Who Actually Made the Best Chili on "Mama's Family"?

Who actually made the best chili in Raytown?

by Anonymousreply 33January 25, 2023 11:37 PM

Alberta Meechum

by Anonymousreply 1January 25, 2023 12:28 AM

Iola Lucille Boylan

by Anonymousreply 2January 25, 2023 12:28 AM

All I know is that I made the best damn rum balls!

by Anonymousreply 3January 25, 2023 12:30 AM

Mel Sharples

by Anonymousreply 4January 25, 2023 12:32 AM

Mel,

Your chili taste ok, but it gives me the runs.

Lolly Perdue

by Anonymousreply 7January 25, 2023 12:43 AM

I prefer Bubba's balls to Aunt Effies.

by Anonymousreply 8January 25, 2023 12:45 AM

Nobody beats Naomi Harper's chili's - the secret ingredients are the Fritos and the beer.

by Anonymousreply 9January 25, 2023 12:50 AM

No, Naomi's secret ingredient was a can of ... chili.

by Anonymousreply 10January 25, 2023 12:52 AM

I make a lot of chili, so I watched this episode closely.

Obviously, Naomi's chili was in last place.

IIRC, Mama and Iola used pretty much the same ingredients. I don't recall any unusual ingredients.

I'd say Iola won, though. Why? IMO, a lot of times skinny people are better cooks than overweight cooks, like Mama.

by Anonymousreply 11January 25, 2023 12:56 AM

That tubbo roselle huplander.

by Anonymousreply 12January 25, 2023 1:14 AM

Naomi’s gave me the trots. I think it was the beef jerky.

by Anonymousreply 13January 25, 2023 1:15 AM

The cook at the Bigger Jigger!

by Anonymousreply 14January 25, 2023 1:41 AM

^ who also used to be the cook at the lunch counter at the Rayhound Bus Station

by Anonymousreply 15January 25, 2023 1:45 AM

Chiwi, chiwi, I want chiwi!

by Anonymousreply 16January 25, 2023 1:45 AM

I wasn't asked to vote.

My wife Thelma's chili usually gave me the trots too.

by Anonymousreply 18January 25, 2023 1:53 AM

Spicy foods are the work of the devil!

by Anonymousreply 19January 25, 2023 2:38 AM

Lolly Perdue couldn't even read the damn recipe.

by Anonymousreply 20January 25, 2023 3:04 AM

I prefer the chili at Abdul's Garden of Eating, when I'm not eating the 1000 Year Old Hushpuppies at Shanghai Ray's.

by Anonymousreply 21January 25, 2023 3:11 AM

Well, does it come with our without the shingle?

by Anonymousreply 22January 25, 2023 3:33 AM

Even six feet under, Carl Harper still breaks a noxious wind thanks to Thelma's chili.

by Anonymousreply 23January 25, 2023 3:47 AM

It was all Food Lion store brand.

by Anonymousreply 24January 25, 2023 3:58 AM

^ That's "Food Circus", thank you very much!

by Anonymousreply 25January 25, 2023 11:57 AM

My chili is the best and if you don’t agree I”LL KILL YOU!!!

by Anonymousreply 26January 25, 2023 3:10 PM

I only use chili on hot dogs. Like the fancy dancy parties Merv Griffin throws where Pia Zadora put away six of them suckers!

by Anonymousreply 27January 25, 2023 6:18 PM

What's chili?

by Anonymousreply 28January 25, 2023 6:35 PM

You just wait ‘til you see what I’ve had in the slow cooker all day. Mmmm…mmm. With fresh sauerkraut and the “piece of resistance” Spaghettios!!

by Anonymousreply 29January 25, 2023 8:50 PM

Just don’t ask me to make lemonade. I’m not great with new recipes.

I’ll make you the drink I’m famous for….Grape Kool-Aid!!

Naomi's fresh-brewed coffee is the best! Hot water from the tap and two teaspoons of freeze-dried crystals!

by Anonymousreply 32January 25, 2023 10:21 PM

Whatever skills I may have lacked in the kitchen...

I MORE than made up for in the bedroom
