After 17 seasons, 'Rachel Ray Show' is on the chopping block
Now in it's seventeenth season and weakening in the ratings, inside sources say 'The Rachel Ray Show' is on the chopping block and this will be the last season. However, officials for the show say they haven't heard anything from CBS Media Ventures (producers of the show), and probably won't hear a decision until March at the earliest. To change things up a bit for viewers, Rachel Ray kicked off Season 17 from her new home she built in Italy.
In the meantime, Sherri Shepherd's new show "Sherri" (which replaced Wendy Williams' show "Wendy") has been renewed for two more seasons - through the 2024-25 season. Her competition, "The Jennifer Hudson Show" hosted by EGOT winner 'JHud' has also been renewed for a second season. Both freshman shows have surpassed expecations in the ratings. (JHud has replaced Ellen DeGeneres in most markets)

The shows from Sherri and Jennifer may have some novelty because they're new, and also, they're probably cheaper to make.

She is the epitome of frau. “Let’s finely chop everything and put it into a pan on high heat! EVOO!”

I can't stand her or her husband. Au revoir !

I've seen pictures of the husband when they first met, and he was clean shaven with short hair and perfectly fine looking. Now he looks like a hipster hobbit. I'm so sick of him and that damn scarf around his neck. Didn't that trend die out years ago?
She's been doing the same basic dishes for a decade, just tweaking the ingredients and seasonings here and there. She's said herself on the show how frustrating it is to try to write new recipes to demonstrate, because you can only do so many variations of carbonara, pot roast, barbecue, etc. She seems to have enough money to live an Oprah-adjacent lifestyle, so I can't imagine she's too chuffed about being cancelled.
Are her pots and pans any good?

I didn't know she had a show. How can someone stand that chirpy chipmunk cheeked hobbit?

I've accidentally caught Rachel Ray when working remote. I like to have the TV on for some background noise. For the life of me, I cannot figure out what the focus of Rachel Ray's show is about. It feels random like she's just making it up as she goes along during the hour.

I noticed the same thing, R10 - there seems to be no format nor direction. However, I know many people who love to cook and won't miss one episode of hers. They have become very inspired and creative watching her show.

What will happen to co-host Tommy Didario?

Tommy will go back to being an over-priced gay escort.

Anyone remember $40 a day? Where she would go out to emotionally eat by her lonesome self, then screw over all the wait staff with a ridiculously cheap tip.

She and her bland hubby are getting weirder and crabbier. Stick a fork in it.

I never watched her. Whenever I'd catch a bit of her making something, I never thought it looked appetizing.

She is on streaming services. She will go into perpetual food channel reruns just like the first 20 years of America's Test Kitchen / Cooks Country.

I liked Rachael's cooking shows on Food Network, but her talk show was unwatchable due to the obnoxious audience that applauded and screamed every 15 seconds.

R21- Just like Oprah’s FRAU audience would have multiple ORGASMs over anything she said or did.

R7, I’ll answer your question… her pots and pans are excellent, at least from my experience. I bought my mom a couple of them for last Christmas and she really likes them, says they’re really good quality. For what it’s worth (and my mom cooks a lot).

She does have good cooking products. I have a couple of her pans. She, however, needs to let the show go. There were a couple episodes I saw during the early stages of the pandemic where she seemed really, really drunk or under the influence of SOMETHING. Aren't there rumors of her also being a total gash to people? She's likely not AS BAD as Ellen, but you can tell when she gets annoyed and seems like she throws shit at people when the camera turns off.
