |
I like the kitchen, it manages to be both beautiful and functional. I also really like the living room with the floral wallpaper, I'd give almost anything to have that in my home, but then I like that sort of thing. The bathroom is amazing too, I particularly like those swan taps, they are fucking awesome, I want some for home.
The bedroom I'm not so keen on, mainly cos its all one colour and not a great colour either. All that pink is overwhelming. The lack of windows I actually dont mind at all, its actually a great feature if you're a shift worker like I am. But it needs a heavily patterned wallpaper and duvet cover, a couple of ornate gilded Louis XV chairs and a chandelier to finish it off. I'm not wild about about either of the closets, but then I can fit all my clothes into 2-3 big rubbish bags so I dont really need a walk in closet. I dont like that media room, would have been far more interesting done consistently with the living room
by Anonymous | reply 96 | February 8, 2023 8:32 AM |
Interesting reading the DL comments that assume it’s Lily with the money. I had the opposite thought. I’m sure I read years ago she was broke hence coming out of retirement for Sheezus album. Viewing the video I couldn’t help think maybe he was the rich one and that’s why she married him.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | February 8, 2023 8:38 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 99 | February 8, 2023 8:40 AM |
She's nuts, and in a nasty way. She's worse than Vivien Leigh. They've probably spent every dollar they have in this atrocity, and are in mortgage up to their neck. This will not end well.
by Anonymous | reply 100 | February 8, 2023 8:42 AM |
How could she spend so much money that she ends up 1 million pounds in debt? Is she bipolar?
by Anonymous | reply 101 | February 8, 2023 8:45 AM |
She's a raging bi-polar and a junkie. She's also a nympho. I don't remember the details of her first marriage and what she did to the first husband but it was a horror story. he's a nasty, nasty piece of work.

by Anonymous | reply 104 | February 8, 2023 8:58 AM |
R104 the poor guy probably didn't want to have to deal with her , no matter what. Shared custody is a nightmare when you don't get on

Her career is waning while his is fluorishing so I don't think she's paying all the bills.
She seems....messy. And, yeah, this is not going to be a long marriage.
His previous AD walk through of his cool apartment was great...lots of fun charm in that space.
This house seems....off. Like the marriage.
And, I think the wallpaper is great.
The swan faucets are stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 106 | February 8, 2023 9:53 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 108 | February 8, 2023 10:50 AM |
The wall. covering in the Garden Room is beautiful. I'm not as thrilled with the other rooms. Florals are nice but this is overdone to the max.
I think they are quirky and charming. They seem like fun people that enjoy themselves and life. Good for them. They love their home and that's what counts.
by Anonymous | reply 109 | February 8, 2023 10:50 AM |
Maybe it happened before they moved in, but I hate seeing some old home & all the original charm, wood flooring, etc. has been stripped out.
It's not bad & I guess I've seen worse, but as others aptly noted: it's 100% her - it literally looks like the apartment of some 20-something daughter of a Russian Oligarch (when she's not in Paris), so much of the house is not functional (curtains & chandelier in the kitchen, carpet/wallpaper in the bathroom - that black sink - shows *everything*) and while there are some nice touches, overall it's just **too much** - probably not unlike Lily herself.
You get the sense that he is giving the marriage/fatherhood thing the old college try, but it's only a matter of time before the cops show up due to one or both of them completely melting down & trashing the stuff they really hate.
by Anonymous | reply 110 | February 8, 2023 10:54 AM |
He married that obnoxious never been brit lilly Allen? Ew, why?
by Anonymous | reply 111 | February 8, 2023 12:11 PM |
R110 - did you see the pics of the place before they bought it in the real estate listing posted above? The room with the ceiling medallion had 60s wood paneling and the kitchen was 80s dark oak. nothing wrong with any of that, but it was furnished & finished like any older middle-middle class home that had been fixed up in the 60s -90s.
Before gentrification Carrol Gardens was an Italian-ish out of the way neighborhood with plenty of families who had owned those brownstones for more than one generation. They lived in Victorian homes not because they were design-junkies who sought then out but because that’s where they were born, or they were somewhat adventurous 70s schoolteachers who didn’t want suburbia. This renovation has gotten the house closer, at least in spirit, to what it originally was then how they found it.

by Anonymous | reply 115 | February 8, 2023 5:51 PM |
R112 - you are wrong. It is tarted up now as a very high bourgeois home. Those brownstones, and I lived in many, were constructed for the middle class and were not filled with immense Marie Therèse crystal chandeliers and luxury wall paper. There were good details and good workmanship. A modest marble mantel or two. That is all.

You had prime blocks in Park Slope along the Park, and in Brooklyn Heights. With truly luxurious brownstones and some mansions. This is not such a block.

yes, I know everyone says she made all the decisions in this house but MAYBE he wanted it that way? He didn't want to deal with all the decisions and choices etc etc etc...and left everything up to her?
Right now, I have a married friend who just moved and he's complaining to me that his wife kept asking him about colors, couches, drapes etc. He didn't want to be bothered and so he told her to do whatever she wanted.

He’s kind of an asshole. When Hellboy flopped, he blamed the audience that wouldn’t except it. I’m sorry it was a shitty ass movie. Terrible. He’s bipolar too. I love the fact that he’s living in that floral house. I can see her cheating on him in about a year.

Oh, so Lilly has dropped the faux chav (rich parents, and private schooling) and faux bi/lesbian thing to be a posh str8 married wife? r120 she is also bipolar and a serial identity grifter and attention whore so they probably are actually a great match.

I assume the previous owners were Italian because of the Virgin Mary statue on the fireplace at photo 11 of R30, and the cutesy Rococo? lamps on either side of the bed. The red carpet in the dining room in photo 6 was atrocious.
by Anonymous | reply 123 | February 9, 2023 3:53 PM |
Yes the pre glitz brownstone showed it's charming middle class raison d'être. The redo should have been to strip out the ugly and upgrade to original, simple finishes. Wood floors, plaster walls, maybe paper in a room or two. Not gigantic crystal chandeliers in the kitchen, which is both gross and ridiculous.

Have y'all even seen Harbour's film and tv credits? He definitely has more money than Allen. Not to mention he's from White Plains, NY and went to Barfmouth (Ivy League). Squarely upper middle class white guy. Even when her music career was at its height in the late 00s, Lily still was an indie UK artist trying to crossover (which never really happened). I have some of her songs. They're catchy, but I'd still trade them for a weekend sucking & riding her brother's cock. Royalties from "Smile" helped decorate the tacky living room at best.
She's doing what all directionless white women do: glom onto the nearest earner with reliable dough they can find, milk him for all he's worth, and if applicable, secure the bag with some kids. Harbour's pussy-whipped likely because of low self esteem. Look, straight guys just want steady access to pussy without too much fuss and trouble. That's what she gives him and in return, he lets her spend his money. David's funny and likable. Lily looks great. The level of bone thin only money can buy. I remember when she was a dumpy, cheeky Brit. Is she still making music or just enjoying his money?
As for the house, well, things started off promisingly, but then we arrived at the carpeted swan bathroom and never really recovered. Save for the kitchen, the house fails to maintain a taste level fit for selling to future buyers when the marriage fails. The glazing technique used on the walls isn't as good as what we saw in Mariah's iconic penthouse. The house is of course a good investment and they did improve it. It's just too disjointed in its style. Clearly a result of commoners who finally made enough money to show they lack taste.
Glad he made enough money to move out of the East Village, but still waiting for his Pratt-Krasinski breakthrough. He looked so thin and good in The Newsroom, I didn't realize that was him. Why bother getting fat? His film credits were stronger in the 00s while his tv credits were stronger in the 10s. He's a strong enough actor to go for major awards, but needs to pick better projects and drop 20 lbs. We'll see what he does next. I like them both in different ways. We'll see about the marriage.

Have you seen the cost of real estate in the East Village, R127? An apartment can cost more than a Brooklyn townhouse.

for those of you who aren't familiar with Lily's art.
by Anonymous | reply 144 | February 11, 2023 2:07 PM |
I'm sure he wears at least a towel around his waist. He can't be prancing around naked if the neighbors can see him from the upper floors of their homes. That's one thing I definitely wouldn't want to have - a sauna. I can't tell if the fence near the sauna has ivy or a vine growing on it and it didn't have any leaves at the time the video was made, or maybe that's just some kind of organic looking pattern on the fence.

Allen's transformation reminds me of Peaches Geldof; former party girl, celebutard, mainstay of the Daily Mail, posh wild child eventually gives up her wild ways, marries some kind & supposedly transforms into a domestic/mother goddess. Hopefully for Allen it is the real thing & we don't read some story about her ODing in her pink swan bathtub because the urge from use just became too much.
by Anonymous | reply 149 | February 12, 2023 11:17 AM |
I think it's the most beautiful irony that Lily's kids look like Rocky Dennis.
She spent much time in her early days slating the looks of the red haired one in Girls Aloud, referring to her as 'the ugly one'. It's come full circle and then some for Lily's own kids.
No doubt they'll be Nepos, just like she was, irrespective of their lack of looks.
Saw one thing for the Girls Aloud ladies, they didn't have connections backing them when they went on reality tv.

The one thing that I like, are the violet venetian drapes in the living room. I'll copy that, with 5 panels I'll have custom-made of vintage champagne silk ,embroided in silk flowers (from Paris) that I've spotted at the flea market, for my winter sun room.

by Anonymous | reply 167 | February 12, 2023 5:47 PM |
R162 - since there are double pocket doors between the windowless bedroom and the huge windowed bathroom I’m assuming, for code purposes, they are considered one room, since they essentially are when the pocket doors are open. Or the windowless area could be classified as an office, which is legal in NYC, you just can’t count it as a bedroom in the rental / RE listing.

[quote]Lily won't OD. She's not the self-destructive type of psycho, HE will.
Why would you say he could OD? The only thing I could find about his substance abuse problems was that he was a severe alcoholic when he was young and contemplated suicide. He was diagnosed as bipolar when he was 25 and started taking medication for it. Supposedly he stopped drinking around that time. If he were back to being a severe alcoholic, I think his career would be in tatters and Lily's patience would run out and she would leave him.

Lily Allen and Wino Ryder are a different kettle of fish. Wino is a druggie and a nympho, among other things, but she's mostly self-destructive. Lily is a killer. She will suck the life out of this guys's soul and reject his dead, headless enveloppe like a praying mantis from hell. Wait and see

r175 It's your typical "professionally" decorated monstrosity. Give a decorator a big budget and no boundaries (or, impart your own poor taste on the designer) and you'll get a hodge podgey mess.

I used to commute with a co-worker who looked just like David Harbour. Honestly, he had the biggest bulge I ever seen; he wasn't showcasing it in tight pants, there was just too much to fit in. Sitting across from him on the train, it was hard not to lower my gaze repeatedly in horned-up awe and disbelief. Seeing these pictures sparked an erotic stroll down memory lane for me, even if there are no bulging close-ups.
