Thank you R34. I went to high school with Kristen, spent a little time with her after graduation. She had a pudgy boyfriend and a very conventional 70s/80s shag. She wanted to be model but was so generic and clueless that seemed unlikely.

I heard a lot about her from friends in the fashion industry over the years. But I never actually saw her work as a runway model. I saw a few photos and that was it.

I had been baffled by her success, but I get it now.
