Triggered Junior & Hot Stuff?
[quote] Because nepo babies are all the rage right now, Donald Trump Jr. launched his new Rumble show Triggered With Don Jr. on Monday night. In an extremely on-brand move, things got off to a bumpy start. The former president’s son proceeded to rant for an entire hour because if there’s one thing this family loves to do it’s talk forever with no rhyme or reason to what they’re saying. However, this time around, Don Jr. showed a surprising amount of self-awareness as he became noticeably insecure about the state of the show. At one point, he actually turned to Kimberly Guilfoyle for reassurance after realizing he’d be blabbing the whole time. To her credit, Guilfoyle took the opportunity to throw Junior right under the bus. Via Raw Story:

[quote] A headline in yesterday’s New York Times opinion section pronounced former Attorney General William Barr’s efforts to rehabilitate his image “kaput.” Hoping to erase from public memory any recollection of how avidly he carried water for Donald Trump, Barr has engaged in a public-relations campaign he launched shortly after Trump left office and advanced in a memoir in which he criticizes the former president he served. But a Times report last week about the effort Barr initiated to “investigate the investigators”—setting John Durham loose to hunt out Trump’s supposed deep state persecutors—is a jarring reminder of how willing Barr was as attorney general to trample legal norms, disregard national security, and even degrade his own reputation for Trump’s sake.
Bill Barr is trying to re-write his shameful legacy. With Durham, he paved the way for Gym Jordan. It was the most dramatic news involving DA Bragg since he halted another grand jury probe a year ago - that one of Mr. Trump's real estate financial records. Bragg's decision prompted veteran prosecutor, Mark Pomerantz, to resign in protest. Pomerantz has a reputation for handling complex financial crimes, and he told us he doesn't understand why his team was stopped from proceeding. Tonight, you'll hear what Pomerantz discovered in his investigation and why he still thinks the DA Should prosecute the former president on what he says is a very significant case of financial fraud.

Carrie Severino, the president of the Judicial Crisis Network, a leading conservative advocacy group, on Tuesday highlighted that Graham broke with every Republican on the Judiciary Committee last week to advance 12 of Biden’s judicial nominees, including Bradley Garcia, whom Biden nominated to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals and who could be a future Supreme Court pick.

Damn. Biden gave one of the best SOTU speeches I’ve ever seen. Yes, this is a common consensus today, but damn, it’s needs repeating. He was masterful. I cannot remember a time when a president hit all the notes they should promoting their accomplishments and agenda, and yet really annihilating the opposition with style, flare, and finesse. And he did it with a smile, with folksy charm, while deftly shivving them more effectively than a horror movie villain.
I’m super proud.

When the White House called up Twitter in the early morning hours of September 9, 2019, officials had what they believed was a serious issue to report: Famous model Chrissy Teigen had just called President Donald Trump “a pussy ass bitch” on Twitter — and the White House wanted the tweet to come down.
That exchange and others like it are nowhere to be found in Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files” releases, which have focused almost exclusively on requests from Democrats and the feds to the social media company. The newly empowered Republican majority in the House of Representatives is now devoting significant resources and time to investigating this supposed “collusion” between liberal politicians and Twitter.
But former Trump administration officials and Twitter employees tell Rolling Stone that the White House’s Teigen tweet demand was hardly an isolated incident: The Trump administration and its allied Republicans in Congress routinely asked Twitter to take down posts they objected to — the exact behavior that they’re claiming makes President Biden, the Democrats, and Twitter complicit in an anti-free speech conspiracy to muzzle conservatives online.

Pence will claim executive privilege. Smith will argue Pence gave that up when he wrote his book. Trump will then argue that his executive privilege extends to conversations he had with his veep, who shouldn’t be allowed to testify. Republicans seem hell bent on making treason so common to call it out would be to seem irrational because you’d be calling an entire political party treasonous.
They’re doing something similar concerning stolen elections. It’s so obvious 2020 was a fair election, but they’ve gone all in on it when they do it so blatantly in the daylight us calling it out will be met with chants of hypocrisy. The media will push whatever Republican narrative they want.
On another note Biden called out republicans today on Social Security and Medicare saying it’s many Republican’s dreams to get rid of them saying if that is their dream he’s their nightmare. Said, of course, with that bad ass grin. I’m so proud and happy he’s our president and fingers crossed he’s our president for 6 more years. I haven’t been this satisfied with a president in my lifetime. Honestly, it’s not even close.

[quote] If House Bill 1020 becomes law later this session, the white chief justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court would appoint two judges to oversee a new district within the city — one that includes all of the city’s majority-white neighborhoods, among other areas. The white state attorney general would appoint four prosecutors, a court clerk, and four public defenders for the new district. The white state public safety commissioner would oversee an expanded Capitol Police force, run currently by a white chief.

The problem has been Bragg all along.
Prosecutors in DoJ, NY, & Atlanta must file the indictments and stop the procrastination and timid behavior.
Jack Smith will gather the evidence and make recommendations. Then, will Merrick Garland just sit on it fretting over how he must not upset Trump & cohorts?
Some of the insurrection “boots on the ground” at the Capitol were arrested, prosecuted, and sentenced while other trials are awaiting.
DoJ has not arrested any of the “suit” guys, i. e:, the planners, the organizers, the propagandists, the financiers, and the coordinating operatives. Some are even still members of Congress.
Garland can call all kinds of press conferences to announce low-controversy and unrelated DoJ activities. But we won’t hear him announce any indictments of the insurrection bigwigs.

Mike Pence is preparing to resist a grand jury subpoena for testimony about former President Donald Trump’s push to overturn the 2020 election.
Pence’s decision to challenge Special Counsel Jack Smith’s request has little to do with executive privilege. Rather, he's set to argue that his former role as president of the Senate — therefore a member of the legislative branch — shields him from certain Justice Department demands.
Pence allies say he is covered by the constitutional provision that protects congressional officials from legal proceedings related to their work — language known as the “speech or debate” clause.

The anti-Trump Republicans, not a high percentage of the party, see him tainted by Trump and lacking the backbone to show independence from Trump. The evangelicals he is trying to appeal to, are being courted by other candidates (a few yet to announce), including Trump in particular.
Pence appeasing the guy who was refusing to intervene in the “hang Mike Pence” insurrection activity, won’t score political points. By dragging out his cooperation with the investigation, serves as frequent reminders he is avoiding speaking the truth to Justice authorities.

The Sussex/BRF threads are annoying, but ignorable, but they often descend into racism when they start speculating on her “whiteness” or “blackness” and then blame her for acting like one or the other.

The problem is the trolls. Some are foreign and others are far-right domestic entities. They have learned to be more subtle and less obvious. Twitter is flooded with anti-Ukraine posts. It carries over elsewhere. The trans-hate threads were proliferating with excessive propaganda and misinformation. The multiple BRF threads each day have been beyond annoying for a long time. DL is also quickly deleting offensive threads pertaining to gore, scat, etc. Good.

[quote] Leadership PACs for seven current Republicans maxed out with $10,000 contributions to their colleague, according to disclosures filed with the secretary of the senate and the Federal Election Commission. Republicans John Barasso (Wyoming), John Boozman (Arkansas), Michael Crapo (Idaho), Steve Daines (Montana), John Hoeven (North Dakota), James Lankford (Oklahoma) and Tim Scott (South Carolina) all routed money in Graham’s direction. The PAC of former Sen. Richard Shelby (Alabama) pitched in $10,000 as well. Shelley Moore Capito (West Virginia), Kevin Cramer (North Dakota) and Chuck Grassley (Iowa) sent several thousand dollars apiece. Some of these donations were reported previously by The Daily Beast and Raw Story. Tim Scott’s Tomorrow is Meaningful PAC sent $10,000 to Graham’s official campaign, but noted that it was for the legal defense fund, a separate pool of money. “We are working with TIM PAC to ensure the donation and the public record are accurate,” said Bishop, the spokesperson.

A Georgia special grand jury concluded that one or more witnesses in a probe into possible election meddling by former President Donald Trump may have lied under oath, and recommended a prosecutor pursue criminal indictments in those cases.
The sections of the report expected to reveal whether the grand jurors believed that Trump or his allies criminally interfered in Georgia’s election — and if there should be any indictments for that conduct — remain under seal.

Miss Hawley is not pleased with Miss Lindsey voting to approve Biden’s federal court nominees.
[quote] Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), a member of the Judiciary Committee, said Republicans shouldn’t have let Democrats confirm so many Biden nominees to the federal courts when the Senate was evenly split during Biden’s first two years in office. “The truth is the leadership squandered a 50-50 Senate. They could have at the committee level made a major push to vote together and to stop at least the circuit court nominees. Every single one of them would have required a discharge petition. We didn’t do that,” Hawley told The Hill. “There was no concerted effort made whatsoever,” he added. “Say what you want about [Democratic Judiciary Committee Chairman] Dick Durbin [D-Ill.] but he has not taken his eye off the ball. He’s had help from Republicans.” Senate Democrats are well ahead of the pace set by Republicans when they controlled the Senate during former President Trump’s term in office. Senate Republicans didn’t confirm the 100th judge appointed by Trump until May of 2019 — about three months later than when Biden hit the milestone. “I think it’s a good time near the beginning of this Congress to go back and look at the last Congress and compare that to what happened in the previous administration and figure out if we’re needlessly accelerating the pace at which they’re being confirmed,” said Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), another member of the Judiciary Committee. Graham told The Hill Thursday that there’s not much he can do to stop Biden’s nominees because Democrats control an 11-10 majority on Judiciary Committee. “They got the votes. Elections matter. We’ll fight when it makes sense,” he said. “We were accused of having a conveyor belt” of Trump judicial nominees when Republicans controlled the Senate. “This idea you get everything you want and they don’t get what they want when they’re in like circumstance, doesn’t work,” he said. Graham said he would “pick and choose” his battles wisely and explained, “I have a habit of trying to honor district court judges,” alluding to the deference he gives to fellow senators who try to fill district court vacancies in their home states with judges who are likely to be palatable to their constituents.

Has anyone else been watching this GA grand jury foreman who's been giving all of these interviews? She's really talking way too much and clearly enjoying being in the spotlight. Elie Honig just said on CNN that the GA prosecutors must be watching her and freaking out that she is running her mouth this way about a process that's supposed to be top secret. I'm just shocked that she can do this and not risk getting her ass thrown in jail by the judge.

Disgusting.
On a more hopeful note, some other analysts tonight said that although the jury foreperson is going "right up to the line," she hasn't crossed it and therefore not done anything yet to jeopardize the GA prosecutors' case.

The Republican mindset in a nutshell. Just like this:

By prosecuting Cohen, then Barr’s DoJ laid the foundation and evidence for “individual 1” to be later prosecuted. That’s not what Barr & Trump expected to occur.
Oh, Miss Lindsey is doing her nightly Fox show. She’s talking about NY, not Georgia where she meddled.

Pence seeks support from Louisiana Baptists. He “seeks a clear sense of our calling.” No comment from “Mother” was in the article.
Most of those people are MAGAs.

[quote] Vice President Pence closed the interview by asking Louisianans to pray for him and his wife, Karen. “We believed, at least the last 20 years, that we just wait for a clear sense of our calling; and we have been praying about just having a sense of where we might be called — not next serve — but where we might step forward,” he disclosed. “John Adams said memorably, ‘Duty is ours and outcomes belong to God.’ So, I covet the prayers of any of the faithful here in Louisiana as we try to discern our path forward and see what role we might play in the days ahead.”

The vision of St. Michael appeared to Trump in a dream one night recently while in bed at Mar-a-Lago. St. Michael told Trump, “you wayward and fallen from grace man, embrace the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and your life will be fulfilled.”
After pausing briefly, Trump replied “I won’t do that, but know I do embrace the Devil, Putin, and Miss Lindsey”. “Isn’t that fulfilling enough?”

^ [quote] I was still curious about how it all went down. This led to a number of sordid details, including how Trump chased her around his hotel room in his “tighty-whities.” That is a mental image I will never unsee. Even though Stormy and I remained friends, we never spoke about it again — that is, until Trump was sworn in as president.
Trump always catches me in his tighty-whities. hehe
