He looks so much like Donald Trump it’s uncanny.

Cats will eventually rule the world. They're only letting us live as a food supply.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 27, 2023 11:22 PM |
I hope the lions were on statins.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 27, 2023 11:22 PM |
Couldn't he just outrun the lion?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 27, 2023 11:22 PM |
All very fat people sorta look alike.
Tasty.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 27, 2023 11:22 PM |
Is that Dump? He's really slimmed down hasn't he.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 27, 2023 11:23 PM |
This story is delicious, pun intended!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 27, 2023 11:23 PM |
Good for the lions.

We can be happy now, but when these kitties eventually get opposable thumbs, we all fucked.
R2 is right.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 27, 2023 11:33 PM |
Well at least Mr. Lion will sleep well tonight.
(I assume lions are like us after a big meal.)
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 27, 2023 11:35 PM |
This is a great story - the only thing that would've made it better is if the lion had killed the entire family
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 27, 2023 11:36 PM |
Any legitimate news sources confirming this? Smells fake, such as not naming the hunter.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 27, 2023 11:39 PM |
Good.
I love stories like this. Big game hunters should all be literally fed to lions. Round them up and charge admission. More fun than guillotines for sure.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 27, 2023 11:40 PM |
Next on the lion’s hit list: Junior Mint and Eric.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 27, 2023 11:42 PM |
I was just thinking of them R18! Great minds.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 27, 2023 11:43 PM |
Supersize it!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 27, 2023 11:48 PM |
He may have paid the local tribe to hunt it. His wife definitely paid off that lion's brother. She's finally free.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 27, 2023 11:51 PM |
How could that lump have chased after anything let alone a lion?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 28, 2023 12:26 AM |
Did he take a freighter to Africa?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 28, 2023 12:28 AM |
Did the lion post a pic of Fatty's bloody remains on his Insta?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 28, 2023 12:32 AM |
I'd love to see a video of the lions' feast. I'd pop a bottle of champagne while watching.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 28, 2023 12:33 AM |
Why didn't he just hide..... Somewhere.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 28, 2023 12:45 AM |
There’s video of the incident in the linked article R25. Fatso was live streaming.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 28, 2023 1:02 AM |
I’m confused. The man in the video isn’t fat. If that is real, I am totally freaked that I just saw and heard that.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 28, 2023 1:39 AM |
Also, how were they eaten alive if they lion left so quickly? And no mention of the woman? What was that honking sound before she saw it?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 28, 2023 1:40 AM |
It's fine, the lion is on keto so he can have the extra fat.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 28, 2023 1:51 AM |
Geez, you can see a lion charge and hear the woman scream.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 28, 2023 2:06 AM |
[quote]Others doubted the veracity of the story, so we will keep you posted if the report turns out to be false.
Okay.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 28, 2023 2:10 AM |
You hear her scream but you also hear gunshots. Then the lion meanders back into the frame a minute later. Did that couple get away?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 28, 2023 2:16 AM |
[quote]The article featured an image of a Savannah Lion killed in the Kalahari Desert, South Africa over a decade ago, with a message falsely claiming that the photo was taken recently in South Africa.
[...]
[quote]The creators of the misleading video in question had manipulated a photograph of a lion that was hunted in 2013, superimposing it on a generic landscape resembling South Africa. They then staged a scenario in which a lion was depicted as taking revenge on two trophy hunters. The originators of this video remain unidentified, however, it is believed to have been produced as part of an anti-hunting advocacy campaign.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 28, 2023 2:17 AM |
The video is completely fake. The dead lion is fake. The acting is fake, and the charging lion is clearly video layered on top of video. Sorry.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 28, 2023 2:18 AM |
I didn't know there was a video R31 so went and looked.
I've seen that video before long ago. It's fake. (see link below) It's not to do with the great big fat person in the OP's link. Or is it? Is the story about the great big fat person in the pic or is it about the video?
To be frank - that whole story is fucking lazy and tacky in its execution. It's reporting on tweets as actual content. Not even any analysis or anything. Just pasting the contents of tweets. Not even bothered to confirm any of it. And in The Esquire too! I guess nobody reads that anymore right?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 28, 2023 2:18 AM |
[quote]On 7 June 2016, YouTube user Jayden Tanner published a video purportedly showing "leaked" footage of a trophy hunter being attacked by a lion while posing for a photograph with another lion she had allegedly killed:
[quote]The video was accompanied by the hashtag #stoptrophyhunting, and was shared with a message claiming that the video was taken in South Africa
[...]
[quote]This video does not show a real incident. In addition to some problems with the optics — the lion makes its way from the horizon to the camera at an alarmingly fast (and quiet) rate — this footage used an image of a lion that was killed in 2013, not 2016 as claimed in the YouTube messag

Nice work DL Hot Detective Squad @ R34 and 35. You posted that while I was writing mine.
Connecting the two. The Esquire journalist has stolen a headline from one article and pasted the contents of various tweets as the story. Not bothering to even use Google.
I mean... that's pretty bad. That's a very low standard. I just thought The Esquire was quite classy and well-done.
Anyway - anyone who hunts animals like this is sub-human. The same level as paedophiles. Unacceptable thing to do on any level, for any reason.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 28, 2023 2:39 AM |
I hope someone gave the kitty some Lipitor.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 28, 2023 2:46 AM |
Everyone knows it’s the lioness who hunts and kills. The male Lion just sits around and watches until it’s time to eat. That’s how I knew it was fake. Although I wanted it to be true!

He could have just sat on him and killed him.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 28, 2023 8:28 AM |
Whether the story's true or not that pic looks legit but let's be clear...
That man is NOT A HUNTER. FFS, that man needs a rascal scooter just to go to the mailbox.
Yet they expect me to believe he didn't just hire a "guide" who tranquilized the animal so they're a slow groggy target and then drives the man to a nearby area where he can sit at a podium with a scoped rifle and merely pull the trigger..
That's what these shithats call hunting.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 28, 2023 10:43 AM |
Somebody needs to get that pride of lions a truckload of Crestor, STAT!
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 28, 2023 10:47 AM |
If it was real, the poor lion would have the runs from eating so much lard
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 28, 2023 11:15 AM |
So, if the story isn't true, is the guy in the photo still a prey-for-pay Safari hunter? There have been so many good jokes in this thread, and it seems a shame to waste them.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 28, 2023 7:25 PM |
It is a damn shame, R47. I had a joke all ready about the lion pride finally being able to use the Tupperware they got for Christmas.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 28, 2023 7:28 PM |
I'm so bummed out it isn't true. Hopefully that fat cunt will get eaten, though.

I'm thinking a lot shorter time period than that R51.

Perhaps but the role of the male lion is to protect the pride, which is apparently what they were doing in this case.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 29, 2023 4:19 AM |
In which case R59?
by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 29, 2023 4:25 AM |

Esquire 𝑀𝑖𝑑𝑑𝑙𝑒 𝐸𝑎𝑠𝑡. I don't even know if this is an actual subsidiary of Esquire or just some Middle Eastern conmen.
The story had almost every possible red flag. Says a lot about the people who took the bait.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | January 29, 2023 4:43 AM |
Yes indeed R62.
The gross fatty that looked like Dump was a nice touch though.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | January 29, 2023 6:29 AM |
These safari hunters probably have several other men with rifles at the ready, so if the hunter who is paying all the money shoots and misses when the lion is charging at them, the other men will kill the lion before he has a chance to reach them.
