Blacks

by Anonymousreply 3January 28, 2023 3:49 PM

The media made a mistake. It's in Beverly Crest, not Beverly Hills.

Beverly Crest is Beverly Hills adjacent. It's right next to Beverly Hills, Weho & Bel air.

Drake just bought lots of property in Beverly Crest.

Dreadful things tend to happen at Benedict Canyon!

Black parties are dangerous

How many Rolexes were taken

by Anonymousreply 9January 28, 2023 5:35 PM

Calls about a multi-victim shooting in the 2700 block of Ellison Drive came in around 2:30 a.m, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.

The home was a short-term rental property.

AirBnB party house?

by Anonymousreply 11January 28, 2023 7:26 PM

This is crazy! They have to do something about parties in these rental houses. I can’t believe there’s only 11 replies to this thread!

Give it time. Datalounge hasn't yet determined if white people can be blamed.

by Anonymousreply 14January 28, 2023 10:32 PM

Nana wouldn't have put up with such shenanigans at her block parties.

Aside from always bringing her delicious tuna casserole, Mrs. Moe Howard carried a Glock in her handbag.

by Anonymousreply 15January 28, 2023 10:43 PM

This is what happened in Pittsburgh, too - someone rented an Airbnb, invited 300 people and of course, gunfire happened and two people were killed.

by Anonymousreply 16January 28, 2023 10:45 PM

Why do people even go to these parties?

by Anonymousreply 17January 28, 2023 11:18 PM

Cause dey fun!

Til the fightin’ and shootin’ and shit go down.

Yoots.

by Anonymousreply 20January 29, 2023 12:05 AM

I swear Airbnb owners should get credit reports and background checks before renting. Do any of these places have hidden cameras?

by Anonymousreply 21January 29, 2023 3:55 AM

I remember this one in the Bay Area in 2019.

AirBNB is one of the worst things to happen to America

by Anonymousreply 23January 29, 2023 4:49 AM

We used to ride horses through the streets!

by Anonymousreply 24January 29, 2023 5:09 AM

R23 what about VRBO?

by Anonymousreply 25January 29, 2023 7:29 AM

I rode my horse along the streets of Encino (including Ventura Blvd) in the late 1970s. There were still several horse properties in the Amestoy Estates area back then, and easy access to open space of the Sepulveda Dam Area (or up to Mulholland). There was no fake Lake Balboa or any of that back then. Just a golf course and lots of cornfields.

by Anonymousreply 26January 29, 2023 8:01 AM

R25 the whole industry, between businesses like AirBNB/VRBO and rich foreigners/corporations buying up the housing market - everyday people are doomed

by Anonymousreply 27January 29, 2023 1:10 PM

R21, AirBnB doesn't let you try to screen renters.

I think everyone would pay a lot more, both landlords and renters, if AirBnB screened both parties for criminal records as a condition of using the platform.

I think we can guess what the objection to that would be.

by Anonymousreply 28January 29, 2023 1:57 PM

Benedict Canyon?

Don't get me started on how upscale Benedict Canyon is.

by Anonymousreply 29January 29, 2023 2:24 PM

The one thing those fond memories have in common is fewer people. Almost everything is shit now, because it has to cater to millions of people. There’s just too many of us.

by Anonymousreply 30January 29, 2023 2:47 PM

R5, dreadful things, you say?

by Anonymousreply 31January 29, 2023 3:11 PM

r22 Hey! That's the town where I grew up (many years ago). I had never heard about that incident. (I haven't lived in the area for decades.)

by Anonymousreply 32January 29, 2023 4:49 PM

R32.

Parentheses do not suffer when not used. They just wait until THEY'RE APPROPRIATE.

No one needs Nested Russian Doll communications. Not even the fucking Russians.

by Anonymousreply 33January 29, 2023 5:08 PM

Authorities on Sunday identified the victims as Nenah Davis, 29, of Bolingbrook, Ill.; Destiny Sims, 26, of Buckeye, Ariz.; and Iyana Hutton, 33, of Chicago.

One neighbor tells KTLA that the home is often rented out for parties.

“It was a rental party house,” said Rachel David. “It’s not like all of a sudden this neighborhood is crazy. It was just that somebody didn’t check who was renting that house.”
