@ least 3 people were killed & 4 others were wounded in a shooting in the Beverly Crest area early according to PO. - No info on suspect yet. -Ellison Drive near Benedict Canyon.

Calls about a multi-victim shooting in the 2700 block of Ellison Drive came in around 2:30 a.m, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.

The home was a short-term rental property.

This is what happened in Pittsburgh, too - someone rented an Airbnb, invited 300 people and of course, gunfire happened and two people were killed.

I rode my horse along the streets of Encino (including Ventura Blvd) in the late 1970s. There were still several horse properties in the Amestoy Estates area back then, and easy access to open space of the Sepulveda Dam Area (or up to Mulholland). There was no fake Lake Balboa or any of that back then. Just a golf course and lots of cornfields.

I think everyone would pay a lot more, both landlords and renters, if AirBnB screened both parties for criminal records as a condition of using the platform.
