For me, it was the external Imation SuperDisk drive I bought with my Power Mac G4 in 2000. It read floppy disks as well as SuperDisks and the drive was an utter piece of shit. There was something off with the power supply and most of the time the computer couldn’t read the disks. To get it to work properly you had to unplug it from the wall and leave it unplugged all night before using it.
What was the worst piece of technology you ever owned?

An Epson scanner about 20 years ago. It was terrible and always, always jammed. On every page.

The last iPod I bought. Whichever version was shaped like a little square and so easy to lose.

My Sony Vaio laptop computer. I wanted to love it, but it had quirks from the first day I got it. After the Vaio, I changed back to Mac.

I think that was the iPod Shuffle. I never understood the need for that. You could do the same thing (shuffle) with a regular, rectangular iPod. It wasn't like the rectangular iPod was so huge that you needed to downsize it to a small square.

The rude comments under the greyed-out OP seems telling.

Most recently, my Vizio Series D Smart TV.
Really wanted to love it, because for the price, the picture is absolutely beautiful, but, as the comments at this youtube "troubleshooting" video indicate, this thing is anything but "Smart."
I've had it for over two years now, but it's been both trial and error, then more trials, more errors. For awhile, I actually disabled the internet connection for it, but then that caused a different problem. I can't even tell you how many times I've had to start over and reset the TV to factory settings.

r1, I have the opposite experience. I bought my Epsom scanner because it was open box for $12 at Frye's. I have since replaced three printers and the little scanner does exactly what it does. I leave it unplugged on my 17" Cannon, it is computer driven, and put the computer cord in when I need it. However, the first Epson printer I got rid of, I threw off the third floor balcony, into a dumpster, I hated it so much.

My first Mac laptop was awful. Really underpowered and slow.
